Very good location”
Grand five star hotel, good food, beautifully maintained. Great roof top restaurant with polite staffs. Drawback: Old and in pathetic condition sofa in the room. Shower mixer not working properly. Even after opening both taps (hot & cold), for a few seconds water from shower was either very hot or cold. It was repeating intermittently.
Perfect location. Amazing staff. Terrific food. Only down side was below part noise insulation. ”
Food at The Boulevard was terrific. We had South of Vindhyas on our mind as well but couldn't make it as we had little time on hand. Staff at the hotel is very courteous and well trained. So much so that I still remember names of some people - Rehman from Boulevard, Leslie who helped me with digital key problem and Ashok the house keeping staff. Only issue I see is bad sound insulation. Maybe we were staying at the older wing of the hotel and the new part maybe better. But in my room I could hear noises from the lobby, upper and adjacent rooms. Btw I passed by Mr Kamat during my stay but wasn't sure if it was him. Later I asked a manager to confirm. He was with some other guests and I was pleased to see how much he cared for his guests.
Guest Signature ”
I had a guest at your hotel Orchid. Unfortunately, the Tax invoice did not have the signature of the guest at the time of check out. I am told by your staff that if payment is done electronically, the signature of the guest will not show on the invoice. The reason for requesting for a Tax invoice is for the purpose of Audit. Hence; make sure that the guest signs before check out. Overall: Hotel and Service was GOOD.
Great Hospitality ”
This hotel is situated at very strategic location and well connected to Airport and Railways. Hospitality from staff is extremely good with all facilities. Variety in Breakfast and quality awesome. Need to be cost economical on few transportation system like transfer to International airport, which is extremely expensive. Guests from hotel have to search for economical transportation and this does lead to issues. Hotel Management should take this feedback seriously and make it more convenient.

Hospitality and room comfort was great. Neatness and attitude of staff very good. Location is also very strategic. Overall, good value for money. However, need to be more prompt on confirmation of reservation while extending the stay and not linger on
Need to improve customer relation for junior staff. They need to update systems for room service because each time you call they ask for room number. took longer time for room service during night hours than day.

Two bookings, two different rooms, Cheated by Agoda for not offering the breakfast with room rent which was available on the offer from Trip advisor. Two separate bookings and the rooms had the same problem. Neither room issues were fixed. Hence disappointed with the hotel. Breakfast same item repeated every day. Rather to have different varieties on daily basis and avoid repetition.
Worst Horrible experience ever-The Orchid Hotel Mumbai”
I was staying in orchid hotel mumbai on 29th march 2019 Had done a booking online via agoda Reservation and front desk team: After the booking, i called to hotel landline and call was connected to reservation team to inform about my instruction but no one ready to help me out, this people keep on diverting my call to different different departments without my permission. Twice they disconnect my call without giving any information. I had given some instruction to agoda while booking the room also same instruction was informed to hotel people on their landline number. But that instruction was not followed by hotel people. 3) Room service and other facilities : after giving instruction also they didnt placed bath robe in my room,Had to asked for it. And houskeeping people is like "Sir bathrobe is not available it will take some time and they didnt offer bathrobe till next day afternoon. Health club people refuse to take steam sauna shower, it was complimentary with my stay but they asked me to pay for it. Being 5 star property You people dont offer cookies , fruits or chocolates to the customer, it was showing new for me, shame on you guys. Insipte for informing twice there was wine glass iny room Had to asked for it and it was not cleaned. 4) There is no safe , security and privacy of every customer : Random people were ringing my door bell around 11.42 pm... Horrible experience was Midnight at 1.46 am two young girls were trying to open my door for 5 to 6 mins with their duplicate key. When informed Duty manager sonia, she said she escalate this issue and will check with security team and she will get back to me about the same but she didnt reply on anything.. Out side my room people playing songs on mobile , lot of noise, people walking ,talking ,shouting like mess.. 5) cleaning and maintaince : washroom was in worst condition, cleaning was not done properly. Tv cable connection n remote was not working. Door bell was not working properly This Over all
towel also not clean at all.
Misleading Photos on Agoda”
This is a small hotel, down a side road in a run down wasteland area. It is very old & tired. When we arrived there was no furniture in the lobby. Later after my observation some appeared. No towels in the room. When they were delivered they were old & worn out. The price of this hotel on Agoda was 500% more expensive that on Trivago, which we only found after paying the hotel as they demanded full payment at check in. I never felt safe here and left early.
Spacious rooms and excellent service ”
Rooms and spacious with a decent sized sitting area . Check-in and checkout were easy and handled very professionally. The guys at the front desk. Kaplak, farhan, Nadeem and sagar are all very helpful. We stayed for 9 nights and had 2 adjacent rooms . Room we’re thoroughly cleaned and -Emelia, the House keeping supervisor was very courteous and would provide extra towels and toiletries whenever we needed Finally Orchid has 4 restaurants which expectional food in line with what you can expect at any Kamath restaurant around the world . We were allowed to have breakfast at 2 restaurants so always had a variety . South of The Vindhayas is a great restaurant to visit even if you are not staying there . It provides and South Indian Style cuisine in a sit down buffet style . All and all a very good vacation experience
Not worth the money ”
Had only few hours for transit, probably they gave us the worst hotel room, aircon was so loud, and lights were not working properly, just very bad experience, only good point is the free ride to the domestic airport next day.

The proximity to the airport helped. Staff and their hospitality was par excellence. Food was tasty too. Some dishes were expensive. Considering the weather of Mumbai in mind and that the hotel is mostly carpeted, the housekeeping should pay more attention to smell of dampness in the bathrooms. It would be good if a few frangrance dispensers are placed in bathrooms too. Rest all was very good.

enjoyed stay. pool wasnt great just ok. it's not covered so beware of rains. food was surprisingly good. midnight Buffett is great and the south Indian restaurant is really good. rooms were clean but could be cleaner behind the furniture. basic done right. would come here purely because of location and price. would recommend
dropping levels of service ”
Have noticed a visible drop in quality of service. Especially in the restaurant where less waiters are seen during peak breakfast hours and seen frantically trying to reach customers. Clearing room service trays did not happen after reminders and did not happen at all till i checked out the room.
We had a pleasant stay at this hotel although the plumbing in our bathroom could have been better. The water in the bath tub did not drain properly and kept collecting in the tub while taking a shower. It took two calls to housekeeping to have the matter addressed. Two maintenance technicians worked on the drainage and even then the water did not drain to our satisfaction. As we were staying 3 nights we just did not bother again. The guest relations staff, Sarah, provided excellent service in helping us with uber cabs and other questions and suggestions regarding sightseeing etc. We would like to mention Sushil from housekeeping who did an excellent job cleaning our bathroom after the technicians had finished.

from my perspective as International travelers. Not local Indian. Pros: comparatively reasonable room rate, breakfast included (actually the South Indian Style breakfast room on lobby floor is very good). Cons: Restaurant prices are quite high (875INR plus taxes for 6 pcs of chicken tikka), fitness room space and facilities are sub-par. outdated facilities. Overall - if you can accept the room of 3 stars international standard, with decent breakfast then stay here. But if you are looking for a hotel that you can enjoy the swimming and/or exercise facilities, and looking to dine in the hotel - this is not the place.
