Pros: Haad Mae Haad reachable per feet Extraordinary (!) sunsets on the beach Taxi Boat directly available at the beach Rooms (new part of the hotel) awesome Very good restaurants around (I recommend Sunshine Restaurant) Bike renting supereasy Cons: Breakfast not optimal, cleanliness and options of food are problematic, too few places to sit down - this needs to be improved for a 4 star hotel. Relatively difficult communication with the staff due to bad english. Sometimes no warm shower water Construction works in progress in the new part of the hotel ————- All in all a very nice stay, but improvable. What it makes exceptional is the enclosed koh ma beach, which is a lovely place with options to drive to different beaches with the taxiboat. Sometimes quite crowded, but bar options are there to sit and watch the sunset. We loved the island. People are very nice and warm, very welcoming and flexible. Reception is always there to help out, no matter of the language.

...with friendly staff. Bungalows are equipped with fan, double bed and simple bathroom with hot shower. Outside you have a porch with a hammock. This is the closest you get nowadays to keep up a romantic feeling of being Robinson Crusoe (among a few other Robinsons) in Bountyland. Ask the taxi to be put off at Mae Haad Bay Resort – NOT at Wangsai’s parking lot, as the Wangsai owner won’t allow you to pass. This will give you an extra 200 meters with your luggage by dirtroad, before you hit Mae haad Bay Resort and are allowed to pass to the beach, where you can walk the same distance back to reach Mae Haad Beach View Resort. (I would recommend you to AVOID WANGSAI by all means but that is another story). When you arrive at the parking lot, you can phone the owner at 086 392 9992, and he will send one from the staff to give you a hand with the luggage, or he can arrange a private 4W taxi from Thong Sala. Don’t miss the snorkeling at Mae Haad - the reef is tremendous.

the room is ok and clean, close to the beach but too far from Haad Rin. if you would like to go Fullmoon party you have to think How long when you need to get back to the resort because really far but you can ask the reception about the taxi car when you check-in.No taxi car near this place and the road to go haad rin kinda dangerous..spend time for riding there about 1 hour from this resort to go haad rin i think.

This is the best value, most chilled out place on Mae Haad beach. The other places are more expensive and full of more upper class, mostly Russian tourists. Mae Haad Cove Bungalow has friendly backpackers, helpful staff (the tattoo guy will roll you a J for ฿150). It's also located at the very end of the beach and if you walk over the rocks there is a secret, private beach that you can have all to yourself.

We stayed in the very last bungalow on the beach so it was very quiet. The room was not super clean and the window coverings too small for the windows. Do not expect housekeeping during your stay. The food in the restaurant was not very good. There are many better options a short walk down the beach. The staff seemed at times a bit disgruntled and unfriendly. If I return to Mae Haad Beach I would choose a different place to stay. It is definitely a beautiful beach with decent snorkelling and wonderful sunsets.

by far the best hotel we have stayed in Koh Phangan. the location is the opposite side of the full moon party Haadrin. the view is amazing and the water is more nicer. you don’t have to eat out because their restaurant by the beach is so affordable. Great food specially massamun curry with rice. fresh coconut only 20Baht. super cheap! nearby services available like family mart and laundry shops. never tried their massages as I only go to “Pure relax” near the city. pool is nice and the hotel and resort has amazing views. the room has great interior, comfortable pillows and wide bed. and the bathroom has toiletries provided. daily housekeeping. most staff specially at the restaurant are from myanmar. they speak english, french and german too. we stayed at the resort for 3 nights now and extending for another night. rent a motorbike is available but i really suggest renting near the THONGSALA PIER only 150Baht per day! overall stay is perfect.
