Good Value and convenient”
I styaed here because it was close to Haneda airport and convenient to get into Tokyo (subway entrance is next door). It is also a 5km jog or 5 min taxi to the Meguro river which is great for walking or running alongside. Room was compact, but very clean and tidy. I would stay here again.
great location and friendly staff”
Great location and staff were friendly and provided excellent service. They were also able to speak english which would help travellers unable to speak Japanese. Room average size by Japanese standards, clean and comftable
Very small rooms but decent for the money”
Perfectly acceptable hotel for the price. Rooms were small but all hotel rooms for this kind of money in Tokyo are! Staff were very helpful indeed when I forgot something in the taxi I took from Shinagawa station. The location is good, right next to Magome metro station linking up all of Tokyo. The Coco restaurant on site is also convenient for cheap and fast food.
good location and nice staff
Nice hotel but far from the action”
Everything about this hotel was very good except it was too far away from Tokyo's nightlife and sightseeing. At least 30 minutes on the metro and it stops running to the Magome station at midnight so if you like to stay out late, it is a cab ride and that is expensive! Better to get a place closer to the action and save time and money.
great location and great service”
great service, great location coz its just right beside magome subway station exit. the small room is a little too small for shopaholic or backpackers as the backpack/luggage itself for 2 pax has nowhere to be placed, should have booked the larger rooms. great budget hotel with great service.
clean & tidy budget hotel”
Near to Magome station (take elevator at Exit A3). Hotel located right next to the elevator. Receptionist is very helpful even though he hardly conversed in english. Coin laundry is available in lobby area with 200yen per wash (30mins) & 200yen for 30min dryer. Detergent, however can be purchase in the reception area (50yen). Microwave is also available in lobby area. Free WiFi in all rooms with excellent coverage & strength.
small but well-equipped hotel room”
The room is compact but well-equipped. I particularly like the small electronic pot that I use to make tea and cook simple soup noodle. The table is also big enough for work as many other economic hotels don't bother to provide a functional writing table. The location is excellent as it is right beside the subway station and has an easy access to international airport.
Great location for subway and awesome service”
The staff was very friendly and spoke English. The maids were also very nice. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would stay there again. My only problem were the people above me were like a herd of elephants, but that's not the hotels fault. The hotel itself was very clean. It was also pretty nice that there was a restaurant (CoCo's) attached to the hotel that is open to 2AM every night. And the hotel is extremely close to the subway, for convenience. I enjoyed my time at Tokyo Inn for the two weeks I was in Japan. However, the pillows were a little too hard for my taste. Bringing a softer pillow, if you prefer one, wouldn't hurt. This didn't hurt the quality of my stay at all, however.
Very small room but perfect locastion”
the hotel room is literally too small for couple, you don't even have room to walk after you place your luggage. and don't expect modern decoration or utilities because the hotel has some history and is a little bit outdated. with these being said, the location is perfect because it is right outside the subway station and there're 3 convenience stores within 1 minute walking distance. staff can speak english and price is unbeatable. overall i would recommend this hotel for business travelers or couples with budget concern.
Recommended for business travelers”
you paid what you got! price is unbeatable, location is extremely close to subway station, like 10 second walking distance, and three convenience stores and one restaurant are close to the hotel. although the hotel is aging and room is a little bit small and outdated, overall environment is still clean and hotel staffs speak english very well and they are quite friendly. recommended for business or travelers with budget.
Great hotel. A bit out of the way.”
Stayed four nights. Enjoyed the comfort and hospitality of a very clean hotel with rooms of average size for budget hotels in Tokyo. Close to subway and within walking distance of JR line in a residential area. Eating out choices, other than the hotel restaurant, were 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel. We would stay here again and recommend.
I liked this place. Its main minus is that it is a distance from the more interesting parts of Tokyo and the neighborhood it is in is not the most interesting (however there is a nice sushi bar nearby). It is extremely close to the subway line which means you can get anywhere relatively quick. And you don't have far to lug luggage if you are coming from the airport. Having Coco's attached to the hotel was convient. Coco's maybe an American chain, but this Coco is not the usual American version. Nothing special, but convient.
Nice, clean hotel in a quieter area in the suburbs”
It was a pleasant two day stay. There were no hidden charges and the hotel was pretty decent for the price I paid. It isn't in a very 'happening' area though, so if you're travelling from Central Tokyo back later at night, you might want to keep an eye out for the last train! It is only about 5 minutes from Gotanda which is quiet a busy place that doesn't really sleep and about 20 minutes from Shinjuku which is super convenient. Cons! The only con was the late check in time. I had to wait till 3pm to check in but they do have a free service to keep your luggage in the hotel while you are out not wasting your time waiting!
Nice clean hotel but small rooms.”
yes, the rooms were small but didn't use them for much other than to sleep. the hotel itself was nice and clean. nice to have the laundry facilities in the hotel. the restaurant attached to the hotel was not so great. we explored the neighborhood behind the hotel and found couple of great local restaurants.
The hotel is easily accessible from Shinagawa station. The subway exit is also right next to the hotel. Good value for money. Highly recommended for budget travelers who are looking for the comfort of a separate room
Near to Magome Subway Station”
jr pass not cover this route to the hotel, you need to paid for subway station to hotel there’s a coffee shop serve free wifi at gotanda station, look for wire cafe coffee house beside the station from gotanda station is a transit line to yamanote line, from here you can use the jr pass go to shinjuku , ginza , ueno , tokyo , akihabara and shinagawa.
Only 5 mins walk to the nearest train station, very convenient. Many shoppings are available nearby
good and superb”
good hotel to stay”
It was great stay ,good service. clean rooms. location was great also close to metro and other attractions
Abit far from Tokyo town. Took the subway at Megome Station around 30-45 mins. But it doesnt matter because i choose to be a traveller not tourist. Amazing part is Japan subway are all connected to one each other! Will come back to this hotel bur at different station!
A great Agoda deal for Tokyo”
The hotel couldn't be any closer to the subway station. Not much in the way of life, or restaurants around the hotel area, but if you're like us you're going to head to Shibuya and Shinjuku most evenings for dinner etc, and you're on the right side of town to get to them pretty easily with only one train transfer. Its a good budget hotel!
One night sleep over”
Hotel was old and looked dirty. Room smelled smoke so badly we had to open the window it was located close to the haneda airport. location was the main reason to chose it. it was the only option left during busy sakura watching period.
You get what you pay for”
Finding accomodation in Tokyo in July is not easy; it took quite a while to find the Tokyo Inn. It is hard to describe the Tokyo Inn as a very attractive hotel. Still, it is clean and things generally seem to be working. The location is not perfect, but visiting Tokyo requires a lot of subway travel anyway. A few more stops make no different. All in all, I'd say the Tokyo Inn is not a bad choice. I might stay there again.
good deal city hotel”
Though it was bit far from Tokyo and other big stations on the Tokyo cicular line, it was still convinient because you can reach the hotel by train and the evelator to station was literally just next to the hotel entrance. It saved me a lot of trouble in pulling my luggage on the street. The single-person room was small, which is typical in Japanese small hotel, but neat and tidy. My plan didn't include breakfast so I can't comment on the food. But the convinient store was just across the street and it was great for late night snack or breakfast. For such price, I think it was a good choice if you don't mind travelling a couple more stations and I'm thinking of staying there again if I go to Tokyo next time.
Nice hotel in a great location”
the hotel is very close to the station, and a nice chain restaurant downstairs. the rooms are small, but not a surprise to japan. but it was perfectly clean. we had a small problem in the room and the staff was very kind and effective and help us with that. it's located in a nice and good location area, close to main attractions, but in a more calm part of tokyo.
Everything about it is basic”
there really is nothing too spectacular about this hotel. average service, average rooms, average price. the best thing about this hotel is that it takes less than 1 minute to get to the nearest subway station. all you do is walk out the front door and take the outdoor elevator down one or two floors and you are at the train station. also, there is a convenience store right across the street.
Convenient, clean, cozy”
Grab a Tokyo metro map at JR station. If arriving at Shinagawa station, you will need to take a cab (~1600¥) or walk 1/4 mile to Asakusa toei station (Takanawadai); cross the streey, slight uphill. To avoid taxi/walking, get off Narita express at Tokyo station, take Marunouchi metro to Ginza (1 stop) transfer to Hibiya metro ride to Higashi-ginza (1 stop), then transfer to Asukasa toei and ride to Magome station (9 stops). Exit station at exit A3 turn left when you get to the top and walk 25 ft to entrance.
close to station”
This is a very old hotel that is in dire need of repair / upgrade in my opinion. Check in at 3pm, check out at 10am ( ouch!). Very small rooms, very old inside, sharp edges in the room which I managed to cut my ankle on. No wireless in the lobby, well u get 10mins free after that u have to wait 3 hrs unless you have a loval mobile phone with mobile email address. Very frustrating, I wish the Japanese would embrace the proliferation of free wireless like the Koreans do. I wont stay here again.
Hotel with small room but tidy”
An valuable hotel with comportable bed, clean and tidy. The reception service is good, the receptionists are friendly and helpful. Free water drink is unlimited provided. Although it is a bit far away from the major travel spots, it is convenient to reach all the major places by taking metro or JR. Also, a western restaurant "COCO" is just next to the restaurant and you can have more choices just 10 minutes walk from the hotel, e.g. noodle shop, Japanese or Korean restaurant etc.
Next to Subway but Room a bit small”
Surprised to find that Hotel is just next to the Magome Subway Station immediately after taking the elevator at Exit A3 upon arrival at the station! We were allowed to leave our baggage at the hotel before the check-in time of 3pm though we came back earlier at 2pm and were allowed to check in as the room was ready then! It's a bit small though with a "Double" Room. The vicinity is actually residential area but with several convenient stores and small restaurants. Loud traffic noise from the window and outside. After all, considering the great & convenient location with the Subway just next to the hotel and tidiness of the room with the relatively low price, still worth the money!
The staff in the hotel are very nice .It close to subway station and 15 mins walk to JR station. After 15 mins walk down to North-west ,you find out this is a mazing area.Lots of restaurants and stores on both sides of the streets. Ozeki supermarket is one of them.Although it is a bit far from the town centre, but the subway run untill midnight. It is not a bit deal for the people like to have night life.
Just next to Magome station!”
i stayed for 6 nights. clean and comfortable though small rooms. just located opposite of magome station, or even next to it using a3 exit, although magome is a bit outside central tokyo. a 24 hour restaurant attached to it, nice food and not expensive.
Convenient and basic, good”
basic rooms, basic service could never figure out how to connect to the internet in the room, but there is a computer and wifi in the lobby. also glad to find the coin laundry at the lobby. transport convenient, across the street from convenience store. walking distance from sento/onsen (public bath), super market/home center and some local restaurants. room smelled like tabacco, but orherwise clean.
Basic Hotel, Good Price”
Right at the exit of Magome station. Magome is far from the center of the city, about a 40 minute ride. Staff is friendly & helpful. They will give you a map with restaurants to visit. Tons of small restaurants on the street next to the station. Convenience store across the street from the hotel. Room is basic for Asia, clean & relatively small. Wifi in lobby only, doesn't work well on Android devices. Attached hotel is "western" food & is cheap, but not very good. It is open pretty late, so it is nice if you arrive late.
You get what you pay for”
the hotel is close to the station, but getting to that particular station is very confusing (we had to backtrack several times) and it's a bit out of the way of most popular locations. the semi-double is literally a single with two pillows, but it's cheap. the restaurant is open late and has tasty dinners, but you might want to consider hitting up a mcdonald's for breakfast instead, unless you have a craving for salad early in the morning.
Check-in time is inflexible (at 3 p.m.) but the hotel is willing to store your baggage for a few hours. Some of the service staff at the reception speak relatively good English but are not as friendly as most Japanese.
The service is good but the location is a bit far ”
It is a bit complicated from hotel to Tokyo down town. It's because we have to change many times at station. At night, we have to leave the town early as we have to pick up the last train to hotel. And there is no wifi provided in the room and even there is in the lobby, the connection is very weak. Although the price is low, I will try to pay more next time as I can spend more time for sight seeing or shopping and saved the transportation time.
Convenient, basic, clean, friendly, and cheap.”
the hotel is on the west end of the asakusa line. this line connects to haneda airport, narita airport, and goes by the center of the city, and through the downtown area of asakusa, thus making it convenient for travelers. for me, it was the price and ease to get to the hotel.
NICE LOCATION AND EASY TO FIND
comfortable but tiny room”
it was good overall , you just need time to get used to the location as it is not in the city .
Best price possible”
I've been here before and I still select this hotel for best budget possible. Overall is not bad.
Small rooms but right next to subway station”
Bad Service , not welcome staffs”
Very Stickly on Checking Time at 3PM AND Check out 10AM
just 5 meters from the station entrance. I love all of the staff, housekeeping 5 stars. Strongly recommended
this hotel has very good location, just 5 meters from the station. they clean my room every day, and they always change the used towel with the fresh one. Perfect. strongly recommended.
A good budget hotel for stays over a week.”
It was just the right thing we needed this time: easy access to transportation and budget meals, clean rooms at budget prices.
Service from staffs are appreciated when requested”
nice but small room”
Nice location, so close to Jr magome station, and the hotel staff are so nice, english h is ok, nice experience in this hotel.
The hotel is at good location with fair price. The room is tidy but not bright. The washroom is small as usual. There is fast wifi in the lobby.
Near to JR Ikebukuro Station”
Good for budget traveler. Near to JR Ikebukuro Station and the room rate is cheap with quite spacious room.
Nice and clean quiet place. Comfortable bed. try to introduce Tv news channels like CNn, BBc.
the room was comfortable and clean, very close from the subway, very convenient
lovely hotel with friendly service but rooms small”
great location, friendly service, clean. rooms a bit on the small size.
Nice hotel with facilities”
Ichiban, great! Very nice, for budget travellers and convinience to train station and mini mart. Values for money.
Value for money ”
Basic amenities only but is considerably comfortable and satisfactory for the price paid.
very close to magome Station! very convenince to travel! just get off the Magome station exit no3 and turn your face to lift you will find Tokyo inn!! i love it!
hotel is on very convenient location, just above of magome station and on ground floor there is good restaurant "cocos" to enjoy good breakfast, lunch/dinner.
Easy to find, not bad accomendations”
The place was really good for where it was located. Easy to find. and the service was just fine.
Cheap hotel near to train station? This is the one.”
Very close to Magome Train Station. The room is very small (for small double bed room), you even get difficult to put your luggage.
Just for a night ”
It's just ok
Staff can't speak English”
Comfortable, room is small but nice
Tokyo inn Magome review”
Toilets seating were cramped, away from JR lines, unnecessary things like wooden bamboo for foot massage etc were taking away spaces..... Ask hotel staff to stay & see for them self.
Nice hotel off the beaten path”
good location,friendly staff,nice room,good”
Good; pleasant;nice;very good
