"I really loved the room. I booked the deluxe villa; it seemed to be worth the upgrade. As far as I know, the deluxe villas have the better view toward the mountains, which can be enjoyed from the large front terrace in the morning (or on a beautiful moonlit night). The bed was centered in the middle of the room as you come in, and behind the concrete divide was his and hers sinks. The bathroom was huge, and there was also a walk in closet and desk. The owners also own a large amount of land (all the way to the mountains you can see in some of the pics), so you can also rent quadbikes (although I didn't take up this opportunity). I really enjoyed my stay at Phu Pai art resort. In fact, my girlfriend had booked us a second night at a different hotel - BURA LUMPAI resort... big mistake! It was poorly managed, and the restaurant was abysmal (in the top 3 worst hotel breakfasts I've ever had, dirty table cloths, etc)... during our night at Bura Lumpai, 2 of the new buildings they were building COLLAPSED! It was a very poor experience. Do yourself a favour, and stay at Phu Pai Art Resort... it was one of the best places I stayed in Thailand!"

"I was only there for an evening, but one that I will never forget. I couldn't figure out where they were located and or how to get there, I was eating at a place in town and called the phone number they have listed on there website. W had a slight english communication issue so I handed to phone over to the waiter. Waiter talks to them for a few minutes , hangs up and informs me they will be picking me up in 10 minutes from the restaurant. So they did and its quote a few miles outside of town in a gorgeous and peaceful area."

"We enjoyed our stay. We found the first room too big for us so they gave us another room with balcony, very nice and comfy. Bed was hard but so are most Thai beds. I had a minor accident and couldn't walk and so the staff gave us a DVD player as well as DVDs to watch and brought food to our room. We woke up each morning being able to look out over the gardens, for us it was a great place to relax out of town, but just a ten minute ride or drive, plus the owner would take you if needed. They are a new resort and try to make your stay a pleasant one. I will stay again in the future."
