Lounge service was great. They greeted me by name, even suggested honey for my bad throat and cough. But hotel needs some modern revamp. No bedside in-plugs for charging. Bathroom towels had a faint cigarette smell. A/C is Central and can't be controlled.

Yes, it's a few kilometres away from the old quarter and Hoan Kiem lake but it's certainly made up for by the excellent service and overall ambience of the hotel, While not the most modern given it's age, the club room we had was spacious, clean and comfortable. All amenities you would require are well provided for and the club lounge staff are very helpful. Breakfast in the hotel offers a large buffet spread and the quality is reasonably good. Gym is sufficiently equipped and open 24 hrs while steam and sauna rooms are clean and well maintained. It is crowded in the morning as I guess the hotel offers memberships as well. There is an indoor lap pool which caters more for adults than young children. Overall our stay was very enjoyable thanks to the warmth of the staff which made our visit during the TET holidays memorable.
I recommend this hotel who want to trevel in Hanoi The hotel was super clean and staff was so nice :) But, there are no good restaurant around the hotel. If you want to eat out, you can go to west lake

Great hotel and staff right by the lake fantastic views, rooftop restaurant and bar, 2 other restaurants and a coffee shop. Only downside is the neighborhood has little to offer within walking distance but a short cab ride to great sights and shopping/restaurants.

Hotel location is not at downtown of the city but close to the famous lake and temple. All the room and facilities is fine as a 5 star hotel. The only matter was concierge provided inaccurate information about things around hotel to us but we consider it's still acceptable. It takes around 15 mins, 65 VND, when you call Grab Taxi from hotel to Old Quarter. Do not forget to try rooftop bar of the hotel, it's one of the most famous rooftop in Hanoi due to it beautiful lake view!

I called the hotel to check about confusing charge on my credit card after check out. First staff had no clue. Second staff was front office supervisor also had to check and said will call me back. Guess what, he never did. I have to called them back 3 times until I get a simple answer. And they said my name wrong even though I give it to them each time I called, mind you it a Vietnamese name, not some rocket science object. When you work in hospitality, details DO matter. I’ved stayed at this hotel a few times, recommended it for others when they go on business trip in HN as well. Guess this would be the last time I speak of it. Service level is unacceptable for an international 5* hotel.

We always experience excellent service and facilities at this hotel and choose it for our 'staycation' every year during the New Year. We were impressed by the exit discussion on checkout at the lounge, which led to an opportunity to make some small suggestions to the staff related to the layout of the rooms. Ms. Hieu and Ms. Khuyen were open and interested in our ideas. They were only two of a fine staff team that went out of their way to make our stay special and smooth. We love the indoor pool in the winter and the lake view in place of our ususal home view of cement buildings all around us. This is a perfect getaway venue for us, as it has been for more than 20 years.

Service consistency is how Pan Pacific Hanoi is still the best hotel in Vietnam to me. The friendliness of the staff, their english ability and command of the language, the finer points of hospitality. They still have it. Nice ambience & great service but Hotel staff had difficulty to understand English”
The hote was ok but 1 thing I do not like is the hotel charged us the security deposit and held until now is still not yet release to me. I have settled all the bills before leaving the hotel and prepaid Agoda before check in. I have returned to KL on 25th Dec 2018 until today the Vietnamese Dong 8,000,000.00 is still held by Pan Pacific Hanoi. I have never owe the hotel money and why should the hotel held the security deposit for so many days? This is unfair to the hotel guest. Kindly get the hotel refund me my money. Thank you.

We loved our staying, the room was exactly as presented on the website, big and quiet, staff was lovely, breakfast amazing. It's not in the center but we liked it not to be in the crowd and it takes 7 minutes to the old quarter by taxi. Definitely worth the value.

The hotel really surprised me. Especially from the quality of literally all the staff there. Someone there is doing some very good training and customer focused management. Don't be fooled by the relatively old exterior (Pan Pacific has been around a long time). If you like a classic hotel with large welcoming lobby and clean facilities and excellent service, this hotel did the trick.

Nice hotel, good facilities”
The hotel is pretty nice, staff are accommodating, and the rooms are clean and well kept. The rooms with a lake view have a really nice view. There is a rooftop bar which also has a great view. Didn't use the pool but it looked fine. It's enclosed. The location is a bit out of the city center but not that far. Feels more relaxed away from the noise of the old town. My only complaint is that the beds were too hard. They had a pretty decent mattress topper on top of a hard bed, so it didn't do much to make the beds more comfortable.

Booked months in advance. Despite this was given a smoking room on a smoking floor. Ordered a well done steak via room service. Received rare. Phoned back and was told it would be fixed immediately. No one returned to the room. Next day during checkout I mentioned the room service. Was given 50% off the meal I never ate. Expected better. Will not return.

Location is good and just 10 min taxi/uber from old quarter (around usd $1-2) for each ride. Very new and clean hotel overseeing the west lake. Great breakfast with both Japanese and western food available. The bar on the top floor has a very nice view. The staff are very polite and friendly. However, more training for staff would be better as it is quite difficult to communicate with them. I requested for extra towels at 11:30pm but the towels did not come; to my surprise, the staff rang my bell at 6:15am the next morning to give me the towels while I was still sleeping. The design of the bath tub is defective; the sliding door only closes half way so it is easy to splash water and there is a leakage of the bath tub. It is also strange that their housekeeping enters your room more than once a day. We noticed that they cleaned our room in the morning but came in the afternoon again as certain stuff in our room were moved. This made me feel insecure. Overall great stay though
