On the beach”
Lovely people on reception other staff not so happy Room - smaller than photos show Shower was poor, jacuzzi waist of time Air conditioning on cold only could only control off, slow, fast no temp setting Location was brilliant and the pool is as good as the photos
Cons - Lamai beach is not for snorkling unlike the available online information for its clear water quality. (It is a personal con as we picked this location due to the wrong online information. Pros - Views, atmonsphere, and staff are famtastic!
Absolutely beautiful place”
I stayed in Samui for 1 week. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are warm and welcoming. I had a deluxe sea view, my room was stunning. Lots of little touches such as the beach kaftan, and bags that you can use during your stay. On my first day I put some laundry in expecting it would take 24hrs, it was done by 1pm. I hired a car through the hotel which was so simple and easy. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff all of them were wonderful. The beach is great and I’m so glad I chose to stay at the Jasmine. I will definitely be back! 😘
My first draft apparently hit the word limit, but in short: this hotel is GOOD: Location: By the beach, with private access. And walkable to all sorts of shops and the night market. Room: Clean, and fresh. Very thoughtful - beach towels provided in a convenient straw tote. Wifi: provided in room, and all over hotel. Mostly capable, though room can be flakey at times. Restaurant: Food tend to be comparatively pricier here, but it's tasty and service is good. Alcohol was watered down, but the breakfast buffet is to die for: good spread, and over 3 days, there was always something different. Staff: thoughtful and attentive. Room was cleared within one hour when I went out for lunch. Bathroom: Based on the the time spent inside, it should be a tourist attraction.
Excellent service from the staff. Facilities were wonderful. Nice pool. AWESOME breakfast buffet. Beach chairs provided for guests only. Good food and cocktails. My parents (mid 60's) loved it. Only small complaints - 1. the bathroom is a stupid design with the entire wall sliding instead of just a door. 2. Smoking guests by the pool/beach have no regard for non-smokers (but that's not the resort's fault). 3. The live music at night was very good, but the song selection could be a bit more upbeat - too many moody/sad tunes that you don't want to hear on holiday.
This hotel is brilliant we have stayed there many times and they have even improved it over the years. It is so relaxing and the staff so friendly we can highly recommend it. The location and infinity pool really make it perfect.
Nice Stay at the Samui Jasmine Resort”
I reserved a Deluxe Building Sea View room 9 month ahead of time on agoda.com, for 3 nights in June. I paid $146/nigh and $98.85 for an extra bed for our 14 year old daughter. Free Wifi and breakfast is included. From the Samui Airport, it cost 800 THB for a private taxi to get to the hotel. It takes about 25 minutes to get to the hotel, and we arrive around 2:50pm. We are greeted by Ann, and we are welcomed with 3 delicious glasses of bael fruit juice and 3 cold towelettes. Our luggage is taken to our room, and Ann walks us up to the top floor (3rd) to Room 2306. And the room has swan-shaped towels and fresh flowers on the bed, along with a Happy Anniversary cake! The room is beautiful and has a patio looking out to the ocean. The bathroom has remote-controlled shades that go up and down for privacy. There's also a citronella plug to use to avoid mosquitoes. We had no problems with mosquitoes. The hotel grounds are beautiful with fresh flowers all around, and a bowl of tropical fruit in the lobby. We walk to the back of the hotel and there's a nice pool with lounge chairs around. There's also the Jasmine Rice Restaurant, where we have breakfast every morning. There are umbrellas and lounge chairs for hotel guests to use on the beach. The morning breakfasts were wonderful, with fresh fruit, salads, breads, pastries, yogurts, an egg station, juices, a hot food section for bacon, sausage, fried rice, fish, baked beans, spinach with cheese, pumpkin cream soup. I loved the egg station that can make your custom omelettes and scrambles. The free wifi is pretty good in your hotel room and even in the restaurant/pool area. It's not as consistent in the beach area of the hotel. If you need to print anything, it costs 20 BHT per page. We got 3 free bottles of water daily, but we accidentally used the wrong bottle in the refrigerator and had to pay for it. We got 3 yellow beach towels replenished daily, and they provided a beach bag to put them in. There were also 3 bath ro
We spent 7 nights at the Jasmine and we have absolutly no complaints to report. The service was always very friendly, well organized and also the food was very tasty. Our room was spacious and clean with nice view.
Excellent service in this compact resort hotel”
Most guests at that time were couples, and some with young children. I was very glad about this. As a solo traveler, I was glad to be amongst couples and not bothered by other people. As it was not the peak season, the beach was wonderfully quiet, except for the occasional hawker persistently selling their wares. The hotel food was fresh and seemed satisfactory...except the Thai food was a little too bland, lacking in Thai spices and herbs, due perhaps to their largely foreign clientele. The toilets and massage area near the pool seem to need some refurbishing to match the good, clean standard of the rest of the resort.
A wonderful stay, great location”
My wife and I did a lot of research about Samui, including all of the different areas and the different hotels. We chose Lamai Beach because we thought it would be quieter than Chaweng up north and we were VERY pleased. Samui Jasmine is an ideal place to stay for a multitude of reasons: Pros: - The staff. They are friendly, outgoing, and very professional. The housekeepers are like ninjas! We would step out to have a quick breakfast (maybe 20-30 minutes) and the room was completely made up by the time we returned. - Location: truly AMAZING. I worried that Lamai would be a bit *too* quiet, but it was ideal from our perspective and Samui Jasmine is in the absolutely best location for beach access and for local shopping and strolling. We were here in the VERY low season of late June and every other hotel seemed completely dead. Samui Jasmine always had customers without feeling overwhelming and obnoxious.
Nice rooms, too many smokers in hotel, run down town”
The hotel is cramped in a run down town. The rooms are nice and the staff try their best, however our room was right next to a chain smoker and as a result, we couldn't enjoy our oceanview deck. His cigarette smoke also infiltrated our room even with the doors closed. The breakfast buffet was good and the drinks were nice. Walking through the town was not enjoyable as the street smelled off and cheap tourist shops predominated.
Beautiful resort in Samui!”
We stayed 3 gorgeous days at this beautiful place. Itnwas prefect! Located in Lamai, it is a nice and quiet area of Samui. The beach is Beautiful, you can get skis right there. It's close by all the restaurants, shops and massage places. The hotel breakfast is really yummy. The staff is outstanding. The room is super clean. We had 0 mosquitos compared to the other hotels we stayed at. That was a huge +! The staff is very accommodating and very professional!! I will stay again again and again!! Thank you Jasmin Resort!
Beautiful resort; friendly staff; fantastic breakfast buffet; right on the beach!”
The staff at Samui Jasmine were incredibly accommodating in so many ways. Always helpful with our 3 young children, working out internet connectivity issues, providing extra blankets, you name it. Wonderful and so friendly. They even brought a wireless router into our room to help with connectivity so we could communicate with family. The breakfast buffet was terrific and there were new, different items every day. They provided movies for the kids. Free fruit baskets in the lobby every day. A truly relaxing Thai experience with great hospitality.
Stayed here one night before returning to Bangkok as a special treat. GORGEOUS resort, attentive staff, beautiful villa room. The nicest we stayed in. Lovely boutique hotel setting with beautiful gardens, great pool, large inclusive restaurant on the beach. Pros: décor, bed comfort, aesthetic, attentive staff, pool, small size resort Cons: bathroom could use a deep clean of mold, pool bar is great but the music selection was terrible and ultimately drove us away. Signs at pool instruct guests not to save chairs with towels but this rule isn't applied to the day beds/cushioned chairs on the beach so guests "save" them all day but don't use them. Not the end of the world but annoying. Massage on the beach at hotel wasn't worth the upcharge.
Nice little boutique hotel right on the beach”
Stayed in the deluxe building seaview room with my wife and toddler. Room decor was really nice, clean but a little on the small side. The seaview wasn't great as we were on the 2nd floor. The location is good - nearby shopping and restaurants. Breakfast is excellent and overlooks the beach and is next to the pool - really nice area. Generally a very nice hotel but I would rather pay a little more for a 5 star.
Will come back again!”
Great location (when you walk out the front, you can find many bars, restaurants, money changers, ATM), and when you walk out the back, you are straight at the beach, complete with beachbeds that are only for hotel guests. Room is cleaned everyday, and very spacious. Balcony faces the sea. Will definitely stay here again if we decide to stay in Lamai beach.
The hotel location was excellent, right on the beach with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The staff were amazing and incredibly friendly and helpful. The massage facilities were great and the price really good, similar to that in the town. Breakfast choice was really good and the restaurant served excellent food. The bar right on the beach was graet and served great cocktails. The room was a good size and the bed very comfortable. The only negative point was the bathroom- the shower was not so good as the water pressure very poor and had to stand against the wall to get the water to hit you. The bath was a jacuzzi bath but if you wanted to sue it you would have to wait an hour to fill it up. For this reasson I would not agree with the score of 9.0 and I would say 8.3.
Good value for the price”
+ good located hotel in Lamai. Clean beach, entertainment and beach dinner. We were on our honeymoon trip and they surprise us with decoration and a cake. - clients are reserving with towels the seats at the beach early on the morning. Service staff don't speak good English but they are very friendly. Rooms are not luxury.
THE BEST HOLIDAY OF MY LIFE”
The best holiday of my life We are a family from Romania, I, my wife Luciana and two boys (14 and 16) Radu and Bogdan. I booked two luxury villas with jacuzzi for two weeks. From warm welcome at the airport, the reception to the villas it was a paradise. Nothing compares with European countries From the people who dealt daily with lush gardens, the people at the reception, flocks making up those rooms daily, people in the restaurant to the hotel manager behaved extraordinarily !!! Thanks very much to the people at the reception and restaurant for celebrating birthdays of my two boys My wife Luciana we enjoyed everything from street food to the warm waters of the Gulf of Thailand Ko Samui Paradise is at Jasmine Resort Ko Samui Thank you, Thank you Jasmine Resort Cornel Saplacan PS We decided to go back next year in February
Good for a splurge”
Location, staff, cocktails, rooms all great. Transport, massage and food overpriced. Wifi is ok but quite annoying. Have to resign in every time on every device. For the 3000 baht range this is a great choice.
