The best onsen ever”
I booked for the hill view, surprisingly it got the lake view, so happy and the 8th floor onsen are the best onsen ever in my whole life!!! Onsen with spectacular lake view!
Hotel is really old plus superb small toilet”
Room is huge as this is really old hotel to start with. However, with such a huge bedroom size, the toilet is really too small and im really curious how can a bigger size person fit in. View is good but then as there is no fireworks to the period I am staying, its really disappointing. Food is good, but again as I check in very late and only few hours there, i feel i should spend at a much cheaper hotel nearby.
The staffs provides warm honey lemon tea and hot spring soft boiled eggs in the lobby which is quite a nice treat. They are within 1 min walk to the Onsen bus line stop but it's off the heart of Onsen Street which is nice and not so crowded. The lake view room is gorgeous. The hot spring view is awesome but they switch men/women's Onsen between the one on the roof top and the one in the basement so the night/day vie could be quite different.
Hotel with nice view”
Pros - Nice lake view from room and onsen. - Nice and big restaurant. - Room considered spacious. Cons - Wifi only available in Lobby(as of Jan 2019). - Food at buffet dinner just ok. - Very small toilet.
NOT RECOMMENDED!! OLD bedroom!!”
Inside the bedroom was really really old and NOTHING look clean... cheated by the photo that posted at Agoda. Disappointed about the room. Sounds from corridor heard clearly and cannot sleep well because of the sounds.. BAD! NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!!
Party hotel - very noisy. Wouldn't recommend if you like a quiet night's sleep.”
Large party group along the corridor. Very noisy guests who continued their entertainment after the group dinner (held in a function room on the corridor) in individual rooms - with the doors open. The noise echoed along the entire corridor. The group was quieter after we complained to them, but started again at 1.30am. Queues for every meal, despite it being a buffet. Room was comfortable & meals offer good variety.
breakfast n dinner taste normal. stayed japanese western. spacious for 2pax. clean room n toilet. nice view. onsen not bad. only cons is that this hotel too many ppl. even midnight there are so many ppl at the onsens
Great place to stay in Lake Toya”
The hotel is under renovation. You might get the old room or upgraded room. The public bath on the top floor is the best !!!
I can see firework!”
Nice and spacious room. Can even see fireworks which Im not expecting since is winter...
์No impressed, Old room, Not hospitality”
We stayed in this hotel as friend groups and I wrote e-mail to them for bus service to pick up us at JR Toya station but they kept quiet. No response. We tried to contact via agoda and their e-mail. Receptionist was not hospitality, not helpful. It is old hotel. This hotel has no non-smoking room. It's useless to request non-smoking room. Because their receptionist told directly me that their hotel is smoking room in every room. So they can do deororant spray before you enter into room. If you would like to have new room, you should stay in western style room.
A bit old but with a charm”
We stayed at the main block with big room. Super attentive. The moment we drove into the lobby, we were warmly welcomed. Unload the baggage and told us where to park the car. With two meals provided, this price is reasonable. Nice fireworks nightly. Took the ferry to island and hike in the park. Visited the crater at Usuzan too. 1000 JPY for 5 min viewing and picture was kind of expensive.
Everything is good, except the service”
The facilities is good in the hotel. The ice cream was tasty. Hotel is easy to access. We were 3 people. Hotel also checked the record and knew we booked for 3. But they arranged everything for 2, 2 beds, 2 cups, 2 welcome gifts, 2 sets of Japanese clothes... We told them twice in reception for that in order for arranging for 3. Finally, we got 3 people things at night after we returned from fireworks and that was around 9:30pm.
Hotel good and comfortable, next time will choose again.
Nice Crab Buffet !!”
Buffet was good but a room and hallway smells really bad for non-smoking people.
Great breakfast and dinner!”
This was more like an resort for me, fantastic food, served nice buffet style breakfast and dinner. Room was huge and well decorated, scenery was perfect to overlook the whole Lake Toya. Only cons was lack of transportation options, and also abit pricey.
Value for Money”
The hotel room is clean and comfort. Foods and breakfast are good with variety of choices. Hotel's Onsen also remarkable and free of charges. Suggest to take / book room with include breakfast and dinner. Value for money in overall.
It's a bit pricey, BUT value for money!!”
Our room includes a dinner & breakfast! The buffet dinner was superb! We enjoyed the foods so much! Also, there were Chinese speaking staff, so made life easier to any Chinese speaking tourists! The breakfast is great too! Night time the ONSEN was in Basement, there is an outdoor onsen! It's great especially the winter! In the morning, the ONSEN is on the 8th floor, and it's facing to the LAKE TOYA! It's so beautiful and awesome! Love it! The room was big and spacious! We really enjoy our stay and it's definitely VALUE FOR MONEY!! A highly recommended one!!!
Pleasant, relaxing stay beside Lake Toya”
Although the room is bit old, but very spacious and comfortable. The view of Lake Toya outside the window is awesome. Free transfer to Sapporo via bus is available, which is another advantage, though, it depends on availability and require early arrangement (or just luck to have empty seats when the bus is not full)
Friendly and english speaking staff”
The staff are extremely warm and helpful. One particular staff speaks very good English. The hotel looks a little dated, bathroom is very small - a bit smaller than the usual tiny bathrooms in Japan. Good quality breakfast, the restaurant has a high ceiling with glass wall with a view of the lake.
A hotel with standard facility (room is spacious) and perfect lake view. But the buffet(Breakfast and Dinner) need improvement compare with other Spa type resorts I ever stayed and also the price the charge for boarding.
