Nice atmosphere but the water on the beach full with rocks”
+ : The hotel is pretty clean and quiet well maintained. Has Private small beach so not too many people around. Many shades from the trees make it even better. The food is okay but not special. Friendly staffs. And i had an awesome 90 minutes body massage. - : The water on the beach full with rocks and corals. Good for snorkeling but not for swimming. Can’t even walk on the water. Not suitable for little kids that like to playing on the water on the beach. - Should put some sign for the name of the food on Breakfast buffet table as not all people can eat some specific food.
Seclude place to stay”
If you want to spend your private time, this resort is quite seclude. Though, there are a few tourists visit but they do not stay here for long. The beach is as where it is located "Coral Bay" no sandy beach to stroll. But you can enjoy the snorkeling to see corals and fishes around the bay. Make sure you wear diving shoes. I like the hammocks under the trees, it is sanctuary. Though, I do not like the bed and mattress. I have to give extra points for the staffs' service mind. They all are friendly, kind and helpful. Foods here are slow. You'd better manage your time to order before the dinner time. There are some water sports equipments for renta/selll, and they are in good condition; kayak, life jacket, snorkel masks, beach balls. If you like to party, this is not your place as it is far from other party beaches and riding the motorbike at night is very dark.
Fantastic gettaway on Koh Samet”
If you like party and crowds this is not the place you like to be. But if you want to spend some relaxing peaceful days at the beach this is one of the best choices on Koh Samet. Food is great: plenty of choices on the menu and all taste very good. The resort is the only one at the small beach. There's quite ok snorkeling in the bay and staff is very friendly and helpful. very good Thai massage is available at reasonable price.
Ok but completely overpriced”
In fact nothing wrong with it and nice secluded location. But quite outdated and not the experience you would expect at this price tag. 60-70 eur per night would be more reasonable than the 135 euro we had to pay...
Pleasant stay for relaxing”
We were quite surprised on arrival, because the hotel was located in the other end of the island - keep that in mind, it means theres quite a distance to the nearest activity. We recommend you rent a scooter for your stay here. + The atmosphere is quite charming, if you want to just relax + private beach with hammocks on the trees and the trees provide a nice shade from the burning sun + Fantastic view (for pictures) right at the hotel - The cleaning in the bungalows could be done better - No internet in the rooms/bungalows (depends if you need it, cause the hotels wifi signal is strong if you just go out to the public areas)
Great place to relax ”
We wanted to get way to a more private resort and away from the noise and crowded beaches. This place is laid back and very pleasing to the eye with its layout of trees, pretty flowers etc. The beach is small but ample and suits this place with its nice views and warm ocean. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The food in the only restaurant for lunch and dinner was good and the breakfast was OK. We really enjoyed our stay in a Deluxe cottage with views over the gardens and ocean
Beautiful hideaway on Koh Samet”
The best feature of this hotel is also (potentially at least) its biggest drawback. The resort is situated on the very southern tip of Koh Samet island and is about 40 minutes drive from the main resort town of Ha Sai Kaew. It's very beautiful and has arguably the best beach on the island. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, then I don't think you could find better. However, if you're looking for nightlife and restaurants, then you have to travel. Both myself and my wife enjoyed our stay, and would certainly go back if we were looking to unwind for a few days, but I don't think we'd stay again as long as we did. Given that the place is so isolated, I think the hotel could do a bit more with the restaurant. The food is ok, and some of the dishes ae very good, but it's not one of the stand out features and has attracted some very negative comments from some of the other reviewers. One last point is the price of taxi's on the island, the fare from the Nimanoradee to Ha Sai Kaew is 600THB, which is expensive for Thailand. So although I'd recommend the hotel, make sure you know what you're getting before you book to avoid being disappointed.
Best coice for quiet zone & free breeze. ”
The most i love is everything they sell in this hotel was good price ! They didn’t charge you that much. So acceaptable i can enjoy food and drink more. Because this place is the last one on the south so nothing sell near by. The staff really nice and helpfull. I’ll be back for sure.
In Ban Phe take a ferry and buy a return ticket, then at Samet take a taxi to get to the hotel which is located right at the beach. If you want to get around rent a motorbike because there is not much to do apart for sun bathing, fooling in the sea or you can rent a kayak or do some snorkeling.
Best location in Koh samet”
Wonderful beach. Peace and quiet swimming, views, diving For some the isolation of the beach might be disadvantege, but this is an important part of its charm. The restaurant is ok, and few minor things can be improved (the stream in the shower, the snorkeling gear), but still - great place to relax and enjoy an island atmosphere
Our family group had a nice and relaxing 2 days at Nimmanoradee Resort. The staff were excellent and very attentive with the needs of our party. The food although slightly expensive for some items, was nice and tasty and there were options available for cheaper food if required. 4 members of our party had a massage whilst we stayed at the resort and all of us enjoyed the experience. I would recommend this resort to someone who wishes to escape for a quiet few days.
Quiet Hideaway ”
The best hotel I ever been in my life. Kept up to the best standard. The location is far from other noisy beaches. Place is secluded and peaceful. The beach has natural shade of the trees which was the key for us. People reading books and chilling by the beach the whole day. Ideal for couples and families. The staff was very helpful and more than that. My almost 70 old mom got the best treatment we good expect. She has health condition and can't eat spicy or rough food. Our request very always accommodated and the staff even changed the Breakfast menu in accordance. Excellent service! The hotel staff even made a free Kratong for me for Loi Kratong celebration. The only thing is that the rooms with Twin beds are not listed on agoda.com. If you don't want to sleep with your companion, you need to book bungalow for 4 adults. Beach is sandy, water is shallow enough for kids. Low tide in the evening and high water in the morning. I swam like crazy all day through. During free diving saw a lot of fish and other sea life.
An average establishment on Samed”
As everything on Samed this is an overpriced resort with poor service only relying on the beach attraction and vicinity to Bangkok. Rooms are old and the bedding is torn. Breakfast is the Thai standard, hot dogs, eggs and fried rice. The restaurant is pricy as well. Main dishes start at THB 200. It is located on a beautiful beach with trees providing shadow. Even though the beach is the only reason they make money, they have a pile of old materials, plastic boats and other waste just lying at one corner of the beach. Also the back of the resort (coming from the main road) is full of trash - but that goes for the whole island. Not sure why we pay the entrance to the National park if the park is filled with trash.
Relax and chill”
There will be no phone signal to bother your vacation. The place is nice and quiet. The room and the bathroom are perfectly clean. But no A/C so you'd better check the weather before going. The staffs are nice. Perfect for chillaxing.
Quiet yet awesome Resort”
Booked 3 Deluxe Seafront Cottages for 3 families (7 of us) at Nimmanoradee Resort, Ao Pakarang Samet Island which is located in the Southern tip of the island. It is quite far from the Samet Island jetty in the northern part of the island, about 35-40 minutes ride by Song-thaew( local pickup bus) to Ao Pakarang at the Southern tip. It cost 70 baht per pax or 600 Baht to charter the whole Song-thaew, which is able to accommodate up to 10 pax. On arriving at the Jetty, one has to pay Jetty fee of 20 baht per pax, and on entering the island an additional payment of 40 Baht per person for National forest conservation fee. You also have the option to take the hotel ferry which takes you from Ban-Phe ferry terminal in Rayong right to the Nimmanoradee Resort costing 120 Baht per pax. thereby saving time and saving jetty fee. The Octagon shape Deluxe Cottage are spacious, modern and beds and furnishings are comfortable. Surrounding are well landscape with plenty of trees, plants and flowers. Lots of birds around and salamander and small animals can be seen around the cottages. Swings and easy chairs are provided for guest use near the beach. For a small fee, the Resort provides Canoing and snorkeling activities. Buffet Breakfast is included. It is good for families and couples who wants to relax away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Located away from Sai Kaew Beaches where the main sea sports activities, bars and seafood restaurants are located. The only setback is the Resort beaches are not ideal for swimming. Lots of rocks, mud and broken corals at the beach.
Remote and quiet, but basic and not easy to swim”
Nice resort, remote and quiet. Bungalow is big enough and quite comfortable. However, we found the service so-so, some hair in our eggs, very basic bfast, and although the beach is very nice, there are a lot of rocks underwater that makes swimming difficult of even risky.
Highly recommend staying here.”
We had a wonderful stay and had wonderful food! All the staff were really friendly and helpful. The only negative thing I would say is the service is very slow. I wasn't in a rush so not a massive problem. The accommodation was lovely and the bed was really comfortable.
Excellent Location for relaxing”
Hotel : We were looking for a place to relax over the weekend and this was it. We were guided well by a English speaking lady over phone, it wasnt difficult reaching the resort. We had booked a garden view resort and the room was quite clean. There are a lot of trees around the resort and ample space for young children to play . We were happy to see our 5 yr old occupied most of the time in the surroundings while we relaxed in the swings tied to the trees or on the beach. There are provisions for activities like snorkelling and kayaking. The FOOD at the resort restaurant was good ( vegetarian ). The BEACH is quite small . The resort is quite far away from the pier/city center . This didnt matter much to us as we had no plans to travel around the island. We payed 500 baht for the taxi ( 2 adults and 1 kid) to get to the resort from the pier. While departing,we payed 100 baht/adult in the songthaew to reach the pier. There are motorbikes available for rent to travel around the island.Overall it was a pleasant stay at the resort.
Just relax at beach side”
Awesome. Impressive. Quiet, beautiful beach side... really tasty thai local food & watermelon smoothie at hotel's restaurant. We went 'islands hopping' tour and swam using a snorkel in front of the hotel. We booked the local boat when booking the hotel. It took about 3 hrs 30 mins by bus from Bangkok Ekamai Bus terminal to Ban phe Bus terminal. There were a lot of pier at Ban phe, and we lost the way. Anyway, we were late and missed the local boat, but the staff was very kind and helpful. We got on the 'white shark' for 400B per person from main pier. We didn't change the money at Bangkok, and the hotel has no exchange service. We used credit card. We really enjoyed and relaxed. I wanna go there again!
Very quite place. ”
The resort is located in the total South part of Koh Samet. It is a very quite place with no other restaurant than the restaurant from the resort. The environment is really nice: clean water, close to the sun set, etc. The food at the restaurant is OK, not super great, but not bad either.
