Not good location but shuttle”
The breakfast is so good. Swimming pool is not good for swimming. The room is very clean. The shower room is good as well. There's smirking area in the yard where eat meals. There's a bar, so prohibit bringing any achol to there.

Worst hostel ever ”
1. Door looks don't work properly. 2. Very dirty. 3. You don't even get a normal towel. 4. No place in the room to store your stuff. I makes you feel unsafe. 5. Tiny rooms. 6. Only few toilets and showers, you will have to wait for ever. Also no area to put down your stuff and get ready withouts annoying other people. 7. In the kitchen hostel doesn't have simple stuff as pepper, salt and oil to use. 8. Everything old and run down, pool dirty. No lounge area besides the tables downstairs.

so this place is formally know as njoy but now mad monkey village and is partly finished thru a massive renovation . Dont let reviews of people saying it noisy in day and lools like a buildibg site !! it not that bad ..but your most likey to be pit in newly renovated part hostel which is Literally brand new with memeory foam pillow and matress SUPER COMFY PLUS AC i stayed her for 2 night that turned into 10 days as i mean breafast is pancakes, juice, toast.cerial, james, fruit, youghurt...you can eat till you POP!!!. Hostel is very clean !!!, infact so new that it smells it 🤣, there is VERY FAST wifi through out hotel can easy stream movies and download with zero issues. Hostel throw i think 2 bbq family meal night which is bbq and tasty ...they def not cheap when comes to food ...staff are cute and pleasant . i got say value for money and faculity this place is a no brainer !! yes it 20 min walk to town BUT THEY PROVIDE A HOURLY SHUTTLE ! ...come on. con : as much as this place new and comfy and value for money it does lack atmosphere or when i was there thats my only grief with ! there is bar crawl night but overall it more chill out and relax place.

Great Value Place ”
Stayed at Njoy because all the big hotels were full, but will go back to Njoy next time I'm in Cairns. The staff were very helpful, polite and friendly, taking time to explain everything. The room was clean and the whole place had a nice laid back atmosphere. Recommended.

Very Good Backpacker”
Njoy is a very good backpacker. The price is so good. It provided transpiration and you can't imagine free dinner as well. The location is 15 mins walk to ferry but you can use the provided transportation around 30 mins interval. The staff are nice and provide good service. Overall, I recommend backpackers to go. One more point, coffee and tea are free.

The hostel is 15 minutes away from the city center on foot. They have free shuttle bus from / to the city center and to the airport, and it is very convenient. They also offer free dinner. The hostel is good value of money for young travelers and backpackers. We enjoyed our stay in the hostel

Average backpackers”
i choose to stay here for one night after a liveaboard dive trip to the great barrier reef. i picked this hostel mainly for the free airport shuttle. although there are only 5 shuttles, and i had to leave quite early before my flight, i did save quite a bit by using the shuttle. the beds were clean but the room could use some cleaning. it also smelt a little funny. the night was generally quite peaceful, though it got a little noisy due to euro 2012. perfectly understandable. not the most convenient as it is 10mins walk from cairns city centre.

Good value, large room, sink, fridge”
Njoy is located in a great spot - not right in the city but just outside it (10 mins walk) - however it is located on the main road, which is quite busy. The place is built like a jail with cells, however the cells are huge and space to me is valuable. The double rooms include heaps of hooks to hang your clothes etc, a table with 2 chairs, a double bed, a fridge and vanity with sink. There is a decent sized double window however ours opened up to the main social area and we had no privacy when open. The hostel has a pool, kitchen, pool table, movie played every night, tours bookings, they also give you a free dinner ticket every day for the Woolshed, however a lot of accommodation seems to have this same deal. The downside is that music (same songs) is played from 9:30 in the morning till about 10:30 at night so if you are here to work the music can turn your thoughts to those of murder in the morning.

Horrible staff, great facilities”
Staff were incompetent - nobody was responsible or accountable. One night a person entered our private room at 4am because one of the staff members gave them the wrong key. A few nights were sleepless because of the amount of noise that guests were making in the common area. This occurred even after informing staff about the noise. The room was only cleaned once out of 8 nights even though we were told it was going to be cleaned every day. The facilities were good. Everything was very clean and the shuttle bus was great. Wouldn’t recommend if you are going to Cairns for the activities. More of a place to party.

"Perfect hostel for backpackers, cheap and quiet"”
I stayed there for a week. The hostel was really good for the price that you pay. Only $15 per night and you get a free dinner voucher everyday in one of the bars at the city center. The shuttle bus was a plus, however sometimes it doesn't arrive at the hour that the timetable indicate. If you want to walk to the city center its about 10-15mins.

Njoy hostel”
I wasn't in the hostel much due to being on trips throughout the day, but it was easy to walk or use the bus provided to get into town and they provided free evening meal tokens at one of the local bars. The room was adequate and the staff on reception were really helpful when organizing airport transfers and had good knowledge of which trips to go on.

Great helpful service”
This was my first time at a backbackers hostel and I was very impressed. I didn't need to use the kitchen but it looked clean and tidy. The room was basic but comfortable and there was a small fridge in it which was very useful.The staff were really helpful and cheerful. I was impressed by the availability of transport to take people to the airport or as in my case the railway station. I was surprised about the lack of loud noises at night! It was a good experience and I will consider using hostels again when travelling if they are all as good as NJoy
