Malmaison London - You Rocked Our World!”
London was the last leg of our UK tour. We didn't know what to expect when we booked Malmaison on Charterhouse but judging from the pictures, we thought it would be a nice end to our trip. When we got to the hotel and walked in, a cool vibe emanated from the hotel lobby - cool decor, nice funky house music playing at a comfortable volume. Check-in was fast and the reception staff was just totally helpful. When we got to the room and opened the door, (we were in Room 208 by the way), our jaws literally dropped. The room was huge! The previous few hotels were good but rooms were never this huge - we could both open up our full size luggages and still have space to prance around. Facing us was a day bed/lounger in classy black leather. There was a small little coffee table with 2 comfy chairs to enjoy the great complimentary hot beverages available. Mega-huge Samsung TV hung across the bed. The bed .... On the bed was so comfortable it made each morning extremely excruciating trying to pry ourselves away from the sheets. The toilet...the size....the layout...fantastique! The complimentary toiletries had messages printed on them that were hilarious "The Best Shampoo You'll Ever Steal" and "Bodywash Better Than You Have At Home"...They were so wonderful to use that I heeded Malmaison's advice and stole them! The location of the hotel was also great. 5 minutes westward walk to the Barbican Underground Station, and 8-10 minutes eastward walk to the Chancery Lane Underground Station. If you're up for a leisurely walk, the Tower Bridge is just 25 minutes away and it's also not too far off to the funky part of town called Shoreditch and Redchurch Street. The hotel is easy assessible but yet situated in a quiet part of town where there isn't much noise. What could one ask for? A couple of simple suggestions to the hotel folks: 1) In room 208, we could hear the folks throwing out the garbage at night. It didn't bother us coz we're late owls and sound sleepers, but for t

Great Agoda price, shame about the bar”
For £80 or the abouts through an advanced booking deal was a snip for a central London Hotel. The room allocated was on the 6th floor, top of the building, with a bit of a sloping ceiling. Big enough but not grand. Have heard of smaller rooms in other hotels for the full rate. Breakfast is extra, and judging by the price charged for an in room breakfast basket, £15 each, I guess the real thing would be as much if not more and not good value. As a treat went by taxi £10, to the Wolsey, and had breakfast for near the same price, better and in a grander setting. Incidentally there looks to be a nice coffee/breakfast next door to the hotel. Also the hotel itself down by allocating the lounge bar to a private dinning function. The basement bar was empty; not at all inviting on this occasion. But there are a whole bunch of wine bars and pubs only a matter of yards from the hotel. Treat yourselves and go to the top floor of Smiths of Smithfield (a 5-10 minute walk) and take a drink on the roof top terrace with a view including a distant St Pauls. There are heaters if its a bit chilly.

Great hotel in a great location ”
The Malmaison stood out from start to finish, very polite and welcoming reception staff. We was lucky to be offered an upgrade and was accommodated on the 6th floor in a suite! Wow, room was amazing, so spacious and luxurious , absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. The bar area was well presented and the Restuarant area where breakfast was served was very comfortable and decorated to a high standard. Plenty on offer at breakfast time , either a continental or full english available with other options such as porridge, eggs benedict , English muffins and waffles all freshly made. The food tasted amazing , piping hot and incredibly well presented. We cannot fault our stay in this hotel, the staff team and hosts within the bar area we're all very welcoming . We will be returning to enjoy another stay in this beautiful hotel in the summer.

Great Location”
Splendid location in the city for Barbican, underground, shops and food. Good price. Lovely room, well equipped with everything in it. Very clean. Comfy double bed. A bit small for 2 people but very adequate for one. I like Malmaisons chain of quirky buildings. Helpful front of house staff. Recommend.

Perfect for romantic weekend away”
Really enjoyed our stay here, was a nice half an hour stroll to Covent Garden so location was perfect for our stay. The room was amazing, huge shower and one of the comfiest beds I’ve ever slept in, I didn’t want to leave! Will definitely think of Malmaison whenever I book a hotel from now on.

Cool oasis”
Typical eclectic Malmaison decor which I expect. Big plus point is the quiet location and air conditioned bedrooms.

Comfortable & Large ”
Had a Club Room. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Lots of cushions. Huge TV opposite bed. Lots of space for clothes and luggage. Large bathroom with lovely toiletries. The room had all we needed and if it didn't then a phone call would get the it for us. Had drinks at bar and 50% off menu in restaurant. Breakfast for £16 each delivered to room. Great location for us visiting Barbican but also easy to get places on buses underground and Uber. Would go back again.

Quiet Hotel in London”
I love this hotel as it is so quiet but near Farringdon and Barbican. The bar is great. Good selection of cocktails and wine. Dark and sultry adds to the atmosphere.

Very good”
The air con was either not working or working very badly when we were there, despite or perhaps because of the 32 degree heat? There was a fan in the room, which suggest that this was not a new occurrence, but we were not told about any problems. Consequently we had very sleep. We have asked for an explanation but received nothing as yet. The shower controls were incomprehensible and the shower handle was not connected and fell off. The staff were lovely and efficient.

Very good”
The room is a bit small but very clean and cosy. Location is alright, it was near Barbican station but it was closed for the weekend on the day we arrived (due to some lines maintenance going on) so we had to walk to the next nearest station which was Moorgate -- it was quite a far walk i must say! Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Good but breakfast prices not clear. We thought full price of cooked breakfast was included in bed and breakfast rate and it was not.

Good value”
It was quite nice, a bit problematic as they normally dont get bookings via Agoda, so they said they did not get the money, though i could see they had already been taken. So take care here. Besides that, room was OK, the bed a bit small but we did opt fo rthe cheapest. Good value definitely and we would go again.
