One of the best values in Vegas”
Not the most opulent, but very nice. Not the most high quality, but worth every penny. Good food, friendly staff, low minimums on tables and games. Great location in terms of getting to major freeways and locations around Vegas, right by Fremont Street - bad location in terms of the train making a lot of noise. I would absolutely stay there again. Very few places in Vegas make you feel like it was worth it, and Main Street Station and Casino was more than worth what we paid for the room and buffet (maybe the BEST value in all of Vegas...)
Great value for the money”
Great place, especially for the money. Main Street Station Casino is much better than other downtown hotels, Cleaner and recently remodeled. Easy access to the Fremont Street Experience. I would definitely stay there again, business or pleasure. I will say that the buffet is only adequate, especially for the price.
Big room, great downtown Casino, and craft beer”
Surprising high quality ! I had gambled at Main Street Casino before and had often ate and drank at the 777 brew pub but this was my first stay at the hotel. The room was much larger and nicer than I expected and the staff were excellent. The breakfast buffets were fantastic and very reasonably priced. Easy access to other downtwon casinos and fremont street . Great stay!
If you wanna hang out in old Downtown Las Vegas, this hotel has classic charm and elegance. They have a good buffet, complete casino experience, and shared amenities with the California Hotel across the street. A catwalk allows indoor access to both facilities and your players card works at both locations for max point totals and discounts in the boutiques and restaurants. Friendly staff and smoking rooms available. One mile NuWu Cannibis dmDispensary and Tasting Room. A win-win for all who want to add a little extra pizazz to their vacation!
Clean and comfortable ”
We arrived at the hotel around 2 and were pleasantly surprised to have been able to check in at that time. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. It is an older hotel so they are a bit dated. But for the price, you won't be disappointed. The staff was very friendly and pleasantly answered any questions we had. The hotel is close enough to walk to Fremont Street but far enough away from the noise. We would definitely consider staying here again.
We were two friends traveling. Excellent facilities for the price. We used Lyft to take us to The Strip so extra cost there traveling to/from location. After being around all the people on the busy Strip, we enjoyed coming back to Main Street Station- quieter, less people. Quick walk to Freemont. Room was clean and comfortable. No issues there. Staff very friendly except for one bellman. Shout out to one of the gals who works as a cashier in the buffet restaurant - super friendly! We enjoyed our conversation with her both mornings we were there.
Everything’s good except for the location!”
The only nearest spot here is the freemont experience street, but all the places that you would mostly go in Las Vegas are in the strip which is far away from this hotel. It costed us too much on Lyft, whereas with that cost we can already stay at a luxurious hotel in the strip. BUT... as for this hotel, room is clean, spacious, and surprisingly quiet! Air conditioning’s best with the weather. Staff were accommodating, didnt have a problem with check in/out. But pool’s on the other hotel. Overall it was a nice stay!
Very Good Hotel Off the Strip”
The hotel and its facilities were great. The bed was comfortable and and the room was clean. The staff at the front desk were very helpful as well. I have given it only three stars only because the location does not make you feel you are in Vegas. The hotel is located downtown and off the strip in a quiet area but yet very close to all the downtown attractions. The Buffet at the hotel was not as great as the reviews. I was expecting a great buffet given the reviews but found it very average. There was an OK choice and variety but the quality was debatable. The hotel also provides free parking which is a definite plus. Have reduced one star on facilities as there is no free wi-fi, which is a basic requirement at any hotel in this day and age.
Authentic Vegas! ”
A really nice and authentic place to stay right next to Fremont Street. 2 downs though : you have to pay for wi-fi even when you're staying at the hotel (!) and the air co is pretty noisy, makes it hard to keep it on at night. The Casino is really nice and the buffet is the best in town!
My room was clean and had an enormous mirror. Excellent staff checked me in after a brief wait. Shutters on the windows instead of curtains, which was interesting. One of my chairs smelled like smoke when I was moving it, but I didn't notice it when I was sitting in it, so the smell was very faint. The pool and gym are in Hotel California, which you can access through a walkway. Walking distance from the Golden Nugget and Mob Museum. I could hear the highways and train, but this was nothing compared to the blasting '80s music when I later stayed at the Golden Nugget. Definitely try Main Street!
I've always stayed at the Golden Nugget when Downtown in Las Vegas. I needed to find a new "home" because the Nugget isn't what it used to be. The staff doesn't seem as helpful or friendly as in the old days (20 years ago or so), and it's crowded to the point of being ridiculous Check-in at the Nugget could take most of your evening. So, I decided to try Main St. I really liked all the staff I interacted with. The place is small, which I like. Check-in was a breeze. I'll be back.
Older hotel but very up to date ”
Spacious rooms, no one loitering around like some other Las Vegas hotels I've stayed in. This was by far the most affordable hotel in Vegas in New Years. I was surprisingly impressed with this hotel. I would highly recommend it.
Great Value for Vegas”
Comfortable King Size Bed/Room with a view from 17th floor for 40 bucks + Resort Fee (16). Free Wifi in room is worthless, but free Wifi in casino is fine. Brewery is good! Salmon Sushi = meh, not good salmon Pizza = meh
Free parking is great. Close to Fremont St. Experience without being right on top of the noise and people from it. Enjoyed eating at the brewery.
Quick family sports trip... ”
The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. It was 2 blocks from the Fremont Street Experience. There are 2 good restaurants in house. It's close to the freeway. The staff was friendly. The price was right...end of story.
Thanksgiving in Vegas”
A good hotel to stay to enjoy the festivities ar Fremont Street which is just 5 minutes walking distance away. Also, it is a 20 minutes walk to the North Premium Outlet. Less flashy than the hotel at the Vegas strip but has it charms.
4 nt stay”
This hotel is convenient for downtown location & is connected to the California hotel by a walkway. The casino area has higher ceilings so smoke is not as congested as other hotels. Hotel decor is dated but rooms are clean. Good hotel for a short stay.
good but far from great”
Agoda showed free in-room WiFi, my only option in the room was to pay for 24 hrs of access. 9.99 charge. why is the Internet so damn slow in vegas? I mean, I get casinos want people off their phones and spending money on casino floors....but if you're going to charge 10 per day, cmon... other than that, room was clean, comfortable, I'd suggest asking for a room facing the freeway if you like highway traffic noise. sirens, revved engines, all night long :D
Main streets buffet is a great value and an easy walk to the Cal for their Market Str cafe and oxtail soup and island short ribs.. yum!
Great action but can be noisy”
Loved the garden buffet, casino atmosphere was good. The staff members were nice and friendly. Only problem is that our room was facing the highway and the noise bothered us (goes on all night). Rooms are not soundproof.
