The check in was smooth although nobody speaks English. The room was spacious and every room has an amazing view as shown in photos. Surrounded by tea farm, they always serves you a cup or glass of tea in every meal which is so thoughtful for me 😍 Not too much facilities, just a resto where all the meals are being served. They also have this tea section where one of the staff (the ladyboy) would be gladly to explain and make a tea presentation demo to you - even in English. Breakfast was buffet and same every day i guess. They even have this basket and wooden made cap where you can borrow and pick ur own tea from their farm and for photo shoot too. If u want to level up ur pictorial, they have this 100 baht (not sure if per hour or per costume)rental of Northern Thai costumes at the reception. At the lower part of the resort is the much bigger tea farm that is open for public viewing and they also sell tea, of course. This place is also like 3km away from the market so it's so peaceful. (the market has 7-11 and several atm machines. Overall, it was a fantastic stay. Certainly would visit this place again, but would recommend to stay here for a maximum of 2 days.

No doubt the best spot to enjoy sunrise in Mae Salong. Located at couple kilometres from Mae salong town, this resort environment is quiet and surrounded by nature. I'm lucky to get my room facing East and as well to the magnificent view of the tea farm nearby there. The breakfast (porridge+cabbage) are freakin delicious especially when you are having it hot under 16°c temperature early morning, while enjoying the sunrise moment. The ladyowner is very generous and always ask us to have more porridge and cabbage. It's FREE REFILL LOL! Thanks to ladyowner for hosting us and we will definitely come back again!

All is great, the only concern would be some noise from other rooms or from the road. This is probably the best hotel in Mae Salong, the rooms are spacious and the view is perfect (just don't look straight down, you'll still see some potential for improvement). Having said all that, I've really enjoyed my stay. Don't forget to try the hotpot (can be vegetarian) and the tea ceremony set :)

Hotel is situated on the edge of Mae Salong about a ten minute walk from the centre and street market so it's very quiet at night. The building is concrete built and the corridors can be quite echoing as people walk or talk in them but was no real problem. If you're visiting here it can be quite chilly at night because of the altitude and there's no heating in the rooms so remember to bring some warm clothes. The hotel kindly provided extra blankets. Overall, a nice place to stay for your visit to this fascinating village.

Fantastic guesthouse conveniently located right next to the Mae Salong Morning Market. I visited Mae Salong simply because I saw a high concentration of hotels in that area on Google Maps and it turned out I made the right decision. Mae Salong is situated on top of the hilly mountains (!) and you will be rewarded with surprisingly good Chinese (or Taiwanese) food and tea.

What is great about this property is the bungalows situated on a sloping tea crop and the wonderful view of the Mae Salong area. It is off the street and very quiet. The bungalows have much character, another term for pretty old but well maintained. The beds are a bit hard as they sit on the floor. It is all a bit rustic but that is what you are signing up for. The host spoke great English, understood our every need, and made arrangements for a private taxi to Tachilei, Burma border town. It was more than a direct trip - The driver accompanied us through the border and around town a bit. Saw the big temple there. Also stopped at a tea plantation and a couple other sites making it a complete private tour. We'd stay again here but the take away is to make the trip to Mae Salong, it is really worth the effort.

We had stayed in Chiangmai city for a few days and took a motorbike trip covering Chiang Rai, Mae Salong, Phu Chi Fah, Nan and Phayao for the next 5 days. I love Maesalong Mountain Home! Situation about 4km from the little town (there were other guesthouses too), I found this resort tucked in a corner of the mountain charming, quaint and quiet. Amazing mountain views. Literally, a breath of fresh air! It was my most perfect honeymoon stay and sadly, we only stayed for a night as we have a tight itinerary to follow. The chalet and bathroom were clean, cozy and spacious. We sampled the fried Yunnan noodles and fish & chips for dinner. Had the noodles again for breakfast the next morning. The food was generally good and delicious. I missed my brewed coffee but they do not serve any except the ready-mix ones (3-in-1). The owner is friendly, hospitable and helpful when we sought more information on the best route to our next destination. We stopped by the oolong tea plantation and visited the factory on our way out. I would come back to stay here again for sure. For the long and winding journey to Mae Salong, it's better to spend at least 2 nights and explore the town nearby. Highly recommended!

We stay 3 nights very quiet and peaceful. One night a large group of European family travelers were talking loudly at the sitting balcony area, which was directly across from our room with an big opening between our room. You could hear them very well. They came in late and talk late into after 11 pm. People needed to be more considerate of other. My husband gone out, but they still did not tone down.
