Above and Beyond...Can't wait to go back!”
This review is long over due! Anyway, this was the first place that I stayed in during my two week solo travel. It's my first time staying in a dorm/mixed dorm and i'm really happy that I stayed here. I felt safe and secure. Their dorm was clean and AC was working well. Also, I did my PADI OWC here! Shout out to Mark who assisted and answered all my questions via email like three months before my trip! Shout out to everyone in the front desk, they were all super friendly and helpful, thank you for helping me keeping my bed when decided to extend my stay so I can finish my PADI OWC! Shout out to the people in the restaurant that I get to talk to whenever I'm there. To everyone who helped and assisted us during our dives, thank you for keeping us safe. And of course, to my Dive Master, Kuya Cleng! Thank you for teaching me and my dive buddy everything we need to learn and know about diving. And for introducing and showing us the beauty of the ocean and everything in it! :) Thanks!

amazing stay!”
we really enjoyed our stay at Thresher Cove Dive Resort; the staff was super friendly and helpful, also very professional (reception, management, dive base); the room we stayed in (the lookout) was hands down the best, nicest place we ever stayed in so far, very clean, big shower with hot water, balcony with sea view . The athmosphere was super relaxed, positive and friendly, with a good mix of families on vacacion, couples who travel, (solo) backpackers,... we felt very welcome. malapascua itself is also amazing, beautiful beaches, good food around the Island, good diving, friendly locals, we would definitely recommend going there and staying at thresher cove!

Good place as we wanted serene and quiet location ...they maintain good cleanliness we got our room upgraded free to Villa, which added to our comfort during stay. We found food to be better than expected as has good options for vegetarians. Like to give a tip - if you are taking boat from Maya Port to Malapascua island try to negotiate, with boat captain to drop you directly at Thresher Cove resort beach, if will be very convenient if you are with family and kids or bigger group with luggage as well.

All of the staff is really friendly and accommodating. They have a pool, private beach, a few workout equipments, billiards, restaurant and you can take a boat ride and tag along with those people who's going for scuba diving, you can rent snorkel and fins for 250 + 150 boat ride, you can free dive!. Everything is already there pretty much, the place is amazing overall!

Scuba Trip”
The resort was great for diving. The dorm was comfortable and clean. The dive boat takes you straight from the resort. Really good diving and friendly, helpful staff.

very professional operation”
With a private beach, huge swimming pool, comfortable dorm beds, and a quality restaurant, this is a good place to stay. I came for 3 days and stayed 6. It is far from the port, take a motorcycle taxi (30 pesos). Likewise a taxi to "town "is good on hot days. Food id expensive ,it's a remote island. There is local food by the entrance, and a backpackers menu at the restaurant that is cheaper and good. It's all about diving, training, and trips. There is only one trip that is ok for snorkeling. Otherwise, chill.

Beautiful and quite place, highly recommended for divers!”
The resort is very nice and clean. It is located a bit aside from the village and therefore recommended for traveller's who are looking for a nice spot for do some diving. However everything on this island can be reached withing a 10 min motorbike ride. The people working there are the best! Helping out where ever they can and trying to make everything possible!

This is a great little place and an excellent diving experience. I first stayed in a mixed dorm room. Comfy bed and aircon. Perfect. Breakfast is good. Staff are lovely. Helpful and very friendly. Dive masters and crew were very professional and super nice. When I arrived they were cleaning up after Typhoon Ursula. The place was a mess, but they did a great job. Lots of hard work.

love everything about this place -- friendly staff, spacious & homey villa (Captain's Villa) right in front of the beach, strict safety measures, and unforgettable dives with sharks. hope they add more food options in the future.

Beautiful resort, awesome dive shop and the absolute best staff!! ”
I was so happy I chose to stay and dive at thresher cove. It was so nice to be on the quietest part of the island! The food was good, the dive team was knowledgeable and understanding, and all of the staff were so kind. The only suggestion I would make would be to improve the dorm rooms even if it means a price increase. The other rooms were very nice. Thank you Thresher Cove!!!

Quiet place for a real good relax time on the beach”
I am not a diver. Went to the diving resort for its unbelievable value deal staying in an on the beach cabin. Perhaps partly due to the low season, the beach is really quite with only a few guest, with gated surrounding and 24 hour security guard on the beach, the beach laydown chairs under the big trees in front of my cabin were perfect to lay down, gazing into the sea and the countless tree leaves, touched by the soft ocean breeze, wandering into a half dreamy state, lost in a timeless domain, gave in to relieve and forget, day and night. That is what I got and you can, for a laughable scratch on the bank still come with free biz breakfast everyday. There is one catch, the little island has little freshwater resource, tap water is salty. I had to get the 5 galon drinking water for shower end fresh water rinse at clse to 70 peso per bottle. Still, what a deal! Perfect for stress relieve. Highly recommended for non-divers, those looking for quite ocean view, soft touching breeze.

Great stay”
Our stay at the resort as well as the dives were really amazing, highly recommended. Highlights: - Very kind and helpful Staff (both diving and non-diving) - Dives at El Gato Island tunnel and Monad Shoal (Thresher sharks!) Could be improved: - Communication: There was supposed to be an intro session at 6pm the day we arrived, but it didn’t take place and there wasn’t any info about it. It would have been nice to learn more about the dive sites before signing up on the board - Pre-dive buddy checks: On the boat, the staff was very helpful for the gear preparation and set up. However they urged us to jump in the water without giving much time for a proper buddy check. Since it is about basic safety I would suggest improving this point.

Nice little secret in Malapascua ”
We booked the Captain’s villa on a crazy discount. Big comfy bed! Amenities were great but the suite was so big they could utilize the space more. The toilet had a few problems like a leak and weak water pressure but considering it’s a bit dated and we’re on an island, we didn’t really mind. The staff were nice and accommodating. It takes a motorbike ride to go to the main beach but there’s always one available. Although the listing says free bike ride but we never got that and they said they weren’t aware of it. It’s a good, private location, both great if you wanna dive with them or just wanna chill. Food was absolutely fantastic!!

Great diving, off Bounty Beach, quiet.”
In it's own cove, away from the bustle of Bounty Beach. Diving team and boat team very good, friendly, professional and at your service. Dive sites good (you don't HAVE to go to Gato island) with either/and nice walls, nice muck, nice corals), made 14 happy dives even though I am not a muck fan. Food good (could strengthen the choice a bit). F&B staff good too. Room (deluxe) good, nice size and clean. Nice pool for relaxing and training. To get this place perfect: get a few loungers or chairs and tables to relax on. Some hammocks. Give the outside a coat of paint (inside already done). Thanks for 6 pleasant days, despite the rain and bad visi for the thresher sharks. We met some nice people as well.

Best resort in malapascua”
Diving couple, 4 night. Pros. Amazing resort with a huge pool and a scenic private beach. Very good restaurant and included breakfast. And a super professional dive shop on site. Did 11 dives together and enjoyed every one. Recommended dive master Onel, he was the best. Cons WiFi didn’t reach our room. Dives are a bit pricey. Malapascuan showers feels exactly like the sea. And the hot shower is not stable
