We arrived and were immediately greeted with friendliness abound. The room was spacious and the kids loved the a-frame accommodations. Food at the restaurant was delicious. The staff was incredibly helpful and filled with knowledge about local NZ culture.

Remote but accessible ”
Loved having no phone signal, really enjoyed seeing the stars, and the local walks. Great food & happy hour at the bar, lovely friendly service. Room was warm, fire plugged in, shared kitchen area clean and tidy as were the toilets. Thank you for a great stay

Middle Of Nowhere”
If you are driving long distance from Queenstown to Fox Glacier this would be an ideal place to put up to break your journey. No radio, internet nor TV. Great place to bring your kids who are hooked up to technology. Rooms okay but bathroom a bit small with a fixed shower head where you can't get a proper bath.

The location is e cellent, but the accomodation is average, the chalet’s need serious upgrading. The staff are good and helpful. If you want a base great, but be aware the accomodation is very average.

No extras. No internet. Brown water in the hand basin Lowe shower head.”
No physical contact at all with staff. Lights missing bulbs. Overpriced for what are very basic amenities. Unit was clean and heating was adequate.

Where is the wonder at Wonderland?”
On the positive side, we had clean linen and hot showers and internet. Registration staff was cooking for the restaurant and so we had to wait 15 minutes before receiving the keys at eight in the evening. I was also expecting a night’s sleep, but there was a drunken party going on outside our cabin until 3 am. I complained to the noisy neighbours at 0030, to no avail. Our second night was quiet and we slept. Management offered us a discount in the restaurant which we declined and a move to another cabin for the second night. We were too tired to move, or hike or do anything. One vacation day was ruined. i wonder if this is a recurring problem as staff knew exactly who was partying and who their local employer was. This place should be avoided.

Beautiful wilderness area. Unfortunately the services advertised were not available. No food no cafe, no bar no restaurant. Very dissapointed that they didnt tell us before we arrived without food. No staff available. Shared kitchen lounge just wasnt clean.
