Best resort I have ever seen”
I am 25 years in Thailand and have visited many hotels/resorts, but this was the best one. There were others also very nice, but always some points to improve. This one was the first one that really met all my expectations.

Very very clean!! ”
Hotel room was very very very clean. We were there in a very busy long weekend. We had a very good buffet breakfast. I like every menu here. And they have 2 swimming pool. We were only at the big pool. They have a massage at the big pool too but open only in the day not in the evening. If they open also in the evening, I'd be happier. Staff were very polite and very helpful, we had so many bags/luggages, and they were helping us moving all the bags to the rooms and to the car when we check-out, especially the security guy, he didn't let my husband carry any bag at all. I like everything about this hotel except the location. It'd be a lot better if they're a bit close to the city. Ohh and the coffee shop at the hotel is really great.

Thick tap water.”
Tap water in the resort was very thick. I felt sticky and uncomfortable on my body whenever after taking a shower. The bed was dirty and felt sticky on the skin too.

Perfect and fantastic!”
If you want to visit Damnoen Saduak's Floating Market, this hotel is probably one of the best options, as the floating market is just a 7 minutes walk from the hotel's door. We stayed here in order to be able to be at the market by 7:00 AM before tourist hordes arrive from Bangkok by 09:00 AM. Another good thing was that the hotel booked for us a boat that picked us up at the hotel, as it has a pier in a canal that is connected to the canals where the floating market takes place. So you can either walk to the floating market or hire a boat (I definitively recommend the boat ride, as you can see much more than on foot). With reference to the hotel, the staff is very nice and very helpful (they also booked for us a van to return to Bangkok). Rooms are distributed along a 2 levels modern and new building with covered hallways that are also open to the outside. So the whole atmosphere is very "tropical" and exotic. The room we had was very large, very clean and comfortable. It had air-conditioning, a small refrigerator, a normal tv, a desk and a chair, a space between the room and the bathroom where there was a wardrobe and an ensuite bathroom (see attached pictures). The hotel has also a great restaurant where they serve a very complete buffet breakfast (we also had dinner and the food and the price was very good). Additionally the hotel has a very nice swimming pool, which is perfect to fight the heat. It is then obvious that I will stay here again if I have the opportunity to come back to Damnoen Saduak.

What a cozy and excellent hospitality resort.”
I went there with my couple to seek a peaceful place to relax after had been through hard working for a year. I was a precious time when we were there. The resort is located near so many attraction places. We enjoyed boating and sightseeing alone the floating market. By the sun set, we went to Samutsongkrum which has another evening floating market for dinner. I took just 20 minutes by car. To sum up, if you are looking for a place where you want to meet peace. Maikaew Damnoen Resort will fail you.

Perfect location when visiting Damnoen Saduak”
A spacious resort with large room and classic decoration. Located just a couple of minutes of walking from Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. All staff are very professional, hospitable, and helpful. They handled our requests very generously. The TukTuk driver that they hired for us was also very helpful and knowledgeable of good things around the area. The trip was entirely without a single fuss because we chose this place

Nice Hotel in a good location and very green ”
Our Family were a group of 9 Adult + 1 small child. I chosen this hotel, because of the location nearby Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Also the activities that hotel got to offer like 2 swimming pools, Bike Rental, Boat Tour, beautiful Garden Landscape etc. UPON Arrival we were late @approx. 19.30 Hrs. The Staff were very helpful and very friendly. After check-in we went for a dinner in Hotel Restaurant. Apart from our group, there are another 2 small group from Europe. We felt a bit unwelcome and do not get much attention from the staff (we are Thai). Our Order was not serve at the same time. My Noodle has been forgotten. I asked the waiter twice... he seem not to interested! After 30 mins. when most of my family already done with their food. I decided to cancel my food. Then the Manager came. She told me that my noodle is already in the pan. But I don't want it anymore, then she asked my why and I answered "because you are much too late".... anyhow... I like the hotel itself very much. I would definately go there again if I plan to visit Floating Market again.

Fabulous Resort”
Beautiful grounds & gardens. Two beautiful pools. Massage available. Playground for children. Wonderful buffet breakfast. Cheap boat tours right from dock on resort grounds that offer a variety of tour options (we did the one hour tour of floating market). Many reviews said not to buy souvenirs here but we found the prices negotiable to a reasonable price, and since we didn't have time to visit other markets in Bangkok later, regretted not buying more while here! The hotel also offered a mini-bus shuttle back to Bangkok which we declined, but would advise others that this was actually a good deal (in hind-sight). The resort has free bicycle rentals which we rode to a wonderful restaurant about half a mile down the road. The gardeners offered us fresh coconuts as they were trimming them from the trees (kids were fascinated by the process) - we loved how friendly and kind everyone was. Can't really say enough good things about our experience here! It was worth double the price we got on Agoda. Would definitely stay here again!

Safer option to visit Damnoen Floating Market”
I would recommend travellers to spend the night at Damnoen , then head to the market as early at 7:00 am, and leave by 9:30am. 2 hours is more than enough to take pictures, have coffee, do the 30-min boat ride and buy a bit of stuff. Tourists will flock the market by the bus load at 8:30 am. By 10:00 am the place will be too crowded for anything.

Maikeaw Damnoen”
very impressed with facilities and land scaping. There're many activities to do inside the resort after visiting floating market in morning, such as swimming, biking, massage, dvd, boat trip, etc. Friendly and helpful staffs. Only issue we had was hotel restaurant. Foods are pricey, sub-par quality, not worth money. Since this resort is situated in the middle of nowhere, there's really no place nearby that we can have food after floating market closed (around 3pm). Don't order thai omlet w/shrimp, 3eggs, 3shrimps 160baht. We understand it's opportunity to make money but this is a little too much and too far. Room is good enough for the price paid. Spacious bathroom, comfy bed, a little problem with noisy air-con. We stayed at Damnoen village, good location and private.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile ”
Hotel is near to floating market in Damon Saduak. I wanted to visit the market early with out early morning traveling from Bangkok. I'm glad that i have booked this hotel. this was the best hotel I stood in my entire trip in Thailand when compare all. Rooms are anomalously big. Had all the basic facilities. It is really near to the floating market and hotel will arrange you a boad to go. it is better to get the boat arranged through hotel without wasting time bargaining rates with thais.

Intimate resort and attentive staff!”
We stayed in the Coxonut Village part of the resort, which has Lana Houses. We ate in the restaurant twice, due to the lack of places outside the resort. We ate out on the veranda, as the restaurant itself is brightly lit and looks like a school canteen, with large tables, which seat at least six people. However, the food was superb and the chicken & cashew dish was especially good. The resort is only a 5 minute walk to the floating market. The staff were very attentive, even though their English was poor. Although we were supposed to have Wi-Fi in the room, we could only get it in the restaurant. Overall, we enjoyed the intimacy of the resort.

Good hotel but not great one”
Maikawe Damnoen Resort is a nice hotel and ideally located if you want to visit the Damnoewn Floating Market (which is a tourist trap, by the way, better go to other markets around Bangkok), but it is a bit overpriced for what it is, and unless you chose a Villa, the rooms are very basic and a bit depressing. So is the restaurant as well, with basic food and no atmosphere.

Great hotel , lovely food and fantastic service”
We enjoyed our staying in this hotel very much. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The staff gives a great service and the swimming pool is very nice. The best of all was the restaurant, on the terrace near a small river : very romantic ! And the food was very, very good at fair prices.

Close to floating market”
We went there for a short stay for the visit of the floating market on the next morning. Staff was helpful but a large construction inside of the resort area was spoiling the view.

Superb Resort for Damnoen Saduak Market Trip”
Though the bathroom is not superb, the room is nice. Salt water pool also looks attractive for swimming. My most impression is that the boat trip (what most people are in this area for) is provided directly from the hotel with an amazingly competitive price.
