Great location with free wifi”

Good room size with bathtub

stayed 23apr-26apr, 3nights. had been to hong kong many times and madera is the best hotel i've ever stayed! the hotel is new (opened in march2012), hence very good condition furnishing, clean and nice interior. deluxe double room: spacious room, double bed, mini table with comfortable sofa at a corner. there's a partitioned area with wardrobe, working desk, safe deposit box and mini-bar. there're three powerpoints on the working desk, very convenient for charging of mobile phones. minibar items are free and replenished daily, consists of drinking water, beer, softdrinks and a pack of chips. beddings are comfortable but i find that the blanket is too thick for april weather, it's hot. bedside table has a ipod/iphone dock, with alarm and for listening to your ipod, also great for charging your ipod/iphone! washroom: very surprised to see such spacious bathroom in hong kong hotels. jacuzzi bathtub is great for tiring legs after a long day of walking and shopping! oh, the plus point is that the shower head is a detachable shower head, very convenient. amenities: shower bath gel, hair shampoo, conditioner and bodycream. toothbrush, shower cap, vanity set etc, nothing more you can ask for. location: just 5 mins walk to jordan mtr exit b. plenty of nice cafes, restaurants around the hotel. there's a very nice sichuan restaurant opposite the hotel wth very authentic sichuan spicy food, very reasonable price. 7-11s are everywhere near the hotel. complimentary breakfast: one cup of tea/coffee and a choice of pastry. sounds pathetic but you'll be surprised. the hotel's cafe is located on the 3rd floor but the setup is as if it's located on the rooftop! the ambience is great and there's a outdoor sitting area. choices of tea, coffee and pastries for you to choose (i chose cafe latte & a face-sized big rasin danish). highly recommended hotel!

A New& Comfy Design hotel hidden arround in Jordan”

2. Madera Hong Kong causeway bay, a luxurious design hotel in Jordan which have an on-site art gallery presented a mix of new and old Hong Kong, provided comfy room , a fitness centre and a 270-degree viewpoint Sky Lounge on 29th floor and GamExpert, a gaming room with XBox 360 , PS3, Driving Simulator). All guests r entitled to 2 hours of game play everyday and Playstation 3 consoles for Free

We switched to this hotel after staying at another hotel in Wanchai area it's because of friend recomment. so, we decided to give it a try. First of all, small lobby but excellent front desk. My room is on 27th floor however my friends they are on 23th floor. The room are ultra high-tech with every comfort provided in well-thought out detail. A glass wall using remote control blind,a nice hong kong view you can get.A flat TV is a HD and 3D TV come with a pair of 3D glasses, a JBL ipod desk, speedy free Wifi access, a (one-time)free minibar which comes with beer, soft drinks, instant noodle and snacks. I like the bathrobe feeling good to put on it,I have to mention good details because the towels and slippers are in two colors, white and fresh light green, so nice beside that which makes us easy to identify our towels and premium Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries is provided ^-^ Madera Hong Kong Hotel offers modern accomodation with numerous extra. Unfortunately, we don't have the time to fully indulge in this hotel extra amenities but we have plan to coming back next year. ^-^ we are impressed and Madera is highly recommended!

Fantastic hotel with service to match”

Free minibar

After searching the web and other reviews of hotels in a reasonable price range in Hong Kong, i chose The Madera Hotel and what an excellent choice it was. It starts with the easy access to the Jordan MTR station to the easy check in with a friendly smile. I was then escorted to my room which was such an oasis with its quality fittings, luxurious towels and the high quality Crabtree & Evelyn products. This is a new hotel which opened in January 2012 and i hope the standard stays at this great level because i will definitely be returning again and advise other travellers to give this place a go if they want affordability, quality and location. Thanks Madera Hotel 10 out of 10.

Madera is strategically located on Cheong Lok Street (5mins walk from Jordan MTR Station, which is 2 MTR stations away from MongKok). Staffs are able to converse fluently in english are very service oriented. Guestrooms as well as the facilities within the hotel are in good condition. A gem in Jordan area”

Located 5 minutes walk from Jordan MTR, New hotel with all the little comforts like a jacuzzi bath tub, comfortable beds and wonderful staff

we have been to hong kong many times and madera is by far the best hotel we found in this price range. the rooms are new and well sized (for hk). the room had everything we needed, a nice jacuzzi tub which allowed us to soak after a long day of shopping, good quality toiletries, in room safe, complimentary mini bar, ipod docking station, coffee and tea making facitilies and an umbrella which we really appreciated given that it rained almost everyday that we were there. there is a gym which is well equipped and a games room which u can book and play ps3 games / watch movies in there. location wise, it's just 2 blocks away from the jordan mtr and a block away from money exchange, 7 eleven. there is also a popular chinese restaurant across the street.(apparently won a michelin star) the staff were great. very knowledgeable and friendly. housekeeping responded very quickly to our needs for firmer pillows. if you were to bring children, i think you will need to book a bigger room configuration as our room was just nice for 2 adults. overall, we had a wonderful stay there and would definitely stay there again in our next trip to hk. this hotel is definitely on our highly recommended list.

Terrific boutique hotel with great views”

Location, friendly service, great views, new hotel

really nice boutique hotel in the heart of jordan. very new and very close to jordan mtr. we were upgraded to a premiere room on the 23rd floor, which gave us really nice views of hong kong. the staff were all really friendly and helpful. we accidentally broke a glass plate & they immediately sent someone up to clean it up for us and ensured no one was hurt. the bathroom had a jacuzzi bathtub, which was great for soothing the aches and pains from our travels. there is free wi-fi in the room & upon check in, they provided us with the access code and password. speed of internet is relatively fast. free mini-bar with soft-drinks, water, and a can of beer, chips, and instant noodles was a nice touch. view from the bar at the top of the hotel had great panoramic views of hong kong, you don't need to pay to go up there like some other attraction in hong kong. tea they serve was really nice too. very close to temple street and only a few stops from mong kok, tsim sha sui and central. lots of shops and eateries nearby.

Great Hotel with outstanding Room facilities”

Room Design, Room Size, Best Location

There is nothing to say about this hotel except that you will come there again, if you've been there, the place is just unbelievable! Great location & great room! When you open the door you will easily recognize all the details: clean carpet, nice sofa chair, flat screen, i-phone music box, music in the bathroom, etc. But one additional thing you will fell in love with: The shower! In Asia water pressure sometimes makes you angry, but in Madera taking a shower is non-comparable with other hotels in Hong Kong. Personally, as I am in HK many times a year, this is the place I will always stay in future. The hotel is most convenient for shoppers, as it is in the shopping district. Also do not worry that the place is not in HK Irland, it ist just 3 stops with the subway and the subway stop Jordan is just 3 minutes walk away from the hotel door. Again, you will love this place!

We love this place”

Location, design, probably the biggest rooms in Downtown Kowloon

Virtually every other hotel in Downtown Kowloon (and many of H K Island) has tiny rooms. I don't mean little, small, cramped etc. I mean TINY. All are all expensive - that's Hong Kong - but at Madera you get a lot more for the price. The rooms are big, spotlessly clean, with jacuzzi bath, great design features, etc. The hotel's location is perfect. 2 minutes to Jordan MTR and less than 5 to Temple Street Market; convenience stores, restaurants (but who on earth would need a restaurant when Temple Street's fantastic food is just across Nathan Road?) Love the staff. Love the design (somebody really cared when they built this place).

Excellent service, great location & nice interior”

Small boutique hotel 3 mins walk from Jordan MTR station. Lots of restaurants and local eateries besides and across the streets, bustling with good food into the night. Wellcome supermarket is 5 mins walk away, cant get any more convenient in terms of location. Hotel interior and cafe is stylish, and bedrooms are large by Hong Kong standard. Best of all, the staff and the manager Simon has been excellent in care and service. We are stuck on the day of planned departure due to the local protest (all access roads and MTR exits were closed). He was so kind to help us carry our heavy luggage for a distance to help us find a taxi. When that failed, he offered us a room to rest while waiting for the situation to subside. In the end, we extended 1 more night. What a great service to make us feel less anxiety under such a situation. Thank you to Madera Hotel and to Mr Simon (the manager)

Spacious hotel with excellent location”

Stayed at Madera for 5 nights in November. Hotel is along Nathan road, just few minutes from Jordan station and temple street. Train stations closed early without notice due to ongoing protest, but we managed to walk from TST/Mongkok area back to hotel (along Nathan road) within 20-25 minutes. Room size is big for Hong Kong standard. Modern design. Our room comes with jacuzzi bathtub! Love the bathroom amenities provided, it’s Crabtree & Evelyn brand. Housekeeping did a great job in cleaning the room. Mini bar was free for first round. And they provide handyphone for us to use as hotspot when we’re out. The only downside I could think of is the pillows are way too soft. Would be perfect if they offer pillow menu or firmer pillow.

Very modern and clean decor

This 29 floor property offers several room types including the Madera Penthouse, Madera Studio and the Grand Deluxe room which we stayed in. There is free Wifi in rooms and common areas and the mini-bar is free for the first consumption (once they top up the mini bar you will have to pay for subsequent use). There is a jacuzzi in the bathtub and the toiletries offered were CrabTree and Evelyn. Our jacuzzi in the room was out of order and after contacting the front desk they sent two technicians to take a look at it. However, they were unable to fix it and we were told to contact the customer service manager. The manager then told us that he will arrange for us to swap rooms the following day with one that had a working jacuzzi. It was no hassle as they moved our bags for us while we were out in the city. There is a very nice and unique art gallery on the first floor which offers a great photo opportunity. Cafe 1997 on the third floor offers a nice ambience. This is also where you will have your light breakfast every morning which consists of either a scone, muffin, toast or croissant, an orange juice and a tea or coffee from the Cafe 1997 menu. The coffee menu is quite good and you can order a flavored latte or mocha. The rooms do not offer you any nice views of the city as they are in close proximity to other buildings unless you are on higher floors.

Best choice in the Jordan area”

I have not heard of this hotel previously but I am glad I had tried it. I stayed at several different hotels on this trip. Madera was, overall wise, the best one. The hotel is conveniently located, very close to the Jordan MTR. Trust me, this is very important on hot and/or rainy days. Of course, the hotel staff are all friendly. Jordan is also a good area for experiencing local Hong Kong food with fewer tourist traps. Its roof top lounge has a nice view. I highly recommend this hotel to those who don't need a swimming pool.

Nice and new hotel in Jordan”

New, helpful staff who speaks good English.

madera hotel was never in my radar although i am a frequent traveller to hong kong. my favourite place to stay is always tsim sha tsui. after hearing about this new hotel from my friend i decided to give it a try as it is only one stop away from my usual tst. there is no regrets about this hotel and i decided to extend my stay when i return from macau. this hotel is still very new and the staffs speak good english. if you dont mind walking a bit you can also walk to tst. otherwise mrt station is also within walking distance. i booked the deluxe twin room and it is spacious for hong kong standard. i have not seen their standard room but i guess it will be normal hong kong stardard size. if you prefer more spacious space i would suggest the deluxe room.

Stunning boutique hotel”

Quiet boutique hotel nestled on Nathan road

we had a fantastic stay at the madera. we were welcomed warmly and receive an upgrade on check in which was lovely. the premier room was an oasis of calm, great view, comfiest bed i have ever slept in and two showers in the bathroom. only downside was the couch which was like sitting on rocks but hey, we didn't need a couch do this wasn't an issue for us. right near jordan mtr, this is a great little hotel and would stay here next time i am in hong kong.

Modern Hotel in Good Location”

Comfortable room, Wifi, Location

Madera Hotel Hong Kong provided a comfortable stay with its modern and well equipped room. The hotel is located just a short walk away from Jordan MTR Station, providing accessibility to guests to do sightseeing easily. The room is clean with quality towels, sheets and toiletries. It was an enjoyable stay.

Great location. Fantastic staff!”

Staff, location, staff.

The staff in this hotel are so wonderfully helpful and friendly. They do their best to accommodate all requests with professionalism and courtesy. Rooms in HK are notoriously small, but rooms at Madera are spacious and well laid out. Great shower. Comfy bed. My room smelled a bit musty, but it wasn't anything unbearable. The hotel is literally a stone throw away from Jordan station MRT and the bus stop. You can't go wrong with this hotel or the rates. You won't find better customer service, location (if you want Kowloon side), or square footage. I had looked at other hotels on Nathan Rd which were priced significantly higher and when I saw the actual hotels, and my room, I was very pleased I chose Madera.
