Caring hotel, classy neighbourhood ”
The reception and operational staffs were very caring and accommodating. We were given the opportunity to check the available room options for our preferred views. The overall check-in process was efficient noneteheless. The room and the facilities were very clean with fresh ambiance. Good Wifi and comfortable bed. The kitchen and coking amenities are an extremely useful given we could easily did the grocery at the Metro/Woolworth across the street. Located in the beautiful, serene, classy and friendly Potts Point neighbourhood, the hotel is within walking distance to Circular Quay. It cost quite reasonably to reach Sydney attraction spots via taxi (we are a family of four including two children) from the hotel. Our family had a wonderful experience in Sydney which nonetheless contributed with the excellent experience in staying in Macleay. Our sincere appreciation to Paolo, Cyrus and the rest of the Macleay staffs. We definitely look forward to staying again at Macleay Hotel.

Comfortable and Convenient”
From the first greeting when we checked in, we knew The Macleay was going to be a good experience. The room was clean and the décor was crisp and fresh. We had everything we needed--fridge, dishes, utensils--as well as the basics of a regular hotel room. We loved seeing the Sydney Opera House and the Harbor Bridge from the window when we woke up and went to sleep. We were greeted each day and the hotel staff was very helpful with booking tours and giving directions when we needed them, especially Paolo. The hotel was walking distance to the train (metro) station and most places we wanted to go were just one or two stops away. As two women, we felt safe in the neighborhood. The only annoying thing was the wifi connection. Although free, you had to log into it several times a day and go through two screens. Seems that could be easier. But, I wouldn't let this little detail stop me from staying at The Macleay. We highly recommend it!!

Exceptional”
This place served us perfectly. Great location near Kings cross station and bus stop to the city almost across the road.Woolworth supermarket is also just across the road so it so convenient for buying snacks or food for cooking. Loads of places also to eat nearby at affordable prices. We sometimes ate out and sometimes cooked our own meals as the room has ample cooking facilities.The room was not that big but with a bit of organizing we soon created enough space to make us feel comfortable. The bed and pillows are quite soft but not too soft and gave a perfect nights rest and even though we had a front room on the fourth floor there was very little noise,certainly not enough to disturb sleeping.The staff at the front desk and room service were also very friendly and helpful and made us feel genuinely very welcome. We had a very enjoyable stay at the Macleay serviced apartments and will certainly stay there again on our next visit to Sydney

Third Visit”
We have visited Sydney three times and have stayed at the Macleay all three times because of their staff. They will help you with anything! The hotel is located across the street from a grocery store. It is a fifteen minute walk to the ferries or you can ride the bus which stops by the hotel. The view from the seventh floor is beautiful.

Great location, & overall family hotel.”
We opted for Macleay Serviced Apartments specifically for its combination of good location, views, and value for money. The pleasant surprise we received was the very professional & compassionate staff customer service that we received as well. Since we had an elderly mother on the trip who was unable to do much sightseeing with us, the request for a room with harbour views, instead of the district ones was granted. As she was confined indoors for the greater part of the trip, this did help her a great deal in passing her time. The reception staff doubled as concierge's as well which was great.

Convenient Potts Point Location”
We were able to check in early (fantastic when you've just come in on an early morning trans-Pacific flight). It was lovely having the little kitchenette and a grocery store right across the street - I don't like having to find a restaurant for breakfast. The room was cozy, but that was balanced by being affordable. We could see the Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House from our window. Potts Point is a nice neighborhood, with an easy walk down into Woolloomooloo and through the Botanic Gardens over into the CBD.

The Macleay Hotel has been tastefully refurbished and has everything you need: comfortable bed, good wifi, good air-con, iron and ironing board in the room. It's also in a great location with many restaurants and cafes at your doorstep plus a supermarket across the road. Excellent!

Fabulous Location”
The Macleay Hotel is perfect for our Sydney visits to see the performances at the Hayes Theatre. The restaurants in the area are top class, and is a good distance from the train station and the city centre. All walkable distances.

Relatively cheap for Sydney, spartan yet comfy”
While staying for an extra day after a business trip to explore Sydney, I didn't want to spend a fortune in the overpriced hotels in Sydney. Macleay was a nice compromise for location, price, and value. Room size was decent, bathroom was clean but not new. Proximity to Kings Cross is definitely a plus however it still requires a 5~7 minute walk: whether it is to explore the nightlife and restaurants, or just catching the subway.

We always stay here when in Sydney. Great harbour views, lots of space. Recent renovations and so close to great cafes in Potts Point, Kings Cross and Darlinghurst. Just across the road from Zinc, Fratteti Fresh and other great food spots as well as the supermarket.

Great Spot for a Hotel”
This hotel is tucked away in a great spot. There are lots of eating places close by and Woolworths supermarket is just across the road. Kings Cross Station is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House are within walking distance - a leisurely and interesting 30 to 45 minute walk. The staff at the hotel (especially Cyrus) were very helpful and friendly. They made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. We definitely recommend this hotel and will most certainly stay here again if we're in Sydney.

It's near a train station (a few minutes walk to Kings Cross). There's a Woolsworth adjacent to the hotel so you'll never go hungry. Just pop food in the microwave oven or fridge in your room! Thanks, Macleay Hotel, for a great experience!

Perfect Position”
A previously undiscovered gem in Potts Point. Great location - the most perfect views with sunrises to marvel at. A very comfortable clean room with all facilities. Everything in walking distance around. For sure we will be back and referring to friends. Best rooms for best harbor views 303, 403, 503, 603, 703, 803, 903 the higher the better :)
