Beautiful escape far from the crowds”
If you're looking for a place to relax, away from the hustle of the crowds of G. Luna, this is the place for you. It's a good 30 minutes away from Cloud 9 by tricycle (best if you rent your own bike). It's best for some peace and quiet. The staff are friendly and the food is good.

The resort is nice but it's located 30-40 mins away from the action”
I like the resort and the villa. It's spacious and the bed is comfortable. However, it's located 30-40 mins away from the General Luna-Cloud 9 area. We had to spend a lot for transportation rent because the usual tricycle drivers don't want to go to the resort as the road is still very dark, no lights. I would also suggest to have wifi in the room or even a TV as there is literally nothing to do.

Very good”
The place itself is beautiful. This resort has it’s own beach than we enjoyed. The Villas are right in front of the beach. Spacious, simple and classy. Just the way i like it. However, the aircon wasnt working properly and they dint bother to do something and just said that that’s just how it is. Our villa also didnt have a center light so it’s dark in the evening. The food’s okay. I liked their longanisa breakfast and my boyfriend loved their healthy option and fish steak. The location is 45mins from the main area and you will need to rent a motorcycle to be able go to places conviniently. The customer service is disappointing. There are numbers of amenities and facilities that are said to be available in this resort, but are not. They dont have enough staff. Seems like their 1 or 2 staffs are only available in the morning. sometimes only the owners are present. And most of the time, theres nobody at all. No 24hrs security, no wifi, and etc..

Exceptional”
Absolutely beautiful! Stunning views, warm hospitality, and peace & quiet. A great place to go and unplug, and bond with family. Food was simple and delicious. We would definitely go back! One thing we realized we missed out on was the Magpupungko Tide Pools which are relatively nearby :) Budget at least 30 mins travel time (via trike) to the main area of General Luna :)

This is a family run business.Nice folks ready to help but you shouldn't expect resort level service”
Positives: *Beautiful property, on beach front, with a small uninhabited island in front that u can visit. *Picturesque views from the front porch *Quiet location far from the tourist buzz *Host help us find and rent scooter during our short stay Negatives we experienced during our stay: *Paid for AC room but got FAN, as the cooling unit was not working during our stay. *The patio lock wasn't properly working *Water pressure at the shower was low *Found termites in the room and bed. *Some of the things inside the bungalow weren't properly clean Wishlist: *Lifevests for easy snorkeling *Toilet watergun (bidet spray)

Heaven”
I have travelled a lot and I don't think I have ever written a review but every now and again you come an across an absolute gem. I was flying solo for three weeks and my last week stop was at Makulay and it couldn't have been more pleasant. To put it simply it was heaven, Catharina, Bin (aka ding dong) and Camilla looked after me so well. As a solo traveller and the only guest at the time I couldnt have asked for any more. I could bang on and on but what makes this place special are the hosts, the setting and the family feel which you very rarely get, especially considering the host, Catharina has spent years in designing and creating a very special place and one that will be hard to beat in the Philippines. It goes without saying I would highly recommend staying here, go for the large Villa, the pictures don't do it justice! I will be going back there on my honeymoon if not before! Many thanks. Will
