Family living in Tokyo”
We have lived in Tokyo for 4 years. But the area is not good for travelers unless they plan to have nothing around, and that means restaurants too. On Sunday, forget eating outside the hotel. Any day in fact.
We enjoyed our stay in Tokyo Prince Hotel. The room was spacious and very clean. What we loved the most was the smoking area which had seats and the lawson store in the basement. Thank you Tokyo Prince. We will come back.
Staycation in Tokyo”
This was a terrible experience, mainly due to the treatment I received from the staff. I had requested a double bed and they had booked two singles. I asked to be switched to what I requested and they said they were booked and could not. Then they made horrible jokes that I could ask the large group of tourists next to me to switch. Overall, not worth the money and never going back. Also their staff is terrified to speak English, and so don’t, and avoid it at all costs. They had me wait in line so someone else could speak to me in English to check in. But then was forced to wait on me because three large groups piled up behind me. They made what should have been a relaxing vacation, into a crazy and extremely stressful and upsetting experience. and the rooms were so OLD!! No modern conveniences. I thought my room was going to catch fire when I kept hearing sizzling coming from my plugged in phone to charge. Don’t book here EVER.
everything you need in a good location”
I've had a real spacious and quite room in the upper floor, breakfast was sumptous, club lounge was in my eyes a bit too poor. One thing I did absolutely not like was the very loud and annoying music in the breakfast room. You have dozens of people talking and on top this... but overall a nice experience and would choose the hotel again
We were travelling on our honeymoon and got a room facing the Tokyo Tower. On the day that we were there, the lights were in 'Diamond Veil' formation from sunset until 10pm, after which, it changed to its normal winter lighting of orange. Our room had access to the club lounge and the food was delicious. We also had a personal welcoming from the staff which said: Congratulations on your wedding, and a pack of delicious biscuits from their hotel bakery. Thank you for personalizing our stay here. We loved the view and room
A very nice experience.”
The hotel is newly renovated and the staff are very friendly. There is also a convenience store in the building. The Tokyo Tower is just around the corner. Though you have to take a 10-minute walk to the nearest subway station.
Big rooms but dated”
The rooms were big and bed but the furniture is dated possibly not revamped since the hotel opened 50 yrs age. Air con was ineffective so had to open the window, that meant sunlight in at dawn and as our room was overlooking the delivery area it was noisy. Otherwise a great stay
Good hotel in great locale”
An aging hotel but in a great location. Staff efficient and helpful as always. Lawsons in bottom of the hotel providing a cheap snack option to the many restaurants in the hotel. Price OK. Good sized room. Would stay again.
a bit disappointing”
stayed 3 nights, dust is always left after housekeeping. got an upper floor room, but it was very noisy at night. ventilation was not good enough. couldn't get first-aid medicine. the convenient store in the building was very useful and liked the location though.
The location is good and nice staff”
my family was assigned in rm no. 821 but the aiconditioning system is not working, it was 25-26 degrees, the thermostat is not working,The staff checked and cleaned the filter of the aircon but still the temperature is the same considering it is summer and it is too hot for 26degrees room temperature. This hotel is considered as one of the excellent hotel in Tokyo but they didn’t check first the room facilities is its really working, a little bit disappointed.
Very expensive hotel, not worth ”
Safety box is very old system, difficult to use, old furniture, old hotel, very very very small bathroom. If you want to visit swimming pool, you have to pay 2000 Yen for entrance fee. Otherwise you can not enter. There was information laundromat available in hotel.after checked in , they told they don’t have . They have only laundry service . So we complain either provide in hotel or delete in your advertisement in website. They deleted. All the staff English very poor. Simple thing they can not understand you. Also we recommend this hotel everyone, hotel is very clean, bed is very comfortable, staff helpful. Location is ok, service is ok.
its in center of key business places of Tokyo. Ginza, Roppongi, are both in 10minutes by cab. Access from airport-wise, from Narita, just to go Tokyo station and again 10minutes by cab. also from haneda, just come to Shinagawa or Hamamatsu cho and also about 10 minutes. they even has free shuttle to Hamamatsu cho where has direct monorail to Haneda. its by the park so view from the room is not blocked by other buildings. all room can see blue sky. its quite rare in Tokyo. Only this hotel or Prince Tokyo Park Tower has in Tokyo. Its base structure built quite a while ago. so its spacious than other hotels. Its surely more than value for money.
The hotel was in excellent condition and the staff was super friendly even for a non-japanese speaker like myself.
should classify the room as Tower View or Garden View
Good location. staff don't speak English ”
Good location next to Tokyo tower. Staff don't speak English. Rooms was clean. Bathroom dirty. Can be improved by in facilities.
I love this place ”
Old fashioned Hotel, nice staff. Quiet, no room service but plenty of places to eat in the building including convenience store. Comfortable. Nice room
I am not sure how the hotel can advertise a swimming pool and then charge guests to use it.
Attitude of one of the staff spoilt the whole experience for us”
I won't say all the staff were unfriendly. That would be very unreasonable. But one of the staff did spoilt the whole image for us. We decided to be there for new year eve count down. upon arriving in a cab with 3 huge luggage's, I caught eye contact with a bell boy when my cab was about to stop. Not only did he not tend to us, he went back inside. I was standing at the hotel arrival area for a good 1-2 min without anyone helping me with the luggages. I went inside to see that he was standing around doing nothing. I asked if he could help and he reluctantly helped with a frown. I can't speak japanese so body language pretty much says it all for me. He wasn't pleased. if that wasn't enough, he loaded our luggage on the trolley very carelessly. I asked if he could be more careful. He answer "what?" with a frown on his face. i still tipped him none the less. But that really was uncalled for. Cleanliness was good. Location made for shopping. Good for get away or honeymoon,
Avoid the breakfast, not worth it, other then that, a very nice hotel ”
If not for the breakfast, would have given a higher feedback ! Hotel is very old, but they keep it nice. The delax rooms are very comfortable and nice size. Lobby is beautiful and location is so so... not much at all of dining options around the hotel. Was surprised at the low quality of the breakfast. After that experience, did not want to try any of the other restaurants in the hotel. Plenty of food in the breakfast, but nothing really is good. All cheap ingredients, basically same breakfast quality as any cheap business hotel in Tokyo. Buy a 500 yen breakfast in a convenience store, believe me, much tastier.
Dated but still has its charm! ”
I had a room with possibly the closest view of Tokyo Tower. The hotel is a little dated but it has old charm. The staff were friendly and competent. My flight landed quite early in the morning and they let me check in early. The downsides: - Far from the metro and train stations. It is at least 10 - 15 min walk. Not easy if you have big suitcases. - The hotel pool is not free though I believe hotel guests get discounts.
