Nice hotel, pleasant staff”
Got to hotel before check in time. The hotel receptionist told me that the room type I had booked was full so they had upgraded me to a suite. The room was pleasant with a small kitchen area. The bathroom had a separate walk in shower and bath. The bed was firm but comfortable. I would stay in this hotel again and would recommend it to others
Stayed a few days for business. Staff was very nice & room was clean and well kept.
Pros:- Location, free Tuk Tuk to BTS overhead railway station, Spacious room, 24hr entry Cons:- Overpriced for what you get, Towels frayed around the edges (a very 1st world problem, I know), Weak wi-fi in room- have to sit near door for continuous connectivity, £40 per night and still no breakfast! This place is great if you need to arrange a satisfactory quality hotel, before booking cheaper ones closer to Sukhumvit Road. Clean, I didn't see a single bug (VERY good for me), everything worked in the room but a little dated now. Staff very friendly and helpful, free tuk tuk on the hour and half-hour, impressive size hotel. I'd stay again, but there are cheaper, better quality rooms out there, closer to the main road.
Great location if you are looking for quiet but not too far from the shopping and Bangkok’ nightlife. Staff was wonderful and very friendly. The suites are very large rooms and recommended. Decent fitness room. Breakfast was good as well. It is an older property, but very nice for the price.
Excellent service, staff, surroundings and I even got an upgrade to a beautiful suite, thanks! ”
It was a great trip thanks to the reception staff, the hotel staff and the beautiful hotel. I was upgraded in arrival which was a beautiful surprise on New Year's Eve so thank you every much for taking such good care of a sold Traveller :)
I booked a suite since the price differential was so small. It was well worth it. I had a living room, kitchenette, a big bathroom with both a tub and a separate shower, and a separate, large bedroom. It was one of the few hotels I've stayed at that I actually felt like hanging out in the room to read when not doing anything else around town. The hotel is a bit off Sukhumvit, I walked the roughly half mile to the BTS although they have a shuttle every half hour. The included breakfast was ok, but didn't change the whole stay, and there weren't a lot of alternatives to pick from.
Worst hotel we ever checked ”
We, family with young children booked for 6 nights in this hotel for Deluxe suite room type, we arrived in the middle of the night around 3am. Mid night staff were so snob, unfriendly, non cooperative and speak/understand very little English. They gave us the room, we just sat and tried to relax from long tiring flight, I opened a door thinking its balcony, door with no lock on it, just pushed and realise someone is sleeping with their belongings, this was a interconnected room door WITHOUT ANY LOCKS. What the hell?! Seriously how are we supposed to sleep in there with young kids which has access to other strangers room without a door lock? We went to reception and complained about the unlocked connecting room, very non cooperative staff murmured (looked angry, maybe scolding us in Thai language) at us a lot all the way to room and was trying to tell us not to open the door. What the hell? A door which has no locks can be opened from either side of the room, how can you share a room with stranger? A creepy second doorway to another room. No way staying there. They gave us another room I assume it's manager based on his uniform quality, he speak no much English either. We couldn't stay there any longer, we felt creeped out and uncomfortable. We called agoda to cancel our booking and we checked out at 5am those 2 hours were horrible with kids crying to get some sleep and hotel staff's blah blah. Their "hotel policy" still asked from agoda to charge us one night stay. Remaining got refunded by agoda (of course usual customer care hassle was there.. 2 lazy ladies didn't help much, finally a gentleman from customer care processed our cancellation and processed the refund, yes 3 charged phone calls, every call about 10 to 15 minutes) I WILL NOT RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone. This hotel is creepy, haunted, unfriendly.
Old but clean”
The hotel is relatively old (it appears so) but is well maintained by its cheerful staff. The staff are very helpful. Breakfast was good with a reasonable selection. The bed in the room was medium softness. This hotel has two buildings, one on each side of the street, which can be a bit confusing. Overall a good value hotel.
Photo look a lot better than real”
One of my member had her room key reseted nightly and when she ask about it at the counter, she was scolded, she was told to go to family mart to buy water if she want waters. Her room was not updated with new water on a daily basis.
Reasonable Hotel in Central Location”
My three older children and I stayed here over the Christmas break. My wife and I stayed in one room, and my three "kids" (two being over 20) stayed in another room - they are all very close, so sharing was not an issue. We were "upgraded" to rooms in the main tower, which I believe has larger rooms than the smaller, low rise block across the street. The bedrooms we had were reasonably large, and the bathrooms were enormous - in fact they could have been reduced by 30% and they would still be large. Cleanliness was OK. We did not try the breakfast at the hotel, but opted to buy meals outside, although there is a Family Mart right next to the main entrance. Car parking is provided free, and the spaces are standard sized, but the access and egress ramps are extremely tight - I have a Toyota Fortuna, and I had to be very careful negotiating the spiral ramps up or down, as the clearance was only a few inches either way. I guess most people will not be driving anyway, so not an issue.
Good location in the middle of sukumvit area. But there are old building and new building so a bit difficult as if we check in wrong building mean we need to cross the street to another building. The staff was nice. The room was clean.
Hotel is getting old and the new management wasnt to the standard. Before it was okay to check in early by 10 am for free, but not now they charged me 1,000/ baht for early check in though many rooms were empty. When I spoke to the receptionist she told me this is the new rules because of the new management. When I returned back to Bangkok went to stay in Davis just beside the President Park hotel and was given the room immediately at 11am when we arrived.
Good service ”
Thank you Mr. Best.
Decent hotel but no pool for a few months”
Have stayed here before and whist it is showing it's age, we booked a suite in the main block which was massive and good value for money. BUT when I asked about the pool, I was advised that it was under reconstruction and would be for a few months which was annoying as I intended to use it. However, staff were friendly and rooms clean and comfy bed and decent breakfast buffet and handy for big c supermarket and shopping if not too near sukhimvit road. Decent wi fi but if pool open would go again
Great facilities with moderate location”
The facilities include microwave oven which is very useful. The swimming pool was under maintenance. The location is a bit far from from the happening area (Soi 11) but there's a hotel shuttle to the mrt on a regular i terval. Stayed for the 2nd time and would definitely stay again.
Improvement to the proximity to the BTS from hotel”
There should be more frequent transportation to and fro the BTS from the hotel. The distance of BTS from the hotel is really quite a distance and it will be worse if it is raining. There should be a schedule in picking customer from the BTS throughout the day or at least up to BTS ending hour. Half an hour interval is good enough.
Mystery Booking in Bangkok”
This was a last minute booking and I thought it would be closer to Sukhumvit Road than it was. It was not particularly easy for the taxi driver to find and at a mystery price was fair value. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful giving me a late check out and helping getting washing dry. There are no restaurants in the immediate vicinity but some maybe 10 minutes walk away. There is a small supermarket within the building.
Good location close to emporium ”
The location is good, there is a shuttle that takes you to emporium and the skytrain station. The rooms are in need of total refurbishment and the location of the breakfast buffet is rather odd being on the sixth floor of the main building
All above average”
Fast check in. Early check in was allowed at no extra cost. Staff is professional and nice. Do take note that the hotel has 2 building, and they are next to each other. There is a convenience stall (Family Mart) on the ground floor of the main building. This hotel is located deep in the Soi (Lane). Taxis and taxi-motorcycle are available around the clock. Entrance of this soi has a well-known shop, Naraya. BTS is nearby. Emporium, Terminal 21 is nearby. Location is good but the traffic there is very very congested. If you are taking the BTS, this shouldn't pose any problem to you. By BTS, it only take you a couple of mins to Siam, MBK. The hotel is clean , no insects, no cockroaches. Buffet breakfast was descent and a good point is the breakfast is available very early in the morning. A deposit is needed upon check in. The stay is smooth.
Booked online at last minute and got a reasonable price. Price did not include all taxes so an extra 20% added on when charging card; it is very disappointing that Agoda uses the lower price to attract clients and then taxes are added after. On check in they told me I had to stay in the facility across the road because I had book the special offer rate; again this was not made clear when booking. Breakfast was in the main hotel and was quite simply the worst hotel breakfast I've ever had. Run down and scruffy room with old and damaged table cloths and place mats. Food and coffee was lukewarm, poor quality and very little choice. Staff were professional and helpful but the hotel is somewhere I would not choose again.
