Great Riverside Hotel”
Wonderful staff, very good breakfast and can't beat the location. I've stayed here several times and have never been disappointed.
Almost very good”
The location is perfect and the room is very comfortable, even though the windows are so small. Most of the time the staff was helpful and smiling. Some staff do not smile at all and behave in a rude manner. I gave feedback to the hotel and hopefully improve the service level when I recommend the hotel.
Construction noise from 2 sources”
Unbelievably loud construction noise from adjacent building under construction. The properties share a wall. Their rooftop deck and splash pool closed and under renovation as well. Lobby and restaurant area always hot and stuffy. However the suites are nice size rooms and have a balcony with view of the river. Stay away until both construction projects are finished!
Disappointed about the overall quality of the hotel and the services proposed ”
Advantages: - good location, near Royal Palace and the river side Disadvantages: - either side, back or front with river view, both were noisy - the room deserves to be cleaner especially for the price paid - poor service and no attention to the details - even if advertised as a hotel spa, the hotel has no spa facility and massages were done in your room directly (with no infrastructures) - ours were done directly on the sleeping bed. The masseuses (their professionalism were questionable) used our room toilets. A bit of prior notice by the hotel staff would avoid the misunderstanding. Despite the excellent customer feedback, the quality of service didn’t match our expectations. Although the pictures were very appealing, but don’t seem to match the reality.
Good view on rooftop bar, may be noisy by a busy street”
Room is clean and spacious. Toilet was huge too. Balcony (even the bed, really) faces the river. Cupboard was a little faulty though. Their staff left us a handwritten welcome message when we checked in which was a nice gesture. Bedroom slippers are not provided in the room but you can ask for it at the reception. Rooftop bar is a really good place to chill at night. You get not only a river view, but glimpses of light shows coming from the other buildings (you can even spot a bit of the royal palace). The only downside for us was that there's a construction going on next door and since the hotel is located by a busy street, it can get noisy.
Great views of the Tonle Sap and foreshore.”
I stayed on the first and fourth floors during my two visits in early August. Great amenities with a nice large bathroom with separate tub and rainfall shower. Friendly and helpful staff and they can make a good cafe latte (flat-white).
The worst hotel in Phnom Penh”
Worst level of price. I will never stay again. Totally different rooms with photo, noisy air conditioners, dirty room condition, and even an expensive amount. There is no one I like. I will never recommend this hotel. I can not even forgive the guests who reviewed this hotel.
very hospitable and honest”
i forgot to lock my safe on the first night. my money and other valuables were not touched even though the locker was ajar. staff was also eager to answer my queries despite a slight language barrier.
Luxury but affordable nest in the heart of Phnom Penh.”
Really met expectations. Room was really luxury though design seems a bit dated and its "longitudinal" structure (long but tight) makes it a little weird. Very comfortable (bed, water pressure, A/C ...) and silent at night, despite being on riverside in city centre, in the heart of the busy nightlife area! I wish I could stay longer, I only had a short night stop-over (8 p.m. - 9.30 a.m.). The river view isn't extraordinary but still lovely and pleasant at sunrise in the early morning, when traffic is very low. Overall a great place to stay! To all travellers caution, do get some buffer when going from there to airport! people would tell you 30' is enough, yet 1 hour is common!
Nice hotel, good service, terrible pool”
The rooms are nice and spacious, the breakfast is brilliant. It's a bit depressing if you stay in the back-end of the hotel due to the tiny windows and lack of natural light. The breakfast is excellent with the staff being very attentive. The pool and rooftop are very disappointing. It's too small.
Room interior is beautiful. We booked the suite so we had a river view which is great. However some minor hiccups. there was a few black out. Tv couldn't function. There was no water on one of the morning. However breakfast was good. And room stay was pleasant!
Lovely rooms but don't stay on 4th floor”
We have stayed here many times before. This time they put us in a great room on 4th floor. After travelling all day we just wanted to sleep. Not possible as there is a bar with music right above. Music pounding until nearly midnight. After 3 complaints they moved us the next day. Besides this it's a great hotel, and we will continue staying there, just NOT on the 4th floor.
I stayed 3 nights there, the staff is good, rooms are big and very well deisgned furniture and nice bathroom, but a bit dark, it needs more light. The lobby an bar/restaurant also is dark, you don't want to stay there for eating.
My favourite part of Phnom Penh is on the riverfront. Room was quiet, staff were great and spoke english. My room internet was not working when I arrived, so I used the lobby wifi .. next morning my room wifi was ok again. No pool at the hotel which I would have liked.
Fantastic boutique hotel”
We travel to Phnom Penh monthly and have stayed in many hotels. This gem is by far the best. Good value for money, great rooms (view of the Mekong with a balcony) and excellent breakfast. Staff are friendly and have excellent English. We will be back next month and certainly will be staying here again and again.
Lovely suites overlooking the water”
The Quay is a small boutique hotel with 16 rooms. The rooms in the front overlook the water across the street. The rooms are modern and the bathrooms spectacular. The rooftop bar is romantic and inviting. Breakfast in the morning
Great View with fair service”
The room have a great view of Toni Sap River. We can watch the sunrise at the balcony which makes our trip more sweet. The breakfast they provided were great especially the croissant. The air-conditioning was bad. May be Phnom Penh is much hot and humid, it makes us feeling bad that the air-con is not so good.
The Bathroom alone is worth a visit !”
This Hotel cared about customer satisfaction and WELFARE ! Upon coming to the entrance, one cant help but feel that maybe a mistake has been made choosing this hotel. It looked like a typical restaurant with a long bar hidden behind tall glass doors which are swing types as opposed to typical sliding doors for a 4 star hotel. The floors tiles while clean were not appropriate, it left the impression that it had been shoddily mopped. And peering pass the tables and chairs, right at the back of the room was the reception. Then roller coaster emotional ride took a surprising turn. 1) check in was fast and efficient, fuss free and she spoke good English. 2) rooms room was not large but very trendily designed. they hid the fact that there was no window very well. 3) while the rooms were small, the bathroom was indeed spacious and give one a feeling of a 5 star touch. Separate shower room and toilet seat ! central room wash basin with rustic brick tiles. 4. This was all so great ! but the i noticed it did not have a working table! ...hmm.. spoke to front desk, and in 5 mins a student desk was sent up I always believe that a temporary lodging is always defined by the staff touching grace upon departure. A simple "hope to see you again" ! so simple and yet so effective :) Along the way to the airport, the driver pulled over and someone handed something familiar to him. It was my credit card ! This hotel cared and are serious about guests satisfaction and welfare.
Great stay at The Quay”
The staff were very welcoming and accommodating, it was great to see such friendly faces when we arrived. The room was a bit claustrophobic as there were only two small glass panels to see outside but otherwise it was a good stay. Recommend to get the river view room. Easy to find transportation and food as it's minutes away from the local eateries but your receptionist will be happy to help as well. To the staff of The Quay: Thanks for making our first time in Phnom Penh such a memorable one!
Business & Leisure”
