Acceptable
Hotel is not value for money and is over rated with inexperienced staff. I reserved 2 executive rooms for my wife and I, my daughter and her partner. The rooms cost around £500 for both for one night. The rooms are fairly small although comfortable. The hotel thinks that very loud music is what all people like. Early Friday evening music was blaring from the DJ and there was not a quiet area in the hotel to sit and chat with your friends or family except in your room. The service at breakfast was a shambles, utter confusion firstly we were served another tables food and then we had to keep asking for toast and coffee, the sausages were over cooked and the eggs benedict was hard poached, porridge was spilt on the floor by a waitress and someone slipped an d nearly hurt themselves. We had to request the floor be cleaned, this was done with a table towel utter chaos. I have stayed in many Malmasion hotels in different locations over the last few years I certainly will not stay their again

Lovely hotel followed by disappointment.
We stayed here for a night at the theatre and booked three rooms. The hotel was perfect, near to everything and the staff were polite. Having checked out however, each room had an amount deducted from their debit card which was a similar amount to the price of the room with no explanation as to why. We are still waiting for Malmaison to rectify this early a week later and has left some of our party short for the month which isn't acceptable and has marred our stay there when we were planning on using the hotel again.

I'd go back
The check in staff were friendly and ensured a warm welcome was given. We got in to our room early which was fantastic!! The location for us was ideal for where we wanted to be in Manchester. Whilst I know there are cheaper hotels, we like to have a treat when we're not with our daughter, so yes I would pay this again. The bar food was lovely and Micheal who worked in there was great! He showed he had a sense of humour as well as a human side! We'd deffo go back!!

Not what I've come to expect from Malmaison as a Brand
Room/Matresss had bad odor and felt very dirty. Computers were down on day of check in which made for chaos and a long dragged out process of being asked to return to front desk in 30 minutes - this began on my early arrival at 9am and continued through till 330pm and the attitude of front desk was - we'll check in is officially at 3pm anyway. Staff unfriendly, stressed out, don't enjoy there job. Not my first time at this hotel - but probably my last. Overall bad experience.

Great location
I love the location and the decor. Staff are very friendly and pleasant. Lobby was a bit dirty but overall the cleanliness of the room was excellent. Room was quiet, air conditioning was efficient. Breakfast was good. I will use this hotel again.

Long weekend away
We have now been to Malmaison in Glasgow, Aberdeen and Manchester, this one has great location and consistent with décor and feel of other Malmaison hotels, staff on the whole were pleasant, Starbucks on site is a bonus for those who don't want to pay £16 for breakfast (Like us:-)) one issue with the restaurant but we had an apology by email from hotel before we got home on Monday..

Worth it
I had a great stay and the facilities and staff are excellent. Table service in the bar is a nice touch. My only criticism is that the minibar prices are ridiculous. A £1 can of San Pellegrino is for some reason £4.50, and a pretty standard bottle of supermarket Malbec, is £30..

Not worth the money - extremely disappointed!!
Very tired and unloved room not at all what you would expect for £200 per night. Cracked sink, cracks in wall, moldy sealant round sink broken shower screen, dirty curtains - no wonder the rooms are so dark (so that they mask the flaws) Booked hotel for a special treat for husbands birthday and we were both very disappointed. Hotel extremely noisy. Wish we had stayed somewhere else.
