Stay at mad monkey was incredible but unfortunately cut short. Still had a great time and facilities were actually really good now! Read reviews that they weren’t but for us they were great! Also shoutout to Robbert Killian and jayjay!

Really enjoyed my stay in mad monkey, the dorms were very clean and spacious. The reps Killian and Manuel were very friendly and got the whole hostel going throughout the day and night time.

Good place to meet fellow tourists”
I would recommend this place for solo travellers because it is a nice place to meet tons of good people and make friends with them. Otherwise I would advice to look for other places where it could give more value to your money. At 20USD, you can already find a decent private double bedroom in Siargao. Their staff is very nice and they would offer free drinks every night before the start of daily games and activities. Their food is amazing also and their bed is surprisingly comfortable. It is also walking distance to Cloud 9. What I didnt like: 1. I found a rat crawling on my bed so they were kind enough to transfer me to another room 2. There were flies all over the restobar which is kinda stressful when you are eating 3. They have serious water problem and they need to fix it. Their shower is not working most of the time when I was there. 4. Intermittent wifi connection and totally no connection inside the dormitory room 5. Need to clean the toilet more often everyday

Hostel has a great atmosphere, great for meeting people and Killian was fantastic. Beds are also super comfy and is in a good location for cloud 9 beach. However, the bathrooms are a disaster; the water smells like urine, the water pressure is terrible and the toilets are often blocked. The rooms, tours and drinks are also overpriced and the WiFi rarely works

The best hostel on the island!”
I was supposed to stay here for a few nights and ended up extending seven times, staying for a total of two and a half weeks. If that doesn't say enough about this, I don't know what will. The great atmosphere is palpable from the moment you walk in. I've not had such a good time in a hostel anywhere else in the world. The party gets going and you can see everyone is having an amazing time, and if you're not the reps Manuel Cillian and Robbert are sure to change that! They will turn your frown upside down. Also the bar staff and reception staff are hilarious but also peofessional, they are all in all great people and I'm honestly depressed that I had to leave this place.

i loved madmonkey alot! this is the second best hostel i stayed inthis travellling. ppl there are very nice, i had many friends there. i reckon i was the only chinese there?i loved stayed with ppl from other countries alot, i experienced lotsa parties there. would come bk and stay again in future

The staff were really nice, there is always drinking water to refill,comfy beds and very big one ,hostel is cute. Location really bad! You have to drive to the center every time and if you want to rent a motorcycle from the hostel is very expensive. the laundry is expensive and come back late with lots of stains and holes, it is not recommended to do laundry there !! No hot water at the showers No water pressure and most of the time the showers do not work. In general I do not recommend, not worth the price

Let‘s be honest the showers and restrooms are really not great. But I stayed for 8 nights anyways because the people and the vibes were amazing, you feel welcome and safe and everyone is looking out for you. Thank you to Malin, Killian, Manuel and Rob for making my stay even better. Hope to see you again when I come back.

Location is great, just walking distance to cloud 9 and jacking horse, pool is nice, food and restaurant is great. Just had issues during my visit like no water in the shower, and dirty floors in the rooms due to accumulation of sand. Bunk beds are wide and pillows and matress are soft and clean, but partitions are just plain plywood. But overall stay is great, staff are very friendly.
