If you don't mind the sand, Mali-Mali would be a great place to stay! With the bar right outside your room, you can chill out with your friends right by the beach! Staff was friendly and helpful as well, really enjoyed interacting with them. The toilets in the standard rooms could be better, but wasn't really an issue to us. However, compared to the family room, it is a vast difference. If you are one of those that are particular about your washroom, opt for the family room. The location is great as well, only about 10-15mins drive from the airport! There is a restaurants right outside the resort which I highly recommend! Overall, I would say it is value for money especially if you are a beach goer! Would love to stay there again on my next trip to Langkawi.

Mali Mali beach resort, is really value for money, (for us, at least) the room was spacious and clean just beside the beach bar and then there was the beautiful beach... The beach bar is nice, on Wednesday they had live singing... And anyone can just join in the fun... Dance or sing along.. Needless to say... I enjoyed my stay in langkawi.

This is my second stay at Mali Mali, this time in one of the newly reovated rooms. As a beach resort Mali hits the button, any closer and you would be swimming, a good size on suite room, plenty of hot water at high pressure. For cleaning you must leave you key at reception, depending on arrival/departures it will be done eventually. It has a bar on the beach with deckchairs and beanbags. There is a good choise of restaurants and mini markets close by. I would reccommend thr Orckid Ka 20 yards away for seafood and other choises, but book one day in advance for an evening meal.

I was amazed by the kalut bar activities at night which really located next to mali mali beach resort. For those who likes to chill till mid night, this is the best place to stay. its located just by the beach, open the door and enjoy the sunset. Very convenient to get local food and duty free store in just walking distance.

good location and lively hotel”
I use to stay at malibest when i go to Langkawi but the hotel is under renovation and i choose mali mali to try. It was a good choice. the location is superb and the price is a very good value for your money with a very nice beach and small swimming pool for the youngs. In front of the hotel there is a good restaurant for food and actually there are too many restaurant to choose around that area. Breakfast also easy ... lots of choices. The beach bar hut at the beach is the best at that area serving a good yummy chicken wings. You can relax at nite at the beach and chatting .... the room is a bit sandy due to its location at the beach ... get a broom .... all in all i am very satisfied with the hotel and will come again on my next visit.

Underrated gem!”
Wonderful! The staff were extremely gracious and provided for our needs instantly with no question. The sand was at our doorstep and if the ocean wasn't want one may have wanted that day, there was a pool. It was very small, but a refreshing difference from the sea. The only downside had nothing to do with the hotel. The ocean has jellies, and an occasional sting, although not bad enough to ruin such a beautiful location, was a bit of a downer. But go to Mali Mali, where the staff will treat you like a Prince, where the sunsets are beautiful and where talented musicians serenade you in chairs just outside your door.

I picked Mali-Mali because according to Agoda, it is located by the beach and indeed it is. The friendly staff in the reception even offered me the room nearest to the beach which I delightly accepted. They have this bar by the beach as well where u can order cocktails, beers and all. The bar plays music so its a good experience. I did enjoy staying here.

Good Location for your money”
Mali Mali Hotel is a small but cozy hotel right on the Beach strip. Rooms are basic equipped and could use a softer matress. AC was nice and cold and the hot shower was lovely. For the price tou pay it is value for the money as you wont spend much time in the room while exploring this lovely island. The beach bar is also very relaxed with a friendly staff ready to serve you. All in all if you need a place to sleep thats right on the beach then Mali Mali is for you. But if luxury is more your thing then there are plenty of other options for alot more money.

Worth the money (if you book for cheaper)”
If you would like to stay at Mali-Mali Beach Resort, get ready for the sand, because the beach is really near to the rooms. There are two type of room: the old ones and the freshly built ones. The old ones are bigger, you have wardrobe, and a lot of space, but the condition of the bathroom is not so good (at least in the room we first stayed). The new ones are smaller, you don't have a gardrobe, but the bathroom is clean and fresh. Both room type have small fridges even they don't say on their site. The bar of the hotel is really expensive (you can buy a beer for the third of the price in the tax free shop, which are not far away) and everything else. The beach is clean, and safe, and there are a lot of restaurants too.

I had a great stay here at Mali-Mali Beach Resort. The environment and convenience is on top of the list, except the cleanliness of the room can be improved. Guess it's because of the sand around that made the room really sandy. Thank you for the pleasant stay!

Mali mali guesthouse is right where you need to be if you want to sit on the beach on beanbags with cold beer listening to Reggae and watching the stunning sunset. The room is clean and the bed was comfortable. Will be back

Its was the best location and convenient for travelers. Its right end of Pantai Cenang where you can find the shop and restaurants. The best right infront few steps away. Not regret for stayed in Mali Mali. Its better for find some broom to frequently sweep the room floor as it would be sandy. There will be no broom in every room. Hopefully the management should provide broom in every room.

Two Young Couples 4 Day Stay”
Unfortunately we arrived a day late to Langkawi as our flight was cancelled due to haze. The staff at Mali Mali were very understanding and had our rooms ready when we arrived later than expected. Mali Mali is in a great location directly on the beach and the staff are eager to help and booked some great excursions for us.

Brilliant value for money on the beach. The rooms is very basic, but that is all I need. Is you overlook the basic room and the old nature of the resort, you are blessed to be in the heart of so many great food options from the cheap local food two doors down to up market quality fresh seafood a only minutes away. But the hidden gem is the night life in Mali Mali, cannot give it all away, but I was overwhelmed on how cool this place was at night and the crowds it draws in.

Strategic and very near to the beach”
This is actually my second time stay in Mali Mali Beach Resort. This time I got a better room compared to the first time it was too small. The only thing I dislike was there's only 1 pillow provided for each bed (I requested for 2 single beds). It's very near to the beach (walking distance). There's a small pool provided for guests. It's very near to a bar (walking distance). If you're looking for a quiet place this is definitely not a place for you. Other than that I think everything was okay.

We had a great time at Mali Mali. Excellent value for money and great location right on the beach. Probably not the best option if you like it quiet at night time. overall a great affordable hotel.
