Quiet and clean place in Panglao”
If you want a good night sleep. I would recommend Makoto Resort. It's walking distance to Alona Beach.

comfort is good -- decor, ambiance is zilch!”
pool, staff, ac
makoto resort's "saving graces" are the friendliness and 'graciousness--main reception person, the location, ac, hot water shower, english-channel tv, and the pool--it is quite small, yet clean, and relaxing for me when i wanted to stretch in the water.. what's left is the room....which i was so very ready to pass on, and decided to go ahead and give it a try. i am glad i did. the downfalls: the half-broken toilet seat: one side-hinge held it to the bowl, while the other moveable. there are not enough outlets. the barking dogs, the crowing roosters. and the worst: the rough and very rocky and pot-holed road-- there is no lighting. provided a flashlight for my use. there is no breakfast provided, nor a place next door to eat--one needs to walk out to the main and a little further, or walk down to the beach. the last item is purely 'taste' or something visually pleasing or not! the pillowcases, the sheets, the comforter (given upon request): all were of different print and different color yet clean. makoto resort certainly falls short of its name and, and his parents are truly 'good people.' their friendliness and desire to help is real and felt. they make the difference!
