Winter break ”

We enjoyed our stay at Majika which was during the middle of our stay in Coron. It was nice to leave the loud and busy streets of Coron town for a stay on a secluded island. There were only three other couples staying at the time so it was very quiet. We upgraded to a cabana because the room felt cooler and was nicer. The rooms don't have air conditioning and are powered by solar power and a generator. We didn't mind this because the weather was nice in late December. The included breakfast was tasty and filling. The meals were about 500 pesos per person, but we were served large amounts of fresh and delicious food. There isn't a choice but there is always a seafood and meat entree with each meal. While there we enjoyed the kayaks and took them out to a floating dock and to a sunken ship for snorkeling. We also did a tour with Majika which took us to a sunken gunboat and a coral reef that was the nicest and most vibrant out of all of the places we saw while in Coron. The last part of the tour took us to Pass Island which was a small island with beautiful views and some snorkeling off the shoreline. One evening we went out with another couple and two staff members on the boat through the mangroves to see fireflies, stars, and bioluminescent plankton. We enjoyed our stay and our time with the staff who were so helpful and kind. We'd definitely go back.

Beautiful view and good service ”

Pros: Moderate price, Majika team staffs are really nice and professional, gorgeous view on the mountain Cons: No WIFI and very poor cellular signal, no hot water If you can accept the cons, I will definitely recommend you to stay in.

Great way to disconnect ”

What I really like about Majika is the excellent service that they have rendered. The staff are very nice and they will surely make you feel at home. The island is right across the reef and another island, which is a very beautiful sight especially when the sun is up. Network coverage is a challenge but for travelers like me who really want to disconnect and enjoy, this could be the place for you! I also like the fact that there's not much people around :) They're adding a lot of improvements but the basics are there. Great stay!

Sweet and deep seclusion”

We stayed at Majika's for about four days. The setting was absolutely gorgeous, with nice snorkeling nearby. The view at the end of the short walk above the beach was stunning and the hot springs were a real treat. The best part of Majika's was the kindness and playfulness of the staff. They were all extraordinarily lovable. The food was very good, very comforting, and always in abundance. It is, however, really the only option to eat in-house without a complicated journey to and back from Coron. Once at Majika's it is not convenient to go anywhere else. If you expect that level of seclusion and won't mind missing some of the comforts offered by fancier hotels, then you should find this place very endearing.

Good”

We choose Majika because of all the stellar reviews. We left after one night of a four night stay. The location is quite lovely. The staff is very attentive and make arrangements for all sorts of adventures. The cottages were rustic and clean. They disclose that there is no electricity during the day....so if you are adventuring during the day, then this is not a problem. If you are there in the summer during the day as we were, you will not have fans or A/C in the stifling heat. The grounds need some maintenance and they have some construction underway. There is a family with young kids, dogs, roosters and the like that live on the island. If you like an authentic secluded Philippine hostel like adventure experience, then this might be your place. If you and/or your significant other like to stay in Marriott Hotel like places, then look elsewhere.

It ist breathtakingly beautyful at Majika and everyone ist so friendly and helpful that you really feel yourself heartwarmingly welcomed. But if you expect a european 5-stars-standart Majika is not the right place for you to.

disppointing room but excellent facilities”

a little far from Coron Town. the room is clean but can find bed biters and ants because of the bamboo walls. Soundproof is not so good and you can hear clear sounds from outside. But the view is so good and facilities is sufficient for your relaxation with basket ball, beach volleyball, table tennis, and billiards, you can also go to a small hot spring, and hike island or diving since there is a small coral garden at the front of island.

Camping or a Hotel”

This hotel is basically getting away from the world for a couple of days. The rooms have no AC, no cell phone reception, no electricity during the day, your limited to the food that is on the resort. Stay at Coron town at least at night you can go to a bar as opposed to talking to a dog in the rain at Majika Resort.

Very good”

Very good spot for everyone who wants to have a break from society... amazing nature surrounding you with next human facility 30min by boat. Staff extremely friendly and very good food in own kitchen... Not so postive: facility is a bit old and requires renovation and the pool was under construction, shops closed and no diving (a must in that area) possible as the instructor wasn't available .

I appreciate kindly owner.tour is excellent. On other hand room is not comfortable, because nothing air conditioner and sometimes stop a shower.
