The room is small, but it is ok since we are looking for the most cheap accommodation in Singapore. However, location wise is great. Only 600m from Bugis Village and lot of halal restaurants nearby the hotel.
Highly recommend ”
During my stayed in singapore, i have choosen sandpiper hotel due to it cost and location. Mr.Gill and his colleague were very friendly and helpful asisting me during my stay in singapore. The bedroom and the bathroom were cleaned everyday. The location of the hotel were quite near to Rochor MRT, restaurents and bars. Indian heritage museum i highly recommend friends and families member to visit as it is quite informative and well respresent.
not good staff and no service rude behaviour ”
it's near to all place but staff and accommodation is not good and friendly staff especially rude behaviour room is too small and we booked 2 rooms but gave us deferent floor they promised me next day will change but asked $50 extra per day to change.
Slightly worse than my low expectations ”
We didn’t expect a great deal, though the property looked quaint in pictures. Unfortunately, the staff weren’t particularly friendly, we had a problem on arrival whereby we were given a twin room, rather than the king size we paid for ( this was rectified, but I had to argue), we could often smell cigarette smoke coming into our room. Overall, while I didn’t expect much, it still failed in some areas to meet my low expectations.
Location -The only advantage”
Room is very small feel suffocated. Staff could be more courteous. Location was very good. Good access to the MRTs and the Bus service.
Friendly staff, good location, hard beds”
Pros: Super friendly and helpful staff. Mr Gil drew me maps and made good recommendations. Very near metro station. Amazing biryani restaurant across the street. Cons: hardest beds I’ve ever encountered! Showing some signs of age, but generally very clean.
Very bad and rude front desk staff”
We stayed at one night at this hotel. Upon checking we are require to pay additional money because we have two small kid. We have no problem to pay and we also trying to ask for discount as our kids only reach 3years old, but the lady at receptionist scold at us and mentioned do not make any problem here. We pay extra money, but we get the same room w/o extra bed, and the room is too small... This is not the correct way to treat the customer as we pay for our stay... This lady also told us that their boss instruct them to put Malaysian guest and the basement level..this is unacceptable! Pls treat your guest with manner... 0.01 star for your hotel!
Convenience place for stay”
This hotel is very near Rochor station, around 120m for walking....especially it is also near Mustafa center where all Vietnamese tourists love to find souvernirs such as Palm oil, Tiger Oil, laptop bags, shirts, and others at cheapeast costs. Meals are easy found surroundings not over 100m in walk. especially, bus stop is found excitedly at some steps that most of tourist guys want to screen this beatiful city.... Let save your time and money to take a room here, it is great place wherever I have come....
We got what we paid for. It was clean and exactly what we wanted. A place to sleep comfortably. There is an indian food place just opposite which is good for two days but then you wish there were other options.
Can stay here again next time”
Facilities is good and the location are strategic near mrt station. Furthermore, we are so happy coz they upgrade our room from standard to a bigger room. But perhaps they can upgrade the cleanliness much more better from smelly and insect such as scorpion and cockroach.
Good Place to stay”
its all a question what someone looking for to stay in Singapores busy Little India. I enjoyed the room with all facilities a single traveller need. It was a special discounted Agoda offer so it was a good Deal. If you would need to non dicounted room rate from my opinion that would be to expensive. But I got for the money I paid what I was looking for. I was satisfied, specialy having a own shower and toilet inside room. Even no Window but this is common in Singapore lower room rate level. I can recommend Sandpiper Hotel.
Good worth place to stay”
I'm quite satisfied with the room. I've booked a nest room 104 opposite the fire exit entrance, and from the review I was sceptical whether a 3 star was worth a good place to stay. To my understanding a NEST is something small with a certain small space. It's good enough to have a bathroom which is clean, comes in with towels and toothpaste/toothbrush. But the bad side only the TV was hanging on the left side, as im lying down facing the toilet. So maybe adjustable wall tv stand would be better.. the hooks behind the door won't help much if you put a hanging bar, with few hangers( can Hang more clothes). Or under the bed you can do a mini door like a mini cupboard to put luggages. That will save more space and everybody is happy. I've been hoping 3 stars hotel when Im on leave and this is one of the best price with good amenities. Look forward to see you again sandpiper
Beautiful clean hotel in Little India”
This hotel is a great value for those looking for cultural experiences. The rooms are very small but clean, modern, and beautiful with fast wifi. The staff was very friendly and helpful, giving very good advice on places to go in the area. We loved having a hotel on the Southern end of Little India, very close to Arab Street, so we could experience both cultures. We find the large mall shopping districts to be too generic and not very exciting, so this was truly a better choice to stay. Because the public transportation in Singapore is very good, we could get around for business travel with great convenience. When reserving a room, do not bother with breakfast. You receive vouchers to eat breakfast at a tapas bar about one minute walk away from the hotel. But it is over-crowded and the breakfast is sub-par. It is better just to walk to nearby restaurants that are more comfortable with good food.
It’s a basic average 2 1/2 hotel. Conveniently located to be able to get around”
The hotel room I booked was for a queen bed, without window. What I got was a room bed with 2 single beds but with a window. They said it was an upgrade.. not sure about that.. as it was vert noisy as the restaurant people out side the window partied until late with music blaring and then the call to prayer from the mosque. Not the best place to get any sleep. And I think for the $ u pay for the night.. I think there are better options worth checking out.
Rooms are not as what is shown in pictures”
I had booked for a stay at the hotel and was shocked to be greeted by a rude receptionist and was appalled with the rooms. Basically, rooms are not as what are being portrayed in pictures and NOT WORTH the price at all.
Poor Service, Untidy. Poor customer service”
After I booked the hotel, its ashamed that I cannot join them, so i emailed the hotel to say that 2 of my friends will arrive. They said that I should pay additional SGD 50 for not showing up. What kind of policy is that? They still let my friends pay the amount. The room was untid. Bedsheets are not clean and with hair. Water heater was so filthy, and disgusting. The room, and all inside the room are generally not clean. Will not recommend this. Staff are not friendly and accommodating. Poor service!
Poor customer service, aged & rude receptionists, no courtesy / respect for customer ”
The rooms and cleanliness are average, a bit old hotel, They charged a huge fine of more than per day fee for checking out a few hours late; Receptionists are very rude & not at all helpful in any way; Better to avoid this place
It was not very bad hotel i have ever seen. i booked for a single bed room but on the day i checked in gave me double bed room and i requested to change in the next day, they changed for me to single bed room but acted in rude way, and also charged me SG50 for using electronic container to boil tea, i think it was not proper way to charge customer in this high price also not a serious to boil tea. the staff were so rude, no second time for me.
experience India here”
Although the hotel was not flash it was comfortable, bed was good bathroom ok but not flash, clean though. Staff were good helpful once you got to know them. The location though was fantastic almost 3rd world India right there in the middle of Little India, the food was fantastic, we met some lovely people.
The rooms were quite small but comfortable enough if you are not a picky traveler. Toilet and bath do not have partitions. It is close to the Rochor MRT station which made it easy to travel to by train. A good walking distance to the Bugis Junction and Bugis Street. They do not serve breakfast. You need to eat out to have breakfast. Mostly Indian food nearby and a couple of Korean restos.
