This is an incredible hotel, best experience.”
the staff is wonderful treasure of karaweik mobil hotel, from receptionast to bar tender and breakfast waiter, they are just amazing and caring. They showed us the way, hire the taxi driver for whole day with a reasonable price, taught us how to use“thanaka” which is a tranditional skin cream in myanmar.Even one staff even brought us a tranditional breakfast...anyway there r too many surpises since we cheked in the floating hotel. and of course ,the outlook is truely amazing, u will definately love it even when u arrive at night , the first scene you see on the river is this masterpecie. the breakfast is also nice for us. oh yeah, and the room, another surprise, with a special balcony on the deck, though there r too many moze so we didnt go out there, yet still, amazed me. karaweik mobil hotel is really out of my expectation , and it became a shining point inside of my mandalay trip. Truly recommend this one if u ever come to Mandalay.

Wonderfull, central hotel.”
It would appear that we were the very first AGODA customers at the hotel and therefore they kindly upgraded us and provided a fruit basket for our arrival. This hotel had only been opened a couple of months and the staff were the most helpful we experienced in our travels around Myanmar, with the manageress speaking very good English. Great friendly hotel will all staff excellent. We would definitely return here if ever in Mandalay again. Thank you the Mandalay Karaweik Mobile Hotel. a lovely "teak" floating heaven on the river.

A hotel on water. Something a little different.”
We had one night to spend in Mandalay so we booked Karaweik Mobile Hotel. Its an amazing looking Hotel/Boat. You will take some great pictures. Our room was large but water was either hot or cold and wifi acceptable. The location is terrific for the one night we were in town. It is on the river and away from the main city. It allowed us to walk along the side road and take some nice picture of the local people. The breakfast was ok but the evening dining food was very good. We waited for it but it was worth it. Compliments to the chef. Sundowners on the deck to watch the sun set was a bonus. Not wheelchair friendly and take some spray for mozzies also the staffs English needs some work but that will come the more the tourist arrive. Try it, you'll like it.

Great Value & Experience”
It was a last minute stay at the Mobile Hotel, but it was a fantastic experience. We were greeted wonderfully but a smiling staff that was so helpful. We needed to get a few things from the store, and they actually went and picked things up for us. The boat it right on the river and actually goes from a short trip every day from 3-5:30. The location was fantastic for us, being right next to the dock for the boat coming from Bagan. I cannot rave enough though about the staff. They arranged our taxi to the airport, ran some errands for us, greeted u[p with a smile when we ordered food, and at breakfast the next morning. The rooms might be a little small We had a double twin, but are packed with amenities. But the The double queens were pretty big. The view from the balcony, which is right outside of your is amazing especially of the sunset. I wish that we would have been able to stay there longer.

Quirky and handy for the boat dock”
We picked this because it looked amazing. We ( two women independent travellers ) did arrive marginally out of season but it seemed only partly operating. It was lovely to be onthe Irrawaddy but the rooms were tiny and very hot. The location is quite far from Mandalay centre - about a 45 minute walk and there are not many places to eat in walking distance. We are at a lovely local place about 1/2 km along the river called Mingun. V simple but couldn't recommend it highly enough. The hotel restaurant at the time seemed soulless. On a positive note breakfast was lovely with dilicious Mohinga. The staff were lovely though their English was exceedingly limited so asking for anything at all was tricky - which obviously is not their fault. A quirky Place to stay for a couple of nights.

Hotel on the river”
The Hotel was very nice overall. The action on the river with the many different boats going up and down stream was entertaining. The room was small but comfortable and clean. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was good but they kept making over charge errors on our bill but eventually corrected it. They brought out food we did not order. Breakfast was a huge disappointment! No buffet only a choice of Euro or Asian breakfast. My Euro breakfast consisted of under cooked bacon, mystery meat ham and two eggs. My wife (She's Thai)ordered the Asian and it looked pretty good. Fried rice with an egg on top. The staff was great and treated us very well. One piece of advise when traveling Myanmar exchange crisp hundreds for Kyats. Stay away from ATM, exchange is terrible. Buy everything with Kyats and your money will go way further.

Helpful and Friendly Staff”
We really like this hotel so much. Unique architecture and full of wooden furniture. Unfortunately we only spent for one night. But overall this hotel is recommended for business traveller, couple and family. You'll be surrounded by helpful and friendly staffs.

Very nice hotel”
3 of us stayed in this hotel for just one night. We were very happy with it! English was a little problem with most of the staff but they tried very hard to make us happy! Design is very unique, definitely would suggest this hotel!

A unique experience”
We really enjoyed our stay here. We were one of only three rooms booked but other people came on board for the sunset cruise up the Irrawaddy which was fantastic. They have a buffet dinner for the walk on passengers which they have to pay for, so be careful if you are sleeping overnight you do not have to pay, you can eat later. The room is beautifully appointed with everything you need and the view from the verandah is lovely. A little caution that staff have very little English. The artwork in the hall is fantastic too! I would definitely stay again.

Unique stay in Myanmar”
Pros - clean comfortable double room with a/c, tv, fridge etc. A nice balcony to sit out and watch the river. The staff were super friendly!! The breakfast was really good. Cons - we were the only guests onboard at the time and the hot water took a long time (a good 5 mins) to come through. Was only hot in the mornings. The double room is fairly small. We stayed over a weekend but the boat didn't cruise due to a storm - which never actually happened so we were disappointed. Everything onboard is more expensive than elsewhere.

Lovely stay”
Im not sure why more people arent staying here. Its a little out of the downtown area, but being by the river was beautiful. We had 2 rooms overlooking the river and had a perfect view of sunset as the boats cruised up and down the river. One of our rooms was a little small, but the suite was large roomy and beautiful. I would recommend staying here.

This hotel is actually a boat”
The best thing about this hotel was the staff - they were spectacular. However, the accommodations were less than spectacular. The hotel seems to be in need of repair. Also, there is no pool and the wifi did not work the entire time we were there. The view was gorgeous, but the rooms did not have screens and the balconies were full of bugs. Thus, it was very difficult to relax in both the rooms or the balconies.

Amazing floating palace!”
very charming wooden boat on the quiet side of town but convenient to early morning departure if you head to Bagan by boat. Large rooms with lots of amenities. Restaurant upstairs included puppet show and good food. Buffet breakfast superb!

Dirty, no hot water, but otherwise a great place”
5 nights in deluxe double room. Room safe locked, took 3 hours to get attended to. Room dirty. Lay down for a nap after arriving, found sheets were dirty, from the dirt on the floor. Housekeeping swept, collected nice pile of dirt, but still dirt on bedside table where dusted around and wouldn't change sheets. No hot water on 3 of the days, "just run it a while", filled the bath from the shower, still not hot. Had to turn furnace on. Electricity failed in power points (still had lights) no response after 14 hours, so had to follow up again. Took a few hours to fix problem. Asked hotel to arrange a taxi for day trip. Got a mate with a station wagon who had to ask how much he was to charge, but ended up charging taxi rates whilst not licensed. Restaurant filthy. Tablecloths badly stained, twice asked to change tablecloths, so they moved a dirty one from another table. One meal served to next table, guests picked through it and rejected then it was served to us. Tissue on floor of restaurant for 3 days without being swept up. We arrived a day late due to flight cancellations and even with all the issues of the room and hot water, they still required us to pay for the five nights, with only three rooms in use. The location and concept is great, as you can get great view of river, sunsets and river traffic and river life. If only the room was clean, the electricity worked, the hot water was on and the restaurant was clean. Walked along road to see the activity and people living on shore and boats, little market about 1km away that sold flowers was amazing, but hidden away. Taxi stand at two intersections either side of hotel, can get licensed taxis and tuk tuks. Could do with either flyscreens, mosquito nets or repellent in room, as being on rivers edge there were mosquitos. Best tip, book as good a room as you can afford for the size and essential to book river side, for both the view and to avoid the noise from road, which was non existent in our room, as it was well

Interesting Boat Hotel on the Irrawaddy River”
Although the room was small it felt like a 5 Star room but no room for a chair or desk. Great view of the river.
