The location is good. near the night market and not far away from beach. There are many stores outside the hotel so you can buy the things you need. I thank this area is quite hectic than I expected. However, the beach here is quieter and cleaner than the patong beach. The breakfast is OK with certain choices of food. The only disadvantage were the low water pressure from the shower and no private parking in the hotel. But outside the hotel you can find a free public parking.
Cute and comfy, across from great night market ”
We really enjoyed our stay here, the room was comfortable and clean and the staff were friendly. The location was a bit far from the beach but we found a short cut next to the 711 that takes you down a path right to the beach- maybe a 5 minute walk. The hotel is right across from the Kata night market that had great food! A lot of other options nearby as well. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.
Nice New Clean hotel - a bit of a walk to the beach and construction across the street”
The Hotel was lovely, clean and new and in a great location - it was a bit a a walk to the beach but it seems most hotels Kata have a bit of walk - the hotel was close to everything and especially the night market which was great for grabbing dinner,
Disappointing end to stay”
My wife and I checked out at 7am on the 28.2.19. The guy on the fron desk went and checked our room . As we were in the mini bus I realised I had left my wife’s medication in the fridge together with some cans, bottles and a number of multi packets of various chocolate bars. I ran back in and went to the room and emptied the fridge but all the chocolate had gone. I assumed my wife had packed it. On route to the ferry I mentioned it to her but she had not removed it. It was not the fact the chocolate had been stolen but the fact they would have seen the medication but made no effort to tell us, it could have had serious consequences, fortunately it was not the case but the culprit would not have known this. I hope they enjoyed the chocolate. I have tried for weeks to email the hotel but they keep being rejected. The motto is don’t forget to empty the fridge...YOURSELF.
Friendly staff, great location, good vibe and decor, great value for money, professional”
We have visited Kata many times - most budget hotels have faults, issues etc. Blue Peal offered us pleasant helpful professional staff, lift access, decent cooked buffet breakfast included. Location across from night market - the source of great food - locals and tourists eat there every night - found great cocktail bar in there also, 100 baht each - good strength and size glasses! Parking for motorbikes opposite. Really in centre of Kata beachside shops, beach about 5-10 mins walk depending which way you choose. Small spa and swim pools on top outside, very relaxing, wifi excellent, rooms clean and blue 'boat' theme throughout. This is our 'go to' place in Kata!
Budget hotel? More like boutique!”
The cutest hotel! The decoration just makes me want to hang around all day long! It cheers me up! Originally booked for 2 nights ended up staying 9 nights!!!! That’s how at home I felt!!! ROOMS: Amazing! Nicely decorated, spacious and unique! It’s a budget hotel but feels like a boutique hotel! Every room is unique! With mountain view and balcony! SHOWER: Nice spacious bathroom, had a little issue with hot water and pressure in my room, but staff send maintenance right away. Even if issue was not fully fixed, I’m sure this was my room only issue and I didn’t mind as I was taking cool showers anyway, nice and refreshing ;) HOTEL AREAS: Really cute bar / restaurant, you can hang out there. The pool is small but cozy and serves the purpose of refreshing yourself! CLEANLNESS: Super clean! BREAKFAST: Really good breakfast, eggs, pancakes, fruit, cereal, all nicely prepared and plated! LOCATION: Conveniently located one block away from beach area and close to restaurants and main road. STAFF: They are not super friendly, but they do their job well VALUE FOR MONEY: OUTSTANDING
the pic looks alot bigger than the actual room. if you had 2 big luggages it would take up alot of space. the wall were Abit "thin". we could hear our neighbor next door, when ever the kids are crying etc. the receptionist also took a long time to search for our booking via Agoda. it couldn't find it in their system. however instead of keeping us waiting (we checking in near midnight) they gave us a room, and told us they will get back to us in the morning, which they did. appreciate their thoughtful staff!
Great stay and value for money”
Such great value for money! Reccomend getting breakfast included; you got so much for the little extra amount it was per night. Rooms were clean amd well maintained, nice and close to the night markets (not noisy either), not too far to walk from the beach, lots of good surrounding resturants and close to 7/11 which always helps! Loved our stay here and would definitely stay here again! Great value for money!
We booked The Blue Pearl last minute for a 4 night stay in Phuket and were pleasantly surprised at the value for money. Our room was huge with a large double bed, huge tv, private bathroom, air con, fridge, tea and coffee and free drinking water. The room had large windows which overlooked a local market which made the room nice and bright, in the evenings there were blackout curtains to get a good night sleep. The staff were friendly and the rooftop pool looked nice although we did not get a chance to enjoy. Only downside is it currently overlooks a construction site. Location of the hotel is excellent, a short walk to the beach and plenty of restaurants, bars and markets nearby.
The Hotel is within walking distance to Kata Beach. The area is peaceful and quiet , even with the hotel construction near by. The staff were very friendly. Perhaps they could upgrade their beddings, especially the pillows.
Location is great...less than 10 mins walk to the beach and just across night market. 2nd time staying at this hotel and had a comfortable stay as usual. Amenties are adequate. Wish the pool had less chlorine...burned ourselves during our last stay. Staff are quite efficient but not so friendly. Room was not as spacious as our first stay but not really an issue. Rooms are also clean and well maintained. If for the same price will defintely stay at Bkue Pearl again.
Excellent hotel, very clean!”
Love this hotel. Only downside is the active construction site across the road. Quite noisy during the day but after 9pm it settles down and everyone goes home. Very cute rooms, nicely decorated and comes with everything you’d ever need. Also, two (possibly 3?) pools on the roof! Right across the side street is a night market where you can purchase snacks and other goodies. Delicious food. 5 minute walk to the beach. 7/11 just down the street. Nice balconies, nice staff. Would definitely recommend and go back! :)
It’s pretty good here the room was cool the receptionists really friendly and helpful Located very closed to Kata Beach just a short walk but don’t have iron bring it oh hunnyyy
If you're just looking for a place to crash near Kata Beach, it's a good option. However just note that there's no hot water and towels and etc are not changed daily. The "double bed" = 2 single beds pushed together and it's really uncomfortable to sleep on. There were loads of flies in the toilets too. The location is very convenient for food and beaches, but please be prepared to travel 15-20 minutes (car) to other night markets, good if you're just having a quick getaway
Good hotel with finally a comfortable bed!”
The hotel is in a good location, is well decorated & has a comfortable bed, which is rare in Thailand. I’d definitely recommend staying here. The only downside was no breakfast included & the music & screaming of Thai locals that kept me up til past 3am one night.
Perfectly clean room and toilet. Didn't have time to use the other facilities. The staff was helpful excepting the first girl that received us that was talking on the phone while attending us and didn't explain anything, just made some indications of the direction to get to our room.
Budget hotel at Kata”
Anyone looking for a budget stay right in Kata beach should look no further. The blue pearl hotel is very near to the beach, many restaurant and even a market(open on certain days), I highly recommend eating seafood at this market (1st shop on the right) They offer a good spread of seafood at only 990Bhat . Back to the hotel, while the location is excellent, the strong wind from the unblock apartment nearby means scary sounding nights like your window gonna break through. For light sleeper, it is MUST to stay away. It is far too noisy with the howling wind at night. The staff seem to lost their smiles and unwillingness to put in the slightness effort in aiding guest. I have been trying so hard to find a reason to tip them, perhaps a smile " do you need my help?" or just helping us with direction, but no, 4 nights there and I got zero smile and help from them. Alot of improvement can be done.
It is the best location and price you can get in Kata beach. 5mins walk to the beach, just round the corner is the night market on every Mon & Thur. Only setback in that area is transportation to airport, hiring taxi will cost around 1500-2000bahts. Try to find a travel agency that has can pick-up from hotels....a lot cheaper (around 350bahts).
Nice hotel in a good location”
From the reception, I had the feeling that the hotel is nice, with the good interior and pleasant staff. The room is nice as well. The only think I kind of dislike is that I had to go through some short stairs to get to my unit. It was not that bad though. Overall, I had a good stay here and would still consider staying again.
