Agoda in the News hosts Khun Vachini's romantic Venetian getaway

Singapore (February 23, 2011), Asia’s global hotel booking site and part of Nasdaq-listed Inc., today released details of Khun Vachini's recent getaway at the Venetian Macao.

Last month, and the Venetian Macao hosted a fun-filled weekend break for Khun Vachini and her special someone, entrepreneur Chris Venvell. Staying at the landmark Venetian Macao, the couple spent their time luxuriating in the hotel's plush surrounds and enjoying the world-class entertainment the Venetian offers.

After checking into their Rialto Suite, the couple started off on a very Venetian note: with a gondola ride through the resort's canals, serenaded by their personal gondolier. The Venetian has three sets of canals – the San Luca, Marco Polo, and the Grand Canals – all winding through a faithful recreation of Italy's Venice, complete with small-scale St Mark's Square and ceiling fresco of blue skies.

The rest of the weekend, Khun Vachini and Mr. Venvell enjoyed fine dining in some of the Venetian's restaurants, Bamboo (Chinese), Porto Fino (Italian), and Samba (Brazilian), with time also devoted to browsing the resort's boutiques, including the Man U flagship store. A highlight of the trip was the must-see Zaia show by Cirque du Soleil. Via a captivating display of aerial acrobatics, dance and special effects, the show tracks a young girl's dream-like flight through space and time.
