Exceptional!”
When traveling I always seek out unique experiences. Ma Maison turned out to be a real find! It is located in district 10, about 20 mins from the airport, 15 mins from old center of Ho Chi Minh City. Instead of staying at a typical tourist hotel where most surroundings are somewhat sterile, Ma Maison is embedded in an area where locals live. But it is an oasis with calm energy and quiet nights. Step out from the hotel and you are in the middle of everyday Saigon, such a bustling and high energy city! I was there at night and day and felt 100% safe all the time. The third generation owners converted the building from a residence to a hotel and serve as the best hosts I have ever met on my travels. I feel I welcome as a part of their family and the service was impeccable! The owner was the General Manager at Rex, most famous hotel in the city, and has used his experience to create something very special. Subtle, friendly, soft energy, a haven to retreat to after an intense day in HCMC!

A Beautiful Oasis”
i booked this hotel for a little bit of paris in saigon for my mothers 60th birthday. she was a little nervous when we were driving out there as it is a little bit out of the main hub and tourist areas of ho chi minh. however when we arrived we were all blown away but it's charm. a little jewel in nestled in a local neighbourhood. the moment we walked in door we were greeted, seated and given a delicious welcome drink. the staff were unbelievably accommodating and generous. the even ordered a cake and sang happy birthday to my mum! the hotel it self is beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable. i just wish we could of stayed longer! highly recommend ma maison, it is a little out of town however taxi rides are cheap and it's a great opportunity to see another district of saigon.

“More than a boutique hotel...” ”
we were surprised that the hotel was situated in a back alley. but after a short walk past a few local homes, we found ma maison and stepping into ma maison was like stepping into the home of a close friend as we were warmly greeted by natasha - the owner of the hotel. we were ushered into the cafe-reception area of this quaint little hotel-home, where we were served with fresh, icy cold passionfruit juice while checking-in. natasha promptly settled our check-in and planned a day tour for us around hcm city since we were only there for a day. it is so rare to be greeted with such hospitality these days. our room was absolutely lovely and so clean you've got to book a stay here to see it for yourself. we stayed in the deluxe room and it definitely provided me with a restful, peaceful night's sleep away from the bustle of hcm city. one thing to note though, there are no elevators in this little hotel so be prepared to climb 4 floors up to the deluxe room. but the room is worth every bit of energy you put into climbing those stairs. make sure you start your day with the breakfast they serve at the cafe. there's a choice of vietnamese or european breakfast. we had the vietnamese breakfast and both the noodles (can't remember the exact names of the noodles but the seafood noodle was a saigon dish and the beef noodle was a central vietnam dish as we were told by natasha's uncle) we had were the best we had in vietnam so far. the additional baguette we were kindly offered had a thin n crispy skin and light and fluffy on the inside. yum!

Lovely boutique hotel”
We stayed at Ma Maison for a couple of nights, having arrived in Saigon for the first time. It is a beautiful hotel away from the chaos of the city and the hotel managers couldn't have been more helpful. We were so pleased we booked into Ma Maison rather than one of the bigger, more impersonal hotels in the centre. We were only a 15 minute taxi ride from District 1 - so very easy access, yet it was great to come back to the calm of Ma Maison. I highly recommend this hotel.

Fantastic!”
We stayed here for three nights during out trip to Vietnam in a Signature room. This hotel is just lovely, it is immaculately clean and beautifully decorated and furnished. The breakfast is delicious and the people are unbelievable hospitable and helpful - I can't praise them enough, as they really made our time in HCMC easy and enjoyable. Ma Maison is situated in district 3, which is more of a local residential area. The hotel itself is accessed down an alley, which is off a side street, which is itself off the main road. When we were dropped off by a local taxi from the airport he couldn't find it, so we were a little concerned that we had been stranded in the middle of nowhere. However after a bit of sign language with a local shop keeping we realised we were very close to the hotel and found it without a problem - all the locals will point you in the right direction. It was really interesting staying in district 3, as it gives you a real taste of what it is like in a residential area, with the local shops and numerous street food vendors. It is easy to get into the centre on a local bus (which is only 5000 dong p/p) and takes about 15/20 mins.

Beautiful relaxing boutique hotel just o/s city”
My wife and I stayed initially for two nights near the end of our 3 week trip touring the wonderful Vietnam. We booked following a recommendation from the owner, Natasha's, father Long Thang, who we met in Nha Trang at his gallery. He is a famous Vietnamese photographer. We weren't disappointed. It is a beautiful boutique hotel set in District 3 which is about a 20 minute cab ride from the main District 1. The rooms are spotless and modern. The staff are so helpful. It is reasonably expensive by Vietnamese standards but worth it for an oasis of luxury in a mad city! We booked a 1 night trip to the Mekong River while there then returned for our final night. We also did the Cu Chi tunnels. Natasha helped with these bookings along with other advice and help with the buses. We felt comfortable there throughout. It is outside the main area but cabs are around 100000VND and a bus 50000!! We used both. It wasn't an issue for us. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Loved this place”
This was a little hidden gem. We loved our stay. The hotel was so clean you could eat off the floor. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were so friendly and we could ask lots of questions and learn more about Ho Chi Minh. The location was very authentic, we stayed in district 1 initially but we preferred dictrict 3 as it's less touristy and much cheaper. The hotel thought of every single little detail it had the service of a 5 star place. If I ever come back to this city I would stay here again.

Lovely hotel with outstanding service.”
I can't say enough about this hotel. It is truly an oasis in a crazy city. We were very well taken care of by Tasha and the staff at Ma Maison. They made sure we had everything we needed. They were flexible and accommodating as our itinerary changed. I have never been treated so well in a hotel. I HIGHLY recommend this wonderful place. If you want to be surrounded by big name hotels and fancy stores, this is not the place for you. It is off the beaten path, so you really get a feel for life in Saigon. A $5 cab ride gets you to District 1 and it is a quick ride to the airport.

Fantastic Boutique Hotel”
The Ma Maison is a wonderful example of a boutique hotel. It is located down a classic Saigon alley, close to the main road through district 3. The breakfast was great and the staff fantastic. Our room was spacious and well appointed and very clean.

adorable, charming and friendly B&B in D3 HCMC”
My sister and I stayed at Ma Maison on a recent trip to Ho Chi Minh City. The staff was so accommodating and sweet. We would both highly recommend a stay here while in Vietnam. The breakfast is included and was very authentic and the dining area is adorable.

Friendly Service - nice decor, clean and helpful!”
Our package comes with only 3 nights hotel stay in Sheraton and after reading a few reviews we decided to stay at ma Maison. I must admitted the location was a bit out of the way so if your activities are mainly in downtown, it may not be the most convenience, location is also a bit obscure and taxi cannot access the small ally but it doesn't take long for us to find it and the local people is very friendly and they helped! However it really makes our first night enjoyable and being in HcMC for the first time it helps to have some useful tips as the city can get a bit crazy for foreignerS. It was a great stay albeit short! Highly recommend if you want to get away from the busy district 1 and have some local favor!

The perfect oasis for a visit to Saigon”
This was one of our favorite trips ever, in large part because of Natasha and her uncle who own and run Ma Maison. This used to be their home and they treat you more as a house guest than just a tenant. They arranged cabs, tours and made recommendations that were all spot on. They greated us with passion fruit juice when we arrived and every morning after. As noted by others, the location was off the main street down several narrow alleys. We actually loved this since it felt like our own secret oasis. The hotel (really a B&B) felt peaceful and calm even 200 feet from the chaos that is Saigon traffic. Though he won't offer it unless asked, Natasha's uncle had fascinating and poignant stories of Saigon and Vietnam before and since the war. They were the consumate gracious hosts and always offered us an escort to be sure we found our way out the the main street. They even had someone come with us to hail a taxi when we needed one - word to the wise, only go with Vinasun or Mai Linh taxis. Even without our "personal escort", we never felt unsafe in the area. We were sad to leave and only hope we'll have the chance to return there some day.

Adorable boutique hotel with amazing service ”
Ma Maison is located well outside of the tourist district, there are no white people around for several km. personally, we really enjoyed this aspect, but it might dissuade some who want a more convenient jumping off point for sightseeing. The staff is amazing and so helpful and friendly and cheerful. They arranged taxis and dinners and stuff for us. Definitely take their recommendations for dinner. The breakfast is wonderful, but also huge. Theres no fridge or minibar in the rooms but you can order unlimited complimentary beverages from the kitchen downstairs. It's in a colonial house which is really charming. Rooms are relatively comfortable and the overall atmosphere is very calm. A welcome respite from the frenzy of the streets. Local residents are friendly as well and will smile and wave and are happy to be in pictures, although at first they might seem wary of foreigners. Highly recommend Ma Maison and would definitely stay here again!!

Wonderful Boutique Hotel & Excellent Service”
We only stayed at Ma Maison Boutique Hotel for one night, but the service was top shelf, as well as the food. The room was very clean and well maintained, but WiFi was not very strong in the room (so we resorted to using WiFi in the lobby). As mentioned, the food was outstanding, and service was excellent. We would stay here again for a longer period, but we were on our way to Hanoi, so only used this hotel for one night. Highly recommended.

A delightful home away from home”
I had a read about Ma Maison online through various websites and I was not disappointed even one bit when I arrived there. The approach to the hotel throws you off a bit, but the beauty of staying in a quite residential neighbourhood of this otherwise noisy and chaotic city is quite something. To wake up to the calls of local hawkers in the mornings, to enjoying some old music playing at the house next door, the chatter of school kids returning home; these were the small unforgettable bits of my stay at this lovely hotel that made it so much more special. On the operations front, I couldn't find a single fault having worked with in the luxury hospitality space for over 15 years. My experience at Ma Maison has made me realise that this is new breed of hotels providing "personalised luxury" that I would choose to stay at, always.

Perfect boutique hotel, exceptional service!”
We stayed here for 2 nights in the deluxe room and we really cannot fault this perfect little hotel. Set in District 3 but not far from District 1 - taxi rides are cheap, about between 80,000 - 100,000 VND. We also used their hotel pick up service and the driver was waiting at the airport for us and took us to the hotel. It is set off in a little alley and you get an insight of how locals live, which we really appreciated. The building itself is beautiful and everything inside is gorgeous. We cannot thank Natascha and Ha enough for their kindness, expertise knowledge and just amazing hospitality. They truly understand how to look after their guests. Our deluxe room was just lovely with the most comfortable king-size bed and the room was so spacious with nice furniture and cute balcony. Their breakfast was delicious - normally served between 7am - 10am but we had to get up at 6am to go on a boat trip and they arranged for us to have a 'light' breakfast at 6.30am consisting of their delicious baguettes and perfect coffee. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them. We heard about how amazing their beef pho was and it certainly lived up to its reputation. The spicy version is also delicious. Had numerous cups of Vietnamese coffee, hot and iced! So good. This hotel is probably more expensive than other hotels you could stay at in Saigon but it is worth every penny. Really a gem of a hotel and only wish we could have stayed here longer.

Beautiful hotel, very good service”
I stayed first in the city center, but wanted something else. Ma Maison IS something else. If you look for local neighborhood, beautifull hotel, exellent service and breakfast, this is for you. I was able to have good vietnamese coffee in my room any time, they helped with any questions. It was not in the center, but not too far, and it is very easy to use the bus, which is cheap and convinient. I recommend Ma Maison to all who are interested in the local culture and people. Local people are very freindly, and this hotel gives a chance to meet them. I felt very much like home, because of the loveliness of the hotel.

Super stoked!”
Very personable staff, room was great, food was great too! Some previous reviews mentioned the location as an issue. Ma Maison is away from the city center but there are bus lines that are direct for only 5000 dong and of course the staff will get taxi if you want. There is a great park close by with wondefful local restaurants and hangout spots! We didn't see any tourists in the neighborhood while we were there! Ma Maison is a great place, especially for those travelers who want to get a more local stay!

Petite' establishment with a Grand sincerity”
Tucked subtly in the busy District 3 HCMC, this charming little establishment proves that good things do come in small packages. Well maintained with a heartfelt staff, really takes you away from the chaotic mess of motorcycles and cars just 5 minutes away by foot. Our stay was brief but most definitely memorable, arriving pretty late on the first night, the warm staffs was very helpful on referring us to restaurants and places to visit around town. Plus the cheek churning sour passion fruit they served us with was very refreshing. Room space was much sufficient and it was thoroughly cleant on our arrival. We were delighted with the room upgrade on our last night at HCMC. Gorgeous. Ohh not to forget to mention, Ma Maison serves the best pho' we've tasted across Mui Ne, Phu Quoc and the ones we've tasted around HCMC.

A real treat”
Ended my eight weeks in Vietnam with three nights at this classy, stylish hotel. The French provincial decorated hotel was immaculate; breakfast was gourmet; and coffee, tea and a beautifully refreshing passion fruit drink were always available. The corridors and rooms display the owner's father's award winning black & white photographs, adding even more prestige to this beautiful, boutique hotel. Well done Ma Maison, and thank you to everyone - you made my stay very, very special.
