Find hotels near Magong City in Penghu, Taiwan

To get to the city area you need to either hire cab or walk like 10-15mins. The staffs were extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable! They will go all the way out to help to book our itinerary (coz we decide only quite last min). They offer advise and was patient in explaining to us on our choices of activities selected and got the tour guide to pay more attention to us (as we are not taiwanese). Was surprised that we were actually staying in the area where 2 mega stars (Pan An Bang & Zhang Yu Sheng) stayed during their childhood times and the accommodation was 1 of the places of interest. The yearly firework is also walking distance from the accommodation to Rainbow bridge. Oh another additional point is they will be opening a cafe and a japan style bbq stall in the accommodation. I will DEFINITELY stay with them again if i visit Penghu!!

the b&b is located in magong city, but a bit far away from the city center. nevertheless, the staff can drive you to the harbour for any excursion you may have and then pick you up. distance is not really a problem and a taxi from the city center to come back to the b&b is really cheap: 80 nt$ (about 2,5us$). motorbikes or cars can be rent in a walking distance from the b&b. the owners are really nice and helpful! they helped us organized our trip in penghu, coming up with a full of itinerary suggestions. room was spacious and clean. the only thing missing was a lift. it's not very convenient to climb up the stairs if you're travelling with heavy luggages.

Booked the hotel for IRONMAN race on Penghu Island. There are many grand hotels around, but this is located right next to the harbour. Provides free transport from MaGong airport, next to great local taiwan delicacies and walking distance to the only shopping mall on the island. if you want a decent great place to stay, close to ready available food and easy to walk about. I recommend Bai Chin Hotel.

Booked this hotel at the last min due to our previous advance booked Hostel was overtaken by some bugs infestation. The place was a little inconvenient as it is quite some distance away from sightseeing spots and convenience stores, but bicycle is available and rental free. There is also a free airport shuttle service which have to be informed to staff in advance. Room is clean and spacious with comfy beds. Definitely recommend for few days stayover~

Despite the fact that communication before the visit was quite demanding (language and technical issues) the hostel bought us boat tickets that we paid after arrival. It was really helpful and managed without any fee. On arrival it turned out that we will stay in other place, it was a bit surprising, but kind lady drove us there and location was even better. Room was small, but clean, bathroom was a bit uncomfortable but also enough for a short stay. To sum up, at this price it is reasonable place to stay and You can expect helpful and friendly service but do not expect any luxury!

Probably one of the highlights of our visit to Penghu - our hotel. It was located 15-20 minutes from the airport, by the jetty, and at the heart of the city center. Every night was spent just casually walking around the vicinity for things to eat, drink and see. Our receptionist were really helpful and helped us with our plans around the island every day! The hotel also provides an airport shuttle service during working hours, which was the main reason why we chose this hotel in the end. (But even without the shuttle, the cost of a taxi is NT200). Lastly, the room was very very very clean. We loved our hotel. Thanks for having us!

Calamari is one piece fan hostel as I can see the one piece model character being displayed. Also, when it comes to one piece, the place is located facing yhe harbor which you can see the boats and ship. Front desk staff speaks good english and very attentive to your needs. If you need more privacy and easy access, Calamari is best suited for you. Just a few walks to mos burger and mcdonalds if you are not fan of local delicacies. Definitely stay here on summer time.

We stayed in triple room, with double and single bed. Hotel and room was old, but clean. Bathroom looked even older, shower and bath, bath was a bit small. Although we booked non-smoking room, it smelled a bit of smoke. Wifi connection not very good in room. Lots of tourbus tourists staying in the hotel, was noisy in the evening as they played mayong loudly in the rooms with the door open. Staff was very attentive and friendly, helped us booking a tour to visit the neighbouring islands. The hotel provides a (free) pick-up service from and to the airport which was convenient (best to call ahead to confirm).

the best part of the stay was the staff- although the only person who could use english was a manager. manager was great, he helped us with everything, was very friendly and willing to support us in our travelling. we werew picked up from the airport without additional charges and delivered on the airport sfter the stay. manager helped us to book airpalne tickets and to rent a scooter. hotel is not close to the sea but it is a walking distance of 15 min. very close there is a supermarket and a backery. although the breakfest is very basic it is delicious- we were looking the same food on the other parts of the island but could't find even similar to that one. furniture in the room is old but teh bed is very comfortable. room and bathroom are clean. the only thing problem was with air-conditioner that we were unable to switch on and off (it is probably opearted by the staff). unfortuantely interent is only in the reception.

We stayed in Penghu for five nights and really enjoyed the food and sightseeing despite that most shops in remote areas close. We can't express our gratitude enough to our host Tina, for organizing everything from breakfast to travel advice and even a scooter for free! She also upgraded us to a bigger room for free given the size of our luggages😅 No need to climb stairs with our suitcases as it has an elevator! The property is located at heart of Magong with great harbour view. Ample of eateries for locals or tourists are just stone throw away. Highly recommended!

This hotel is located steps from the harbour on the Main Street of Magong City, Penghu. The room was nothing special but OK for the price. The best features of this hotel are location and price. The staff was also very helpful, albeit with limited English language skills, but this is the norm in Taiwan. The breakfast buffet was very poor, unless you are a fan of congee. Otherwise there is only white bread and cold hard boiled eggs. We stayed here for 5 nights and from the second day we were given vouchers for breakfast at McDonald's every morning, which is only about 3 blocks up the street. Penghu Island is absolutely beautiful with pristine beaches and crystal clear water. The locals are very friendly and taxis are cheap. Overall, ever Spring hotel is a good value for a short stay on the island for budget conscious travellers.

The lady in the front desk was very helpful to us and well it helped the fact that I do speak Chinese so we had not communication trouble. She was very nice to us, introduced us to cool places to go, called scooter rental service for us. It doesn't say but it includes breakfast. It's not much but it's something and on out last day we didn't want any breakfast and the lady gave us back money for it. Overall it was a really nice stay! Room was clean, spacious, it had toiletries, clean towels. The bathroom facilities were a bit old but still worked fine. Great location, is right in the center of everything!

Green Inn is a lovely hotel, just outside of the old part of Magong. They offer bikes to their guests for free, so you can get to the harbour in 5 minutes. Green Inn provided us with both a pick up and drop off at the airport, which was very convenient. The room is very big and the design is is modern yet warm and stylish. The bathroom is massive and the bathtub was very nice and comfortable after a day exploring the island. The ladies at reception do their very best to make your stay as nice as possible, even though they sometimes speak little English, we always managed to work things out together. Breakfast is served at the time you would like it to be scheduled and made for you by their cook. So no buffet, but a big plate of European inspired food (so no Chinese breakfast!). I could totally recommend this lovely hotel!

The staff were able to book a scooter for us as well as a boat trip to neighbouring islands. This included transfers to the harbour. The rate included free transfers to/from Magong airport! The room was clean and modern with 180degree views of the harbour. included a small balcony, good for photo opps. Very impressed with our stay here and great value for money. Located right nearby the CBD, harbour and a short scooter ride to the fireworks. Breakfast depends on the number of people staying in the hotel; if there are not enough for the buffet leave yourself extra time in the morning to have the set menu prepared for you.

Hotel is right on top of a bus station- so it is convenient to take the TAidan Tourist Shuttle Service. Even if you miss, you can always take the public buses. It is a short walk from all the eateries in Magung City. Service is good & rooms are well renovated. Only compliant is the breakfast- hotel should provide more bread options (although I must say Taiwanese breakfast was good).

It was a lovely place with detailed design to create a feeling of HOME. It is new, sweetly decorated, spacious and with plenty spaces for chilling and resting. the young Homestay owners were super helpful and caring. They offered much privacy as well as timely help. Try their wonderful duplex VIP rooms with ceiling windows in summer. It is definitely worth they choice. Recommended for motor riders as Penghu is very easy to travel around on motorcycles.

Maggie, the host, is so helpful and informative. She always smiles and is eager to help us on anything. When we have just arrived, she gives us the map of Penghu with recommendation of places for sightseeing, and getting good foods around the residence and island. Also she helps us contacting and arranging scooter rental service to pick us up in front of the residence. Such a lovely host. The room is nice and tidy just as the photos shown. If we visit Penghu next time, we'll definitely think of Just Home as our first choice. The location is also good for us as the residence is next to 7-11 convenience store.
