3 Adults Travellers”
We booked this hotel with breadast and i would say is lousy with limited varieties. Is better not to pay that extra $ then to just buy your own breakfast. The hotel is very far away from the ginza subway and tokyo station . The room is so small till no wardrobe but only with afew clothes hangers given.
Room Is clean and size is OK compare to other new hotel nearby. However its still a bit far from metro station. Ginza station is such a complicated and big station with lots of construction work, Some exits are not available after 10pm. I recommend Sunroute hotel but better not the Ginza one.
Great service and assistance by counter staff! ”
I had a very good experience with Sunroute Ginza. Let me share why. I had forgotten to take my carrier bag put on the upper shelf deck of the Narita Access bus when I dropped off at Ginza bus stop, and the attendant at the bus stop was not very helpful maybe because they can’t speak English. Thus, I made my way to the hotel to check in and asked the hotel counter staff if she could help to dial the hotline from the bus company. Xu Yixuan, the hotel lady from Sunroute was very helpful and took the pains and effort to help me to dial over, got redirected twice and continued to ask the bus company staff to search for my bag with the details I’ve provided to her. Finally she managed to locate the whereabouts of the bus and asked for them to place it at the Toyko bus terminal station for me to pick up in another 30 mins. Thereafter she dialed a cab for me to pick it up. As such, I’m really happy that I’ve managed to retrieve my bag with the help of Yixuan. Definitely recommended!
Very nice place if you like walking around Ginza. A lot of nearby stations. The hotel is also near Tsukiji, Ippudo, Tendon Tenya. Love the location! Room is standard Japanese size but surprisingly bas a big restroom. Highly recommended.
Great Location, Very Clean, Helpful Staff”
This was my second weekend trip in Tokyo. I stayed in Odaiba during my first and lost valuable time traveling into the city. This time we stayed at Hotel Sunroute Ginza and it was great. The location was perfect -- three stations within a couple blocks. The closest was a two minute walk and the farthest around six minutes. With luggage, a taxi from the Kesei Ueno station was only $15, and $10 from Tokyo station. The hotel and room was very clean. Because it is Tokyo, the room was small, but we slept comfortably. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They stored our bags before check in so we could explore the city and held our bags after check out so that we could finish some shopping before our afternoon flight. Great stay. 10/10 will stay here again.
This wonderful little hotel checked all my boxes: ✅Great location. ✅ Comfortable bed. ✅ Powerful hot shower. ✅ Excellent LCD TV. ✅ Sound proofing. ✅ Clean ✅ Modern ✅ Helpful staff ✅. Reasonably priced I highly recommend staying here.
Great option for a stay in Ginza”
The hotel was clean and modern. Staff spoke excellent English, and they gave us a late check-out and stored our bags for 8hours afterwards to accommodate our late flight. The hotel is in a nice neighbourhood with good restaurants nearby. It felt clean and safe. There are multiple train/subway stations within a 5 minute walk, and Tokyo station is 10-15mins on foot. Would definitely stay here again.
Very Comfortable Bed”
Typical small Japanese hotel room with a bed more comfortable than most others I have stayed at. Close to several different metro stops and just off the main Ginza shopping road if that is your thing. Breakfast is fine but nothing great. For the price in this area, it is a good value and I would stay here again.
Value for money, small room equipts with everything you need.”
Walking to metro station takes about 6-10mins depends on which one. Tokyo Train station walking is about 15 -20mins away. Take a taxi cost less than 700yen. The room is very small but with the price paid, cant complain. it has everything u need including kettle, fridge, all sorts of toiletries and a big bath tub. Bed is comfy. Reception speaks English and friendly.
there is a glass on the wall between the bathroom and the bedroom and it is not possible to block out the light when someone is using the bathroom. It is a bit annoying if you need to sleep in complete darkness and your family member is using the bathroom.
Good Choice for Overnight Stay”
We transited in Tokyo and stay overnight at Sunroute. The location is great so we managed some last minute shopping as well as good meals. 10!minutes drive from Tokyo Station is also a great plus. Room is small, as expected, but beds are comfy and bathroom well equipped. Staff are nice. Breakfast doesn’t have too many options but very tasty. Will stay again.
It's my second time staying at this hotel, and the experience has been good as usual. However, I think the lights in the room can be a little dim. They probably need to add an extra spotlight somewhere, or perhaps use brighter bulbs.
A totally bad experience! PLEASE DON'T CHOOSE THIS HOTEL unless you not afraid of heart attack”
Bed had a heavy cigarette smell. Woke up the next night itchy all over. REALLY ANGRY!!! AND GOT CRAZY ABOUT THE POOR ATTITUDE OF STAFF Counter staff was unhelpful and did not honour prior promises made by the hotel agent contacted via Agoda before the trip. We had originally booked a total of 3 nights over 2 booking and has contacted the hotel agent via Agoda to arrange the 3 nights to be in the same room. We received a late reply (still prior to the trip) confirming that such an arrangement was possible. However, when we reached the hotel, the desk agent refused to book us into the same room for the 3 nights. Upon further discussion and escalation to the manager, it turns out that they can arrange for us to be in the same room IF WE PAID A FEE. Communication was also difficult as the front desk staff did not speak much English (management level had non-existent levels of English).
Very good experience”
Small but well equipped rooms, good breakfast and very good location in Ginza.
Good location ”
Good location in Ginza and the staff are helpful. I found the hotel a bit lacking in amenities compared to the other two hotels I stayed at in Tokyo and Osaka. For example the hotel only provided a towel set of two instead of three, and the hotel doesn’t have a laundromat. The staff are really helpful and act to concerns fast. Our first room’s bathroom had a strong weird (piss) smell, perhaps it wasn’t cleaned properly since last incumbent. The staff changed the room instantly.
Clean and Cozy”
My friend stayed two nights here, and had a "two twin beds" hotel room. The twin beds were quite spacious, more like a super single, which is why the room could have accommodated two small children. The rooms are quite tight in space, but it was fine for the two of us. We enjoyed the plentiful toiletries and to our surprise, the water from the bathroom sink is drinkable water! So cool! The location can't be beat, it's so close to Ginza's main shopping area and subway. We took the Airport Shuttle to Narita airport from the Ginza stop and it was a less than ten minute taxi ride. Also found that to be way less crowded than the Tokyo station stop.
Hotel was great, but very small”
Hotel was clean, in a good location (about 3/4 mile from Tokyo Station, but a do-able walk). Staff was friendly, rooms were very small, but clean and tried to provide some extra room like a small cocktail table for eating. We had the twin room and slept our family of 4 comfortably enough., but no room for extra things like suitcases to be put out. There is about a foot of room on any given side of the bed. The area around was clean and beautiful and lots of shops to check out. Hotel breakfast was a mix of Japanese and a few Western items, our children ate fine. Overall a good stay and I could stay there again.
Great location in the Ginza district. Close enough to walk to the "action", but located on a quiet side street. This was my first hotel stay in Tokyo and I was taken aback by the lack of space in my room, especially any sort of storage drawers or closet for my clothes. The room had a desk which I would have gladly given up for some storage! Other than that (which may be my own naïveté re: space considerations in Tokyo) the room was super clean and the staff very nice.
Great location with 10 walk to Ginza station”
The hotel is located in the heart of Ginza. There are 3 metro stations near the hotel, some smaller stations are within 5 mins walk, but for a major station like Ginza station is around 10 mins. There are plenty of eateries around the hotel, some are 24/7, plus 2 convenient stores. The hotel is clean and new, the room is standard for 3 stars Japanese hotels.
Will Stay Again”
Second time in Tokyo and opted to stay in Ginza area this time. And just wow this hotel made my Tokyo trip one for the books! Restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores are aplenty nearby. Located at the heart of the shopping district - so make sure you check out all the shops (local and international). Metro station nearby. Also near Tokyo station & Ginza station. Tsukiji market only 5 mins by taxi. Hotel’s amenities are complete. They even have a free mobile phone with internet in my room for use during my entire stay. Staff were nice and very helpful - especially the reception lady who was kind enough to explain to the taxi where we should go. Airport transportation options were also explain to us. I like this hotel a lot. And oh, We can borrow umbrellas! I will definitely stay again! If not here, then in other Sunroute hotel chains.
Thank you for staying in Hotel Sunroute Ginza. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your experience with us. We look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel in the near future. Best regards Hotel Sunroute Ginza
