good hotel, long expensive taxi ride from airport”
This is a good hotel, a great breakfast, beautiful views of the harbour etc. but if you arrive after 10 the train doesn't run any more and it is an expensive taxi ride from the airport. That was our only complaint, otherwise the hotel is fine.
The shuttle to station was good but the morning shuttle to airport and night arrival shuttle too few”
Got shuttle from station but not useful since my arrival is 10pm Airport shuttle is definitely not sufficient

Hotel provide transportation to Train Station.28 min by train to KIX and 25 min to Namba.
Unfriendly staff at check in”
this is a transit type of hotel that cater to big tour groups and airline staffs , there really isn't much customer service since most of their clientele were either knows the drill ( airline staffs ) or already taken care of by their own paid tour guide. If you are individual travelers, you are out of luck .
Fair. But take note that if you're planing to book to this hotel, there is a free shuttle service from KIX airport to the hotel. The name of the hotel is Kirara Resort, not Sunroute Kanku. You don't want to be waiting for a bus that has the name "Kanku", but rather "kirara resort". Wait for it at Station S-12.

Small hotel and quite a distance away from the train station although there is a free shuttle from station to hotel but not very convenient and if u miss the train have to wait for an hour or so

I had emailed Agoda under special requests re airport transfer, had received no reply. A Japanese friend rang and emailed me to say that the last pick up was 21.45. My plane arrived 21.25 so was unable to use the service. This information was not available on booking, if I had known I would have choosen another hotel. I had to find my own way via train and taxi.
Decent hotel, but some problems”
we stayed in a semi-double room, and the room size was okay. the problem we had was with the air-conditioning though. it only blew hot air (this was early april, so the weather was on the chillier side), but in a few minutes, the room was uncomfortably hot. and there was no way we could control the temperature! the only choice we had was to open the windows and tolerate the noise of the traffic from the nearby highway. it would've been good if the hotel staff had warned us about this - we wouldn't have turned on the aircon at all.
the hot water pot was small and very dangerous when pouring - not very safe. When they near the Kansai airport, it was really not close by. The station was actually Izumiotsu and not Izumisano.

In the middle of nowhere”
The room is small, typical Japanese room. However, the price value ratio is not so good. Garden hotel is better.
Really helpful, good english place to stay”
Cheap, but classy place. Cost 8000 Yen in taxi though, so may have blown my Agoda saving on that. Short walk to traditional eating houses which made for great experiance. Staff helpful anf free shuttle back to airport (maybe from too, but I'm not sure) Would stay again.
Satisfactory small rooms but poor location”
Service ok, rooms very small, when asked staff what was to see locally, they laughed!
Rooms okay, but location not so good for shopping ”
I enjoyed my stay in the hotel, although as a foreigner in Japan, I would have preferred a place nearer the downtown area where I could roam around even in early evening. The hotel can improve services in terms of English speaking staff, provision of free computer and internet services to communicate abroad, and provision of an ice and water dispenser and water heating equipment for coffee or tea. Some souvenirs will also be appreciated.
Save the Worst for Last”
we are a couple traveling to japan with our 2 teenage kids. i booked and paid for 2 rooms in this hotel almost a month before our arrival date. this was going to be our last hotel stay during our vacation in japan and since our flight will be at 9am the following day, my husband and i chose a hotel near the airport. my family and i arrived at the sunroute kanku after 11pm, very tired after a long day at the tateyama mountains. when i saw the reaction of the staff at the front desk upon seeing us, i knew there was something wrong. it took a long time for them to give us our 2 prepaid, reserved rooms because it was obvious that they didn't expect us to come anymore and might have given our rooms to walk in clients. after a long wait, they were able to give us 2 rooms which were 5 floors apart. we were supposed to fix and pack our luggage, being the last hotel before an early flight, but had a lot of difficulty because of the not at all strategic locations of our rooms. the rooms given were also in smoking floors when i specifically indicated non smoking rooms. my comment is: when we book through agoda (which i always use), we are informed that a no-show will be charged one whole day fee. i have no qualms about that since the hotel will be reserving that room for a day for whomever booked it. so it is expected of the hotel to have that room ready, even if the occupants come in the wee hours of the morning. sad to say, this is obviously not the case with hotel sunroute kanku, even if the rooms have been paid for and reserved a month prior to arrival. i cannot recommend this hotel because of their lack of responsibility.
Beware of Japanese taxi drivers”
I chose the hotel for its proximity to the airport. Despite what the internet told me, there was no shuttle when I arrived at 9 pm. I took a taxi and gave him a map in Japanese. He took me to a wrong hotel with the same name. As it was too late and I was tired (and taxi would have been around $100), I stayed at the wrong hotel and paid double for the night in effect.
Got lost trying to walk to hotel from izumitzu station, however later discovered they had a free shuttle service. Hotel is very pretty, great harbour views, though not much around to do. would only recommend staying if too far to travel to osaka from airport at night. staff spoke english, were very friendly and helpful.
