A perfect stay in our Grand Pool Villa”
We loved our stay at Malisa Villa. The hotel staff were wonderful: reception, concierge, house keeping, maintenance & catering staff were all an absolute pleasure to deal with. At check-in we were warmly greeted with a welcome drink & various vouchers we could redeem throughout our stay. Our Grand Pool Villa was gorgeous and exactly as the website photos - HUGE bed that was extremely comfortable, lovely bathroom with fantastic spa & rain shower, and outdoor kitchen / lounge area overlooking the completely private pool (with water feature wall & night lighting) :) In-villa breakfast had something for every taste and it was a real treat having the lovely food served personally to us in our villa each morning. Malisa Villa really had thought of everything to make our stay as comfortable, enjoyable and worry-free as possible; from in-room mosquito repellent, to rain umbrellas, apple computer system and loofah sponges. House-keeping was immaculate and the complimentary mini-bar offered was such a unique and much-appreciated gesture. The hotel grounds were beautiful and perfectly kept and at night time the tree lighting and misty pond feature at the hotel entrance made coming and going a pleasure. Location was good, close to many restaurants, money exchanges, mini markets, tuk tuks and various clothes / cosmetics shops and it was also an easy walk up the road to Central Kata (other than for the strip of massage parlours right out front which you must walk through each day) and less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. We certainly would recommend Malisa Villa to others looking for a completely private, excellent value for money stay in Kata. One thing to note: neither the villas themselves, nor the grounds, have an outlook / view and there is no hotel pool if you wish to relax in a wider space with a drink at hand (we did feel a little claustrophobic at times).

very private and tranquil”
we had a fantastic stay at malisa villa suites. was worth the extra money paid for the privacy. the pool villa is plenty big enough for 2 people. the rooms are large with a spa bath and open shower and air conditioned. having breakfast cooked for us each morning in the villa is fantastic and then they come back later and clean it up. there is free internet on the tv and the mini bar although not free is stocked with items that are the same price as any 7/11 or minimart. the location of the villa's is at the end of a nice soi that has some nice restaurants & markets. the only annoying thing about the soi is the tailors who always hassle you. just smile and say no thank you and keep walking. shops & many eateries and the beach are all within a small walking distance so you are close to everything you need. the staff at malisa are very nice and welcoming. nothing is too much trouble for them. (not that we had to ask for anything really). the on site spa is also very good and they offer great discounts so is worth it. we asked for a late check out due to our flight leaving in the early evening and this was granted with no problems. the staff also gave us a birthday/wedding anniversary cake, which was lovely. highly recommend the malisa villa suites, especially if you really want some peace and privacy. can't wait to go back and stay with them again.

a pampered holiday”
We were welcomed by the courteous hotel receptionist the moment we stepped into the hotel lobby. We were given a flower bracelet corsage to wear on wrist,a cold towel & fresh tropical fruit juice to chill our body especially in the hot mid day.The concierge service is excellent, they use golf cart to send us to our room even though it's less than a min walk from lobby-this is awesome, we felt pampered the moment we landed at the hotel. The villa is so spacious with amazing thai design. There's a little garden behind the bathroom that provides a scene of greenery in the villa, only things is there's no shield to cover the window in bathroom.I'm amazed with the floral decoration in Malisa hotel, they placed flower everywhere in the room & porch, the environment is so soothing with the smell of sliced pandan leave everywhere-I loved this clasical thai style in Malisa Villa. The hotel staff brought us a laptop for personal use in room with free wifi, that's so convenient. The concierge will come to our room with the golf cart to send us to the street-that's wonderful, safe my energy walking out.As soon as we come out from the hotel, food outlet & bar is all along the street.Overall,we felt truly pampered staying in Malisa Villa Suite & it's such a relaxing & wonderful trip at Phuket.

Great hotel for our anniversary”
we really enjoyed our stay at malisa. the room was beautiful and we loved all the amenities. my favorite was the bathroom, with the rain shower and jacuzzi. breakfast in our villa was really good. try the phuket menu or vegetarian menu. we also received a cake to celebrate our anniversary! the only downside was the mosquitoes. there were small holes in the screen in the bathroom, and cracks in the doors that mosquitoes were able to get in. the hotel is also not on the beach, so you have to walk a little to get to it. not far though. kata beach was more crowded than i expected. all in all, a very relaxing vacation.

great location!”
this is hotel is perfect for honeymooners! complete privacy and very clean rooms. it is located in the kata area of phuket, which is really nice; touristy but nowhere near as crazy as patong or bangla road. so if your looking for a very sexy/private room, and away from the insanity of patong, malisa is the way to go. it is a 5 minute walk from kata beach, 15 minute tuk-tuk/ cab ride to patong, which is excellent.again, perfect for honeymooners and those looking for privacy without being too far from all the action. would definitely go there again.

Best stay ever at Malisa Suites! Must try it out!”
this was the 2nd time returning back to malisa just shortly 1 month after. love the place! private moments with ur friends/love ones in the villa and also have ur own private pool for exclusive usage. the villas are also near to kata beach which is easily walkable! the chambermaids are very honest.. as we just left our valuables such as laptops, cameras, mobile phones and some cash on the side table during cleaning, nothing has gone missing!(of cos its always recommended to keep in a safe or ur own bag) i will definately return back to the villa again, if i am heading to phuket again.. most importantly, value for money! and thumb up for the relaxation there!

Great hotel and would love to go back again!!”
Cons: Terrible experience with food in Kata beach. Firstly the food at Malisa was not great. We barely finished our lunch, which is rare for us who have ravenous appetite. Even worse experience at the Momo seafood restaurant that is just outside the hotel. Had 2 days of diarrhoea after eating some cooked seafood from this restaurant. Turned out we have to cancel our phi phi island tour that we've already paid for. Momo was one of the restaurant recommended by the people at Malisa. Nonetheless, Malisa is still a great villa for honeymoon as proven by my picky partner who refuse to go to phuket and turned out loving it because of the villa.

Malisa Villa Suites Hotel”
We stayed 3 nights in July 2009 in the Malisa, Kata Beach in a pool villa. The room was beautiful, the bathroom worthy of taking pictures of, outdoor shower, full kitchen, and relaxation area. We had free mini-bar and full in-villa breakfast included in our package. The chef came at the requested time and cooked a huge selection of food based on what we chose the previous day. Even the coffee was good, which in Thailand is not always the case. There was lots of little shops for massage, manicures/pedicures, shopping, and dinning right outside the hotel for very cheap so you don't have to take a taxi or walk far for stuff when you are feeling lazy.

Beautiful way to end our trip”
After a 3 week trip around Thailand we decided (after a glowing review from a good friend) to spend our last two nights at The Malisa Villa Suites Hotel. We were incredibly happy we decided to do this and will certainly be staying at Malisa when we're next in Thailand. From the moment we arrived the staff made every effort to provide us with impeccable service and to ensure we were always comfortable. We were lucky enough to be upgraded upon arrival to a Grand villa suite and loved the villa. The rooms were beautifully designed and well appointed, the pool was especially enjoyed. We tried the spa on our second day and whilst my partner was disappointed with his massage, we were both very happy with the salt scrub and royal honey facials. I don't paticularly like Phuket in general but these villas were really a cut above the rest.

gorgeous villa. ”
Gorgeous place. Very upmarket. Fabulous accommodating staff. Walk out into the shops and great beach. Our pool was huge and had a waterfall. The whole villa was breathtaking. Lovwd the private chef preparing our breakfast each morning in our open air lounge by the pool at no extra cost. Apple mac computer on the tv with free wireless. This is not for families as only one large bedrrom opening onto the pool and garden. Fabulous for couples. Kata beach is grat not so crowded geanted we went out of season beginning og august. The weather was excellent. Qe woukd highly rwcomend Malisa beyond our expectations.

Wonderful resort”
This is one of the best resort I've ever stayed in. The service is amazing and I felt like a princess. Knowing that mosquitoes might be an issue, staffs dilligently go villa to villa to spray insecticides. Breakfast in the morning was as wonderful. The staff will come over and prepare breakfast in your kitchen. Food is slightly saltish but good. Villa itself is beautiful! It looks much better than it is shown in any of the photos! The bathroom area is incredible too! Recommended if you are looking for a resort that is value for money for its price! We've in fact, looked around the other resorts of the same price range, we are glad that we have chosen Malisa!

Unique”
Malisa Villa Suites is like it sounds, only villa suites. But compared to the Villas in other hotels, this could be on of the cheapest. The hotel is at Kata beach which is a little far away from Patong beach (Where it is usually busy). That's why I only stayed 2 nights, and most of the time I was in my Villa. They don't serve buffet breakfast, only private breakfast in room, which was still tasty. The hotel also provides complimentry internet in room and complimentry laptops if available. I didn't get my laptop :(

A Wonderful Thai Vacation Location”
The stay at Malisa was an absolutely memorable one. The environment and the exclusivity of its location (even the local taxi driver had a tough time finding the place while driving us there from the airport) were both above our expectations. Despite its exclusivity, shopping, dinning and drinking locations are all easily accessible through short distance walk outside of the resort. In addition, the short distance to the beautiful Kata Beach is another bonus to the resort.

Nice enough”
we definitely do not regret staying at malisa villa's, but there were quite a few big frustrations with the place. first of all - location, fantastic, kata beach is much more exclusive than karon beach, much cleaner, much nicer restaurants and shopping. i would definitely come back to kata. villas - it was beautiful walking into our villa, with the whole set up, the nice pool, outside areas, big bed and modern bathroom. checkin - we arrived at our hotel and had to lug our own bags up to reception. no porter in sight. we got garlands and a drink which was lovely. however, other people were coming in and they would interrupt our checkin, to talk to other people, to talk on the phones, which we found disrespectful. they showed us to our room and we enjoyed the day there. smoking - we were enjoying ourselves outside in the pool, until we got neighbours. we specifically requested non-smoking room, as my husband has asthma. in any case, our noisy neighbours were chain smokers. so we had to retreat inside the bedroom, but because there are large gaps between and under the doors, the smoke was coming inside too. in my opinion, if someone asks for non-smoking, the villa should not be over a 2m from smokers as natrually the smoke will wift right over. this was quite disappointing to us. they ended up moving us into another room with no neighbours. in this room, it was obvious that people had smoked inside before us. they tried to mask this smell with strong perfume smells. staff - the staff that we came across were lovely, everyone was nice and friendly, english not too good which made it very difficult to communicate at times. however, there must have been a drastic shortage of staff, because there were so many service problems. * out of the four nights, only once did someone bother to do a turn down service - this was a big deal, because there are many mosquitoes here and they were supposed to spray the room at turn down service. three evenings noone cam

3 Weeks at Malisa - An honest review”
We were on our honeymoon and we decided to stay at Malisa for 3 weeks in the Grand Pool Villa. Our plane was delayed by 10hrs. I notified the hotel and they got a cab for us which was great. Arriving at night, the hotel seems just like the pictures. Very clean, new and luxurious. However, after a while, you slowly realise a few things require maintenance, such as leaks when it rains, 2 out of 4 pool lights work, semi-warm water available in hot-tub (shower was fine), sliding door slightly crooked. None of these are major, except for the mould that we identified in the airconditioner, which was promptly removed. Over look these few issues and the place is lovely. The staff provided wonderful service, the pool is a great size for two people, there is a lot to chose from on the breakfast menu and the mini bar is free. The LCD is 32-inch which is fine for the bedroom. They have a selection of DVDs, books and games at the gym. The hotel is situated in a great location on Kata Beach. Other reviews that say the beach is along way probably have been spoiled with beach side resorts. It is a 5-minute powerwalk from the front desk. We ordered food from the Nanta restaurant and always ate at the Villa. We saw one couple dine in the restaurant only one night. When we ordered food it was good but not excellent. The prices are high, similar to what you would pay for a restaurant meal in Australia, but not a hotel meal (more expensive). Watch out at breakfast. The birds will quick swoop your danish and egg and bacon. Having an outdoor kitchen has it's draw backs. The walls are pretty thin, as we experiences a very vocal Spanish speaking couple who played loud music and spoke at the top of their voices. Otherwise, it was very quiet. We had maybe two mozzies the whole time we were there, although we made sure the doors to the bedroom were always closed. The hotel did some fumigation twice while while we were there, plus they come and spray your roo

Malisa Villa is a class of its own”
The hotel left us with a deep impression of a 5 star Villa Resort with a Private Touch. We were first greeted by my surname by a enthusiastic staff at the lobby even before we can speak. Welcome drink and a cool towel was serve almost immediately after we have set down for registration. Decoration was tastefully done in its surroundings. Malisa Staff then drove us in the buggy to our Villa. We were astonished by the villa Size in the cheapest category. No doubt as per in the plan layout, everything was in there and functional. We were introduced to the villa and its facilities in detail and I must give 2 thumbs up for the unexpected introduction. It was really a worth of money given the space and the luxury provided by this hotel. Not forgetting its dedicated staff for providing us with some superior service, which I feel was as good as a personal Butler. This is the first time in my life which I tip to hotel staff so willingly. Overall its a very enjoyable stay and I will be back for another stay.

Paradise of Luxury”
Malisa Villa Suites provides excellent Pool Villas. The best thing about the Hotel was In-Villa Breakfast. Everything served on the dining table as per the selection made. The Pool Villa comprises of a kithcen with dining table, pool with sun deck with a waterfall and jacuzzi. A truly amazing experience with the waterfall flowing along with pool and powerful jacuzzi. The bathroom was very big and the room had Apple TV along with free Wifi. Only negative was lot of mosquitoes, because the Villa is open on the pool side. The Hotel is a must stay for Honeymooners.

Relaxation hotel”
Malisa located in a good place, near to everything. 24 hrs fast service, makes everything easy , even you wake up in the middle of the night wanna have some crabs or lobstor , your wish will come true. The design for the rooms are nice, great size pool, I've readed other comments said the pool not that clean, make me a bit worried, but in fact it's not a problem at all, it's clean n big. The jacuzzi is the best thing to enjoy aft whole day shopping. For the food in the hotel, I have to say it's very delicious . You must try Tom yang soup . The taste really unforgettable. Well , in the villa did have Mosquitos , but the villa gave you everything to do the prevention. As long you close the door , it's not a big problem. I will visit this villa again .
