Halong Bay on Majestic Cruise”
went to Halong Bay on overnight cruise Majestic Cruise on 4 March 15. from the time of the booking, the staff was in touch with fast response on questions regarding the itenary and details of travel (e.g. i provided passport details and hotel address for pick up via email provided, they responded on the same day). our tour guide, Mr Minh, is very friendly, helpful and professional in all his handling of the itenary of the trip. he even went the extra mile to help 3 elderly passengers who were not able to go to the Surprise Cave cos it was too difficult for them to climb. Minh took their camera and took photos on their behalf so they would not miss out. throughout the trip when we visited various farms, there was no pressure to purchase anything. the food on the cruise was good and more than sufficient for all. they provide drinking water on the bus trip to and fro. drinks on the cruise is not too expensive, with a Coke at US 2+. the staff spoke good English and the activities as per itenary. the four of us (two couples) enjoyed ourselves very much

Halong Majestic Cruise - a great liner with fantastic staff!”
I was travelling with my 6 year old daughter so wanted a great cruise experience but at modest prices and with best experiences. Majestic fulfilled that perfectly. Though we paid $30 for an upgrade from a Sea view room to a balcony room, it was worth it. I wanted to have a balcony to have my own peace of comfort and to have fun with my daughter while cruising on the bay. The room was pretty clean and the bathroom was tidy - all wooden decor including the floors. The room had an AC and there was hot water in the bathroom. The food was great - for the price we got 4 meals including 2 lunches, a dinner and breakfast for a 2 days/1 night cruise. Nancy, our tour guide was very caring and friendly, My daughter was in awe of her. I also liked Julie who got in touch with me almost a month before the trip on whats app and I was happy that she helped in meeting my expectations that developed almost a month before the trip. Overall - a great experience and worth recommending. For the price!

A Great way to see Halong Bay!”
We enjoyed a lot our experience at Majestic Cruise! The boat is very comfy, although it´s a bit old and need some painting and repairs. The saff was great, very polite. The food was delicious and with huge portions, we had a feast on the boat!! The only issue we had was with the pick up service. Our hotel was outside the old quarter, at the night before of the our cruise we received an email telling us they couldn't find our address. We had to call the owner of our apartment and ask him to called the boat guide to clarify our address and organize the pick up time. Also, the bus stop during the trip from Hanoi to Halong bay is a bit annoying, the bus stopped at a very touristy and overpriced shop, where we had to wait for half an hour. But the time we step at Halong Bay was great!! We Recommend!!

Our guide, Qui was kind, helpful, efficient and always working to do his best for everyone in the group. Ha Long Bay and the Majestic boat were even better than I hoped, the former enchanting and the latter delightful. The food was fresh, plentiful tasty and varied, the cabin was spotless, the staff was attentive and I was sorry to leave. Next time I would do 2 nights. Thanks Qui for all your hard work.

Great View, Great Guide, Great Cruise”
The cruise offers pick up from hotels in the Old Quarter for 30USD (additional). They take your luggage as well. The pickup was on time, and they contacted our hotel prior to let them know our pickup details. The staff were very kind and friendly, catering to all our needs. Our tour guide, Lee, was very entertaining (very good storytelling skills) and we were never bored listening to him. He explained everything and was willing to answer questions - clearly very passionate. His english was very good as well. Our room was very good, and clean similar to the images shown. We had a small group this time, so everyone got a balcony and a room on the second floor which was a bonus. The cruise was in accordance to the itinerary found on their website, and requires a fair amount of physical activity - you can opt out of most of them (barr the surprise cave) but you will still have to come along. The itinerary is fairly packed so you are never bored - but you get appropriate time to rest between activities. The food on the cruise was AMAZING and totally worth the money, you will not be hungry at all. We will totally come again, in the summer.

Cool trip”
The cruise was a bit old but clean and food was very nice. Tour was pretty good altogether, the leader made sure we wouldn't bump on to big tour groups and he did quiet a good job. The dessert though was the only disappointing thing after the amazing feast that was every meal :) activities very nice and adequate. Some parts of Halong bay a bit dirty due to amount of tourists and boats throwing stuff to the waters. Where we went to swim however was very clean and nice :) would do it again !

Lovely boat in such a wonderful location”
All in one package included picking up and dropping back to the hotel in Hanoi, plus entrance fees, a couple of stop overs etc. The boat itself was small enough for it to be enjoyable, the rooms were luxury compared to some of the cruises I've been on - loved the carved wooden ceilings. And the food just kept on coming - I don't think I've ever seen so much food - a large variety of dishes at each meal. The staff were great, particularly our guide. there's a great deck where you can observe the view over cocktails. The tour also included a visit to a cave, and a beach with monkeys. I would definitely recommend this cruise package.

Value of money”
Overall is good especially the good service of our tour guide - Mr. Quy and the cruise' crews. Room was clean are food was nice. We had a great time and enjoy so much! Just a little things require for improvement. We were informed to wait at hotel lobby on 8am - 8.15am but the bus only came at nearly 9am causing us waiting at the lobby for such a long time. Hope that time management can be improved in future.

Time management has to be improved in order for us to be able to enjoy and experience all the activities. Also, please improvise on variation of the activities on the boat in case of weather changes so that passengers will not get bored.

Overpriced and disappointing but Great Staff & Plentiful Food!”
We were disappointed with the poor communication and apparent lack of organization when we arrived at the dock. Information supplied by the cruise organizers via Agoda had incorrect contact details (all 3 phone numbers, email address) whilst the dock address was so generic that the taxi driveler had no idea where to take us and had to stop 3 times for instruction. At the dock, total chaos, with no representative or any signs to indicate they even operated from this location. We were left at the mercy of someone finding us. Than they were almost 2 hours late in finally collecting us! As to the boat, it looked a bit different from what was advertised - may be a sister boat? The lounges were not the same which made a difference to the comfort level, very few chairs and just one table. The boat looked tired, but air con did work ans so did the fridge. The one big plus was the overwhelming amount of fresh and tasty food served throughout the 2 night/3 day trip. But breakfast is at 7am sharp so that was a bit inconvenient. We were however disappointment that although we paid for this more upmarket cruise, assuming we would be spending at least one full day just cruising the Bay, we were relocated to more inferior boat for the day. We were served lunch, but had to pay for the likes of tea and coffee, and it transpired there was not even one teaspoon on the boat. There were also no lounges or chairs outside on the deck, and for the remainder of the day we were dropped off at a small beach with nothing to do and nowhere to go. They did offer involvement in water activities like canoeing and climbing certain rock formations and a exploration of a cave but with over 700+ steps to climb it did not appeal to us. So instead of just cruising around the bay being able to absorb the vista and enjoy the serenity we were forced to abandon the boat and dropped off at places filled with many other tourists. Bad Weather, No Overnight Cruise ”
Booked a 2D1N trip, but on our way to Halong didn't manage to stay overnight on board due to incoming bad weather, hence they relocated us back to somewhat 4 stars hotel (with nothing much you can do at night) as it's quiet area. On our arrival day, we just manage to do day-cruise, and apart from the scenic halong sea, only manage to visit Amazing cave, just one attraction activity. I checked other day-cruise offers, got additional activities like kayak, fish-village sightseeing, etc. So I felt, our trip is not worthy, and totally wasting our time, with nothing much done/accomplished. I rather they send us back to Hanoi on that night instead of staying for a day at halong land, free & easy doing nothing and wait for transfer back to Hanoi next afternoon... :(

Overall good experience, but room for improvement!”
Overall, I had a good experience with Majestic Tours. The boat was in good condition (with heating yay!). The meals were incredible! However, there could be some improvements made for the staff and itinerary. The tour guide was constantly on his phone and came across as rude at times. The itinerary for the second day could be revised. We were woken up far to early, given that we were back at the dock two hours early and just had to sit on the boat and wait until the drive arrived. Perhaps a 8:30am wake up call would've fit the schedule better than 6:30am. This would've resulted in less waiting around time and allowed the guests to be better rested.

I paid more for a deluxe twin room with windows on high floor. The Majestic cruise I was on had two floors, all have windows and all look the same except so I don't know where the 'deluxe' came from. I was assigned the bottom floor. The room was very small. Did not look like the one they showed on the web site at all. The boat was very old but the crew told us it was a "new" boat. A cochroach fell off my hair into the sink while I was brushing my teeth. The two towels in my cabin, one was clean, the other one was so filthy that it looked like it was used to mop the floor. There were stains on my bed that I did not want to find out what they were. The only free drink we got was the coffee/tea during breakfast. For the price I paid it's not worth it. I will not recommend this cruise to my friends.

Nice three day trip around Ha Long Bay”
To rate over everything I have to say I can recommand to go to this ship. There are some things let me say that the ship should only rated with 3 star and not 3 star. - in one of our rooms the toilet flush was not working, this room was also directly close to the engine room and it was very lou inside. But in the night the ship was not moving, so it was ok. And for the second night the offered me to change the room to upper level. - the check-out on the third day was already at 09:30 am. After we stayed still about 3 hours on the ship. There is only one public toilet for all the passengers - it is not enough! - from our leaving in Hanoi until back to there again we had 4 different guides. Always new people came and gone to and from the boat. I would prefer to travel with same group all the time. But ... great was: - the food on the ship was really great. The prices for drinks acceptable - the travelling program was great, we saw a lot and had enough time for relax and swim

Highly recommended. The vessel, rooms, staff, food and scenery were all absolutely top class. Good for families, couples and solo travelers. Great variety of dishes at mealtimes. Great itinerary of included excursions. Transport to and from Hanoi also top class. No complaints at all. Really very good all round.

Just had the most amazing tour. We were assisted from start to finish with amazing service, the food was to die for and we were a tiny group so had this he boat to ourselves. The rooms were so comfortable and the views magnificent!
