nice quiet place ”
i really enjoyed this place ..and it was a cute kitchen with good service from all the staff. they really cared the needs and was ready to serve without expecting any tips...so that was so sweet of all the staff! i missed my credit card holder the security did all he can to check the cctv and helped me ..that was even greater than my stay there for 2 nights ..totally happy!
Bad WiFi connection but had a great stay”
Hotel looks good outside. Its very easy to find and the streets going there were well lit. In the lobby you will see that the building is old but it is well cleaned. Receptionist is professional and it only took about 5 mins before she gave the key to our room. The elevator is functional. We stayed in a deluxe room. Air-conditioning was on the side of the bed so the air was flowing directly on us. Its a little bit uncomfortable when you get out of the blanket. We only had 1 small bar soap as toiletries. The bathroom was clean. Hot and cold water was working very well. They have a shower curtain but they don't have a mat or rug inside the bathroom so you have to be careful when going out of the shower. Our accommodation had free breakfast and the food was delicious (we had beef tapa with fried rice). Biggest con with this hotel is that the WiFi connection sucks. I was not able to connect to their WiFi in the room or in the restaurant near the lobby. Aside from that, I had a great stay.
Neat and tidy”
I Booked this hotel for my fiance to stay so that she could get to the CFO (Commission for Filipinos Overseas) early. The hotel is located about 750 metres (walking distance) from the CFO, so quite convenient.
worst hotel i have ever been”
that was my worst experience, the staff was rude, the rooms was nothing like the photos, the Furniture was to old, half of the stuff that was written in the bottom wasn't true, for Ex, there was no night club, the Restaurant was too tiny. .at the end i don't Recommend it
great hotel friendly staff ”
great hotel i been phils 3 times now and stay there every time 7 11 two doors down light rail train one block away and robinson shopping mall one block staff always ready to help so you ur stay is hassle free i be back again
Sma;ll rooms but very clean”
being a visitor to your country i found that the staff in your hotel were your best asett. they were helpful, courteous and professional in all ways. nothing was too much trouble for them. they all seemed well trained and happy in their position and had the good of the hotel in their heart
wasnt happy with my room while staying their coz it was not what i xpected the roo,,coz what i saw in the internet it was nice ..then when i get there the accesories were old and i saw a mouse running my room...the room is pretty old and the prize range is not include the breakfast..cos when i stayed in pearl lane hotel the same prize but they have breakfast included and airport transfer.so i wasn't happy at all..location wise is really good and the staff very nice...
It was good than I expected”
the reason that I chose this hotel was cost performance. reasonable price!that's true. counter clerk and staffs of this hotel are so good. they welcomed me with big smile and spoke kindly. I'll book this hotel if I make a reservation next time.
OK budget hotel”
OK for those on a budget looking for a hotel in central Manila. Fairly close to Robinsons mall. Being small, the hotel does not seem to be well known to taxi drivers, had some difficulty getting back from other parts of the city - advise carrying a map. Rooms basic and needing renovation but adequate. Reasonable coffee shop - conveniently has wifi (but not in rooms). Would not rave about it but would use again.
DECENT PLACE TO STAY”
if your lookin for somewhere put ur bags down and relax in a place thats close to everything short walk to shopping centre and 7 11 doors down one block from light rail this is the place with a decent price i have been manila 2 times and stayed at solanie both times and would stay there again.
New Solanie is OK with me”
Overall, a positive experience. We did receive the value we paid for. Staff remembered us, so we felt safe and valued as customers. We were promised that the internet would be working in the morning, but was not able to get online while at the New Solanie Hotel. Area surrounding hotel not too rough. 24 hour convenience store in easy walking distance.
Solanie Hotel has a good quality services”
The hotel is very accessible to anywhere in Manila. The service was very good, the valet men downstairs are very active and alert in helping us every time we go home to the hotel with our van. The staffs and employees are very friendly. Nice foods and the Internet wifi is very fast and accurate. And what I love most is during the night when we go downstairs to drink something in the jazz cafe the cafe shop and bar are very entertaining to the customers. The entertainers are excellent! Very enjoyable experience!
best place to stay”
For me it is the best place to stay. It is near the business center. The hotel staff and management rendered us a very good service. The hotel room is very clean. The price is not expensive, it is very affordable.
New Solanie Hotel Aug 08”
The service was excellent. The staff did their utmost to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Because we like a room with a view I had to upgrade but the small extra expense was well worth it. The 24hr rooms service was a pleasant surprise as we were jet-lagged and had a 3am breakfast. The food was good and they accommodated both Philippine and American tastes. Considering the price of the stay, the accomidations are very acceptable.
Basic, clean and close to everything”
The lobby of the hotel is a 2 floor walkup which is a little inconvenient . The rooms were basic, functional and clean
my short sojourn.”
More improvements needed”
My stay in this hotel is quite satisfying though I can say that this place needs a lot of improvements to do.first, the curtains.i suggest to change it to block-out ones since the sun outside is so glaring waking us up too early even though we wanted to rest more.guests can't make outside calls.the room i've paid for can accommodate 3 adults yet you ask me that only 2 adults can stay and i needed to pay another 800 php for the extra person.i can't understand the logic of one queen size bed and 1 single bed inside the room and only 2 adults can only be accommodated. Lastly, may i suggest that you add more choices to your breakfast menu so guests can have a variety to choose from.
i thought the hotel is new( "new solanie").the room rate is too high for old rooms like those, because before checking in in that hotel ive been to a well known hotel along roxas blvd, cor UN ave and its much cheaper and the room was really good and fully furnished, with safety deposiit box inside the room and equiped with automated card key. at first night in solanie, hot and cold shower is not working and i really felt uncomfortable with the first room where we stayed so i requested for room transfer since the shower is not working. yeah theyre trying to fix it but the thing is we were supposed to relax and rest in that place and not wait things get fixed. but anyway they transferred us to another room, unfortunately on side street, it was noisy esp early morning when the garbage truck passes by the hotel with a loud and long blowing of horn.... good points: good staffs
the location was great since its just walking distance from the building we were processing something.. but we stayed there for a night only coz the room is kinda old and need some renovations coz the room smells dusty.. but the food s great..
i found the transaction over the counter a bit dragging. I noticed that the receptionist had discussed with the room personnel about my room assignment. It seems that they were not so prepared with the transactions I made earlier and with the preparations accordingly. I was requested to make a cash deposit which gave me a little discomfort because I normally make transactions through credit cards. despite these petty things, I found my stay comfortable because of the serene environment and well ordered room accommodation. I also enjoyed the prompt services of the cafeteria.
