Reasonably priced hotel”
I stayed for one night for business travel. I stayed at a room without bath (shower). There is a toilet in the room. The room is not fancy but clean. Internet was working well. It is close to two subway stations (Honmachi and Awaza stations) and several bus stops. There is a public bath in the hotel. Men and women take turn to use it. It is a large bath room and reluxing. It is onsen (hotspring style). I recommend this hotel to budget travellers.
Below Japanese standard but you get what you pay for”
We were originally put into a small room where the showers and toilet were ‘one’. The smell from the toilet was soooo pungent from bleach and mildew it was horrendous. We couldn’t take any more of it and notified the staff to change us into a better room. We got moved (thank goodness) and it was better. Don’t expect the following- - keyless entry - you need to give them you house keys every time you leave. Note they are keys with a large key chain - don’t expect the standard Japanese bidets - don’t expect quiet - the walls are so thin. You can hear all your neighbours coming into or going from their rooms. We were close to the lifts so heard everything - the house cleaners were designated to serve your room up until 12. We had slept in on one of the days and they never came back (although they did leave some new towels hanging on our door knob). Also they were extremely loud in their conversation and activities whilst cleaning. It was different to expected etiquette - they have an Onsen downstairs which mainly catered to men (didn’t get to try as the hours for women was slim) - staff were nice enough - lastly there was draining pipes in the original room we were allocated which fed from upstairs to our shower area. It was bizarre. Avoid any rooms ending with 14 if you can as I suppose the set up will be similar. Overall it was a very bare minimum to get by hotel. The location was awesome - 2 min was train station and waking distance to key areas like shinsaibashi and dotonbori. If you are going on budget this place isn’t soo bad just try to avoid any rooms ending with 14. I hope this honest feedback would encourage the hotel to make better modification. For the potential hotel guests - you’ve been briefed.
Convenient n easy to locate ”
Typical jap hotel ,very small room but everything are neat n tidy. Staffs are nice. There are some resterants nearby n 24 hours convenient store. The metro station just one to two minutes walk distance but the station not those big station. So need to change line for the main sightseeing spot. But with reasonable price everything are satisfy
Nice little hotel with great location”
Room was small but clean, wired internet connection was fast. I had a single room but the bed was large by Japanese standards - would have slept 2 (non-large) adults comfortably. The hotel has no external signage, just a mat inside the door, so you need to know where it is (exit 1 of Azawa station, Chuo Line, cross the road, walk 10 seconds, look left). Staff are helpful but their English is limited. When I was there they had one staff from China so if you speak Mandarin that works too. I didn't use the public baths in the basement so can't comment on that.
Great location but small rooms”
This was not the first time i went to japan. i was impressed by their customer service that the front desk tried all their best to serve you. just a walking distance to the nearest train station however, the room is relatively small for asian people...overall it is still value for money..
Would give it a 1-2 star rating”
Although near Awaza subway, its a long walk from train exit to hotel entrance. (Exit no. 1 has no lift and require to climb stairs.) Hotel is old and has a smell, luckily there was a bottle of deodorant spray in the room. Toilet is old and stained. Onsen use is restricted to 2 hours for 2 sessions a day as it is rostered between men/women use. There are no eateries or shops nearby. Better to stay in a new capsule hotel.
good onsen ”
pro: good onsen. although it is a simple one but good for relaxing. staff can understand english. inexpensive breakfast. near to metro station. con: toilet is small. room is small, can't fit if you have two big luggage.
Hotel clean and correct.”
The room is small and the bed not confortable. But it's clean and the staff is helpful and friendly.
Really old hotel ”
Pro: Location, cheap Contra: very old hotel; two water outcome from the sink, one for hot and one for cold so if you want to use warm water you have 2 water jets and play a bit; no proper Japanese toilet; Spa is for women being used only 3 hours per day, all the other hours are for men
Room was VERY small and VERY smelly.”
The room size was a joke. You literally have to walk sideways when you want to stand up because the free space was so tiny. We requested for a non-smoking room but it was obvious from the moment we opened the door that is wasn’t. For one, there was an ashtray on the room and two, the stench of cigarettes was so strong. Come to think of it, the whole corridor smelled of cigarettes! We got there very late and so tired so we just crashed and left the window open the whole night.
Okay hotel - only one onsen”
This hotel is called an "onsen" hotel. It has a decent public bath area that is typical of Japanese onsens or sentos. Some rooms do not have a bath or shower so you are obliged to use the onsen for bathing. However (and I did not see this clearly on the Agoda booking site) they only have one onsen. They alternate times for men and women to use it. Women can only use it for a couple of hours in the evening (from 8:30 - 10:30 on weekends, from 9:30 - 10:30 on weekdays) and an hour and a half in the mornings (8:30 - 10:00). If you are traveling as a couple or women note that you cannot take a bath any time that you want and that the times are quite limited!
Highly recommended! Just a minute walk from Awaza Station Exit 1, Clean, Free Wi-Fi Service, free breakfast and pool bath in basement (separate time for men and women). Convenience stores all around the corner. From Awaza station, you can access entire Osaka to Kyoto either from JR Train or Subway train.
unexpectable advantage and more.”
I recommend you this Humor resort new oriental Hotel for busness trip or single trip and more. Although there is located in Awaza station, far from downtown such as Namba or Umeda etc, you can stay with comfotable space and reasonable price. morever there is a public thermae who can use for free. also if you get a breakfast in this hotel, you would enjoy morethan 20 foods as a vikings. I wish that you have a great experience in Osaka, Japan.
Good Location & value for money”
Our stay though brief was fine. We had a very late dinner but some restaurants were still available. It was only a few minutes from clothes & eletronic shopping. Rarely do I find Japanese hotels in Agoda with a good price yet offering free breakfast. This hotel had one
Good for price, nice experience”
I stayed there for 5 nights with my cousin, during one night there were some high pitched noises from the toilet, possibly the fan, making it impossible to sleep. We called front desk and they asked if we preferred to change rooms now or tomorrow. Since it was in the middle of the night we didn't want to pack everything and unpack again we said tomorrow, early next morning we asked for a room change and I couldn't understand why we couldn't get the room right away when we were offered a room last night, the staff said we had to leave our baggage at the lobby and check in again at 3 pm, which I was pretty unhappy about (due to lack of sleep as well), attempts to communicate was impossible as when I raised my concern the staff simply said "so change room or no change room." Other than that, I'm pretty happy with the accommodating staffs, and the hotel is really good for it's price and location (which when I thought of later, the earlier incident was no big deal, but I'd say if there's something wrong with the room, just ask for a room change right away no matter what time it is) The onsen experience was interesting as well, I'd encourage people to try it out.
Horrible, worse experience.”
Terrible Stay! Worse Experience EVER! I would not recommend and stay here ever again! I would not stay there again. Room was really dirty, bed has blood stains, and floor was really dirty. Wifi at lobby was horrible bad. Receptionist could not speak English at all. Furthermore, kept calling the room for no apparent reason, which annoyed us. Worse Experience EVER! I would not recommend and stay here ever again!
Affordable for solo travelers. Relaxing”
It was a bit hard to find the hotel, it was far from Kansai airport. But comfortable rooms, great breakfast is a plus in the morning. Close to subway so you can hop to anywhere in Osaka. Recommend if you are a solo or couple traveling, need a afforadable place for a few nights and are on a budget. Wifi is only located in the lobby area, and it isn't that great.
Small room a place to sleep and near metro station”
A really small room but it is acceptable for it price. Staff have limited ability in english. Free breakfast were quite nice, you can have a full stomach every morning before you go out. Location is near metro station Awaza , but awaza station is a few station away from main attractions such as Namba , shinsabashi station. One thing that happen duting my stay is that, the air conditioner is not working and I phone to front desk, the staff said it is changed to Warm mode centrally. that means no cooling mode and I think it is a idiot decision becasue japan should become warmer as time pass. The staff then offer to deliver a fan to us. But next day, the air-con is working in Cooling mode again. To conclude, a small budgeted hotel that worth its price. The coffee served during breakfast was quite nice.
A simple hotel, good enough for sleep”
Room was too small, can barely walk without bumping with each other,no space luggage. If you are a solo traveller, might as well take the twin room, you can use the other bed to put your stuff. Breakfast was simple, just good enough for you to get by. Staff does not really speak English. Plus point within 2 minutes to Awaza metro station.Didnt try the onsen.
