The hotel always pleased me. ”
A good place for a romantic couple. It's just that the hotel and staff were not prepared for overwhelming of guests during Easter as there are a lot of guests check in and also it's very messy. I think should open more counter for check in. We waited for nearly 40mins for our rooms and maybe should provide welcome food or drinks for the waiting guests. There are also not enough area for seat and me and partner ended up seating at smoking area in the bar. We also unsure of who to ask if our rooms are ready. They should have more staff at the area for assistance. Overall my stay is great and the food for breakfast is awesome and 5 star dining. The staff are courteous and always great us. Great work and keep it up.
Could Have Been Better”
My wife and I stayed over for two nights for the Easter weekend. Upon arriving check in was already a mess. The receptionist that told us she was gonna call us when the room was already available did not get in touch with us. We had to go back to the recep just to ask. In the room, concierge services was also bad. They would say they would call you back, but they also did not. The pool was chaos, the hotel should impose new rules in reserving the pool beds.... So many were reserved but people were not even there to use them. On the good side, the room was awesome. Dinner at Spiral was also delicious. The waiters there were also awesome. The Hotel as a whole is still very nice, just the service sucked. Sofitel is still an iconic Hotel within Manila :-)
The hotel boasts a stunning view of the Manila bay.It was relaxing and calming to the senses as well.My kids and my father enjoyed strolling along the pool and bay area.On the other hand, hotel's room needs improvement in term of furnishing.It looks outdated.
best dinner and breakfast buffet. NICE VIEW we just find it weird that there's a crib inside our room. it was so funny we didn't even ask them to take it away. check out though is bit hassle since everyone is checking out at the same time. hope they reconsider checking out late as an option
our stay is all worth it. i even received a gift from them since i celebrated my birthday during our stay. our kids love the pool and playground they want to comeback. i just wish they also have a bathtub in bathroom. but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Too many flaws to enumerate. We booked their suite room and shower was cold all through out our stay. They charge 5 star price but service was really poor. It's not worth the prive and would not recommend to friends.
Booked Superior King expecting for a bathroom with a bathtub but none. Called the front desk right away and said we’ll be transferring to another room with one. Thou, we waited for like 1.5 hours, still worth it. The view was superb!!! Room is good, staff are friendly, pool is fantastic, food is great!!! Will definitely be back.
So far I have ways had a pleasant experience here for a nearby vacation. I have no negative critisizm to be honest. If ever maybe just the location. But the hotel itself is consistent and still one of the best in Manila. Especially the facilities and amenities. I personally enjoyed the private massage room very much and the pool/outdoor bar area. Also the club upgrade never fails to enhance the experience. To say they have a great buffet has become cliché, but hey... they have a cheese room <3

Short getaway. Sumptuous food. ”
1. Systematic. Booked the room thru agoda. Made the reservation for buffet lunch thru their website. When i arrived, check-in happened like a breeze. 2. Sumptuous breakfast. I couldn't find anything negative to say about their buffet breakfast. Wide array of food. I enjoyed the nuts so much. And the juices, they're served fresh! 3. Buffet Lunch- Disappointed to discover that the price doesn't include juice or drinks. Ramen has to be ordered ala carte and for an additional price. Food was good but Highstreet Cafe (Shang Fort) draws more favor in terms of ambience and quality. I guess, foie gras only gets served in dinner buffet coz didn't see one on the table. Peking duck was a bit dry too. 4. Room-they gave me an upgraded room which comes with a separate bathtub and shower. Bath essentials was an awesome surprise (Lanvin). 5. Staff- courteous and accomodating.

A great hotel in the heart of Manila”
Pros: Delicious food, staff are proactive and with pleasing personality, spacious room, has the view of Manila Bay, 15 to 30 minutes drive to US embassy and can upgrade room for free if original room is not yet ready upon check in. Cons: expensive food
Always best to celebrate birthday at Sofitel. Looking forward on our next visit.

We got the 1 Bedroom Suite and room was big and clean. Spiral Buffet is the best! I highly recommend choosing Sofitel if you are staying in Manila.

Spiral is the best buffet restaurant in the whole of the Philippines! We enjoyed the spread and had a pleasant stay overnight.
Poor management by counter front desk personnel, I changed my guest name from Agoda, and I already have a confirmation email, then when my guest check in in sofitel, the counter said, there is no changes made, and ask my guest to call by herself to agoda, this is poor management, the counter should do the checking with agoda instead of guest, this counter personnel must transfer to the back desk not in the front desk, poor service quality and laziness. Hope the hotel management settle this issue or it will affect the hotel reputation.

This ADA (HC) Room was a slight disappointment BUT the food never ever lets me down!!”
Let me start by saying i often stay at Sofitel when i am in Manila. I attempted to contact the guest service manager upon my checkout but he/or she wasnt available. So i am a disabled business and vacation traveler to Southeast Asia. Im a very independent paraplegic so i rarely travel with anyone. This visit i was booked in room 801 which is supposed to be a handicap or wheelchair room. The most glaring problem was a grab bar setup that was literally on top of the toilet so when i transferred onto the toilet seat i had to sit sideways. Second, when i tried to access the closets in the hallway i couldnt open the door to the closet because it would hit my wheelchair and i constantly had to reposition myself to try to accomplish this task. these are very fixable problems but i suggest a consultation with a firm who specializes in this area or a consultant who actually is disabled and perhaps also has a law degree to insure local Manila code compliance as well. BTW, food is awesome

Went for the location, will come back for the royal treatment (and food)”
We stayed here for 2 nights - the night before and after my oath taking in CCP. I chose it first because of it's proximity (it is right behind CCP) and I did not want my parents to have to walk far for the venue. I did not expect that we will be given the royal treatment. My mom and my brother did not want to leave the hotel and instead just wanted to lounge in the room and around the hotel. They particularly enjoyed the buffet. Spirale is amazing, as per usual. They also attended to every single request efficiently. Kudos to the staff and management! Keep up the amazing work. We will most definitely be back. :)
