Disappointed with the Night Staff at the Reception”

I was very disappointed with the night shift reception staff (Dec. 22) when me and my husband bought a cup noodles and 1 bottled water, when they gave me the change, I reacted that the 2 pcs P200 don't looked the same but since I've been out of the country for quite a while, I didn't know that one of the P200 bill was already demonitized, it was only when we went to Robinsons mall, the restaurant attendant told me that the P200 bill was demonitized long time ago.... maybe I don't know that but I doubt that the staf didn't know also... How Disappointing...

If you want to stay somewhere near LB for relaxation, this is a good place for you.”

Pros: Quiet place, very green, spacious pool area, helpful staff Cons: Villas (at least the one I got) are missing wardrobes or something where I can hang my clothes. AC units are not maintained properly, was not able to adjust the thermostat manually. Overall: Surprised with the room I got for the price I paid. Wasn't able to use the pool due to time constraints but it was a great stay nevertheless. Just need to improve some equipment, and this will be a top pick for people traveling to Laguna.

The place is relatively good. Fresh air, good ambiance, friendly staff, nice pool at recreation facilities. Although my issue is more on CR has limited space, no videt and slightly cold water. (Villa room)

The place is very clean and with helpful and very efficient staff that deserves a pay rise. Highly recommended place. The only downturn is the difficult transport when commuting. without private transport it is hard to get around.

    Disappointed”

Though the place was quiet and nice, the amenities are of no good. We expect to swim on night but upon arriving, there was no water on all of the pools. The water on the shower are very hot. We can't even use it to brush our teeth. Will not recommend this.

DO NOT BOOK IN MAKILING HIGHLANDS RESORT”

it was ok. Value for money”

decided to look for a staycation at a place where we could enjoy hot springs if we want to, enjoy nature and quiet time while celebrating the christmas eve. The experience was OK. we get what we paid for, but the pools were not well cleaned and the hot springs were only lukewarm. Still, we got what the rest and the solitude that we wanted inasmuch as christmas eve was celebrated mostly in homes thus there were only a few people there. I cannot imagine the place during regular weekends...

    Epic Fail”

    Breakfast was delivered on time

Every move means money. We are four in the family. My husband, me, my 4 year old daughter and my 5month old baby. The hotel asked us to pay for an additional person because they said we are 4. They want us to pay for our 4 year old daughter who shares bed with us. We have been in better and bigger hotels and we have never experienced being charged for a child more so for an infant. Insane! We invited about 3guests over just for a quick chat in our hotel room, since it was hard to bring the children around considering the heavy rain and transportation issues. The hotel staff asked us to pay 250pesos for each just because they entered and did not pay for a hut or cabana. It was a horrible experience and not worth the amount we paid!

Good staff, good location, clean rooms

We got a good deal and it's worth it. My only comment is just that they dont have a bar or resto and it seems that there is not much to do but swim, especially in the evening. The staff were kind enough to direct us to their other resort which is just a 2-minute drive, so we would rather directly go there next time instead.

nature lover, cleanliness is well maintained, affordable price

We arrived 2hrs earlier and since the room is available the staff let us stay immediately in our designated room. Surprisingly our departure time didnt adjusted as what they say. The room was a bit small for us (couple with a 4yr old kid. The room was clean though. Super nature lover, lot of trees but still the cleanliness maintained. The kids pool was good for it is 3ft high and hotspring no worries if my daughter will get cold. We ordered our food to max resto on the contrary he food serves fast and still very hot. We enjoy our stay and definitely we'll go back. It's the best for simple family outing, we dont know how to swim well that's why the depth of the pool is not a big deal for us. it's the safety and the corteousness of the staff that make us delighted. :)

    1. It's affordable for an overnight stay. 2. Location: accessible If you're from Pasay City. One ride only from the bus terminal. 3. Cleanliness: the room and surroundings were clean. 4. Staff: Very friendly and accommodating. 5. Facilities: It needs improvement. Main pool was a bit cold at night however the smaller one is hot spring. Shower in the room we stayed was a little cold too. Too bad we have to check-out early.

They have enough pools, karaoke, and space for biking. I like how they adjust the temperature of the pools suitable for overnight soaking! Only catch is the food. Bring your own food! The rooms are quiet small but worth the price . Generally clean!

    Whole experience is good”

Pros: Resort is clean and well maintained. Villas and rooms are well planned/situated. A classy vibes at a low price. The couple room we had is okay. Small but clean and just few steps away from the swimming pools. Residential area outside the resort where there are sari-sari stores that you can buy food and other stuff. They have corkage fees on food and drinks. Just be creative in hiding ur outside purchases :) Cons: TV reception is poor (but who needs tv anyway during vacation). Front desk receptionists do not know how to follow their rule of first come first serve basis. While waiting for our room to be ready, we witnessed a large group came for a check-in and one staff offered multiple rooms which group agrees. But when the same staff is going to book the rooms for the group, there's this another staff who booked one of the rooms which was already offered to the large group that came first and made the booking first. There should have only one making the room reservation/booking.

Power Outlets are intentionally fixed in a high location where no one can use to. There must be a good explanation or rational behind that. No electric pots to heat water for noodles or coffee. Hence staff are courteous and honest to inform the guests on what are the expectations. management should revisit and review the policy and features and freebies or inlcusions on the facilities from the room to the pool.
