Friendly staff and value for money
Love the design of the hotel and the view is good. I can see the beautiful Karon beach from the hotel restaurant. Staffs are friendly.

Good Hotel.
Place is far from Karon Beach.(5 minutes by tuktuk, 20 minutes by walk) Hotel is very calm. You can relax at Hotel. If you want to go to karon beach, you can take shuttle bus. (Only day time. not often...) I am satisfied with my stay at Hotel, generally. (Good swimming Poor, Clean Room, Good service.) I have some disappointed points. 1.Room service is not 24hr. last order was 22:30. And nearest shop is 20minutes by walk from hotel. If you will arrive by night flight, I recommend you to buy some food on the way to go Hotel. 2.All liqueur in pool bar is very expensive than other place in phuket. and unfortunately, quality of cocktail is very poor. Overall, it's a good hotel

Highly recommended.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was very spacious and well appointed, the pools were all nice, the staff friendly and attentive and the breakfast buffet was large and delicious. They even made us breakfast to take away when we checked out early on the last day. I would definitely stay here again.

Very Peaceful
Beautiful hotel the rooms were very large with lovely decor. As everyone says the stairs are a pain to walk up and down so you do need to be quite mobile to get around.

Won't Come Back Again
I have stayed in more than 15 hotels in Phuket in the past 10 yrs. This one is the worst 5 stars hotel I've even been. Water dripping from the air con in the room. Technicians repaired twice during my 5-day stay but to no avail. I gave up. Toothbrushes n toothpaste are only provided on request. Breakfast isn't good at all. Swimming pool is small. The hotel is built on hillside. Please prepare to walk up to the hill after parking. If you charge me the room rate as 5-star hotel, please provide me with 5-star quality.

If this is luxury resort I hate to see what other hotels are like.
The Good: Staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was clean and organized. In room dining was OK The Bad: Dropped a crumb on the room floor and it was swarmed with little ants. Not sure if thats the hotels fault or just an issue with the surroundings. Our AC unit left a puddle in the middle of the room. Not sure if it was the unit itself or from the monsoon outside, but either way it is unacceptable (I told the front desk after first night, but continued throughout the trip so just put towels down). The hotel is too isolated up on a hill. The beach is only a 15 minute walk but its a rough walk, and then when you actually get to the hotel we had to climb a bunch of steps to get to the room. This was advertised as a luxury spa, which is why I was expecting better. Fitness area not even worth to go to. Breakfast buffet had flies which they can not control but can do a better job at keeping things covered. Generally Im easily pleased so perhaps my expectations were a little high.

Agoda states this place as a 5 star resort........
Our stay at Mandarava was good. But good would be as far as I'd go. The room we had was nice. Had a sea view and balcony. Air conditioning worked well and had a nice flat screen tv for those lazy holiday days. On the downside the shower door didn't close and the showers were clearly not cleaned daily when the room was turned down. The basin in the bathroom had no hot water and there was water leaking through one of the downlights over the minibar area.........fire hazard waiting to happen!! The resort itself was interestingly laid out with plenty of garden and water features. There were 3 pools and three bars available. All pools were very nice and clean. The only bar which is open late was dead and had zero ambience. The breakfast was plentiful, but after two days you will have experienced all there is to offer in that respect. It was the same thing every second day. The staff were always friendly and polite and I would not have a bad word to say regarding that aspect. All in all I'd say that our stay at Mandarava was pleasant, but I would not be rushing back there given the abundance of other options within the area.

Not 5 *!
I definitely would not say this was a 5* hotel, more of a satisfactory 4*, even a 3* at times. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. However, interns of the facilities we were disapponted.

The staff is the best of this hotel
Manager Judy, waiter Sam, and cleaning lady Earn made our stay a very enjoyable one. We didn't start well with a not so good transport from the airport, and a very hot room (due to a hot water tank under the floor!!), and a poor service reg gluten free options which were promised but were absent. After arranging a meeting with Mngr. Judy, they made up for the bad start, and we were very happy! It's good to see they want to improve taking into consideration our feedback and critique. Thank you Mandarava. We loved the Papaya pool; didn't like the Mango pool, rather small and crowded; the Pomelo pool is ok. Room, lovely decor, spacious, great bathroom. The bed is very comfy! Location wise, we still prefer Kamala beach. Karon, over rated, sand is kind of artificial and not nice to walk on. The sea is transparent though, nice. So many loose dogs!! Scary!!
