Nice private onsen with sea view, good breakfast.”
It is within walking distance from the Beppu train station, close to convenient/department store. We enjoyed both private (free 1 time/day) and public onsens, which were great experience for us. The breakfast was in a private room and there were many choices. We recommended this hotel to friends who are going to visit Kyushu soon. This is a good choice and reasonable price hotel.
Everything in good arrange especial for the dinner. good
Staff were very helpful and the place was immaculate.
Good value of money. Ryokan style room are comfortable and spacious. ”
Private onsen and breakfast are superb. Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is under renovatio so it should be even nicer after the renovation is completed. A large shopping mall is in the walking distance from the hotel where we can easily find good restaurants for dinner and shopping.
Totally enjoyed my stay there”
Everything was great. My room was a sea view room with Ashi-Yu(a foot bath). It was so therapeutic to soak ya get in the bath while looking at the sea. The private Onsen overlooking the sea was awesome. Breakfast was delicious too. The staff were informative and friendly. They have good command of English, a few of them are foreigners, but I noted even the Japanese spoke quite ok. I would definitely recommend this place to stay if you are here in beppu
Nice ocean front view hot springs hotel”
Renovating for.a better room decor and a small wooden hot springs bathtub with a view of ocean. Nice Japanese traditional breakfast
가성비는 진짜 갑 무조건 갑”
kaiseki and breakfast was so great! although the time for private bath is only 45 minutes, it was very very nice!! the hotel is slightly old, but it is not problem. the seaside view was really great and the service of all workers was perfect!! i will recommend this hotel to my all friends
Luv Private Onsen”
Onsen was fantastic even public one u can see sun rise from the ocean along with in the onsen area!! You also can book private onsen for you couple and family it's really good vacation You can walk to Beppu station just only 10 minutes and very easy way. I would strongly recommend this hotel Next time I definitely stay this hotel again.
Great inhouse onsen”
It was quite far from the Beppu JR station, but reachable! I dont like the fact that they don't provide shower room in our tatami room (only a small room with a toilet bowl, no shower area), while I had ever stayed in a ryokan before and they do have complete bathroom. Room size is very good, its consider very spacious in Japan standard. Our room comes with foot soaking area in balcony, facing ocean. And we love this alot, we spent alot of time enjoying ocean view and warm our feet! We feel very, very blissful...
Nice sea view hot spring hotel in reasonable price”
To be honest, this one is little bit old and the hot spring is old and small. But this hotel is next to Beppu coast, the view from the room is so nice! Breakfast also serve in a seaview restaurant with indiviual room. Its a really good deal for a limited budget traveler!
Location is adjacent to Beppu Tower and can walk from JR Beppu Station. Japanese-styled room is clean and well equipped with beautiful sea view. Delicious Japanese breakfast is provided. Can walk to TOKIWA & You me Town for shopping. Bus stop near hotel to visit 8 hells and other onsens. No WiFi in room, only in lobby.
When in Beppu....enjoy the in-house onsen?”
Hotel is on the waterfront, so we took a taxi from the JR station, but the bus stop was conveniently nearby for getting around town. Our stay in Beppu was brief, mainly to take the ferry to Shikoku the next day, (take a taxi as it's easily over a mile to ferry dock from the hotel) so we did not get to all the sights but after several trips to the hotel's onsen, I was super-relaxed a squeaky clean. relaxed and squeaky clean.
position is good”
price is reasonable
Good sea view with a foot bath, feeling relax. Also a family bath can be reserved without paid!
Very clean and is a good place to experience Japanese traditional hotel. love the breakfast in here!
nice and cosy hotel but having mosquito bites”
As stated in the topic. Nice hotel with approachable staff. The only bad thing is about the mosquito which make us unable to sleep well over the whole night and More than 20 bites for each of us.
We stayed here for the ryokan experience, it was really nice place to stay. Staff were very helpful and the place was immaculate. It is close to some very nice restaurants and you are provided with a yukata in your hotel room, which you are allowed to wear outdoors. This is a nice experience and I would recommend it. The ryokan is indoors, I would have enjoyed an rooftop ryokan but this was still a nice experience and I would do it again. It was a much needed spa day after travelling around for a while!
Thank you for superb Ryokan experience”
It was my first experience in Ryokan and it's turn out very impressive in Seikaiso. It is better than I expected that other comment are say this hotel is dated but I found myself this hotel clean and look like it has been renovated. What I like the most is rooftop private onsen that you may soaked yourself in a warm water whilst overlook toward ocean, what's a great experience a hotel can offer!. Dinner and breakfast come in a full course more than 10 dished of from Sashimi to A5 beef as well as breakfast. Staff is nice and service mind although little english spoken we'll find a way to communicate and get what you want. Room is very clean and decorated in traditional japan style futon and mattress also comfy though city view can see a Beppu tower from a window, Overall recommended this hotel for people who wish to stay at Beppu.
Hotel is ok. Quite old but will maintained. Staff performance is ok and they can speak English. There is a facility instruction in English in the room. Room is Japanese style with balcony so you can walkout to see the nice sea view. Onsen is standard with sea view from high angle. I do not see open-air area. Breakfast is good, a set menu with sea-view private dining room. If you walk a bit to the west, you will see walking street with a lot of food and entertainment there. You can also take bus on the main street to reach to the sand spa which is great and I would recommend it.
Overall a very disappointing stay! Bad service!”
The room was fine but the staff was really rude. I stayed in the hotel for three nights because I live in Beppu, while my parents stay for four nights. At the fourth day's morning, I went to the hotel to bid goodbye to my parents since they are flying back home that day. I was about to go to their room like O usually do for the past three nights but the receptionist did not allow me and was speaking rudely in Japanese. I called my mom and she tried to talk him into letting me. He refused and told us to pay for another night if I went up to their room. He even rudely told my mom to 'speak Japanese' and scold her for using the sandal provided for guests to the lobby, although hotel sandal was ment to be used that way. The receptionist also claimed that there were no records of me staying, although my parents have paid it by cash. The room was also dirty with stains on the sink and some missing amenities. DO NOT STAY in this hotel if you want a good experience. The staff surely doesn't respect foreign people.
