Still an amazing Hotel after all these years”
Love everything about this Hotel. every time we come to Bangkok we will make sure we choose this hotel. Lots of Local eateries across the street and also a huge shopping mall with an amazing food court on the 3rd floor with a wide selection of cuisines and the prices are almost at student price. Love the pool and gym. Breakfast is the same daily but selection is wide. Good breakfast too. Check-in staff are amazing. Room is cleaned everyday and a huge thumb's up the the cleaning team. Thank you for doing such a great job daily. Only downside is the bellboy who handle the luggage. They are only helpful with your luggage if you are white. Asian guests usually have to carry their own luggage up and down the stairs on our own. Year after year it's the same. But it's just a small matter because the hotel itself is amazing. We learned to not let that bother us.

High quality hotel”
This is a high quality older hotel. It is very clean and well maintained. Good ground floor pool and excellent customer service. They provided bathrobes and slippers plus the usual toiletries. Room came with 4 bottles of water, 2 small cans of coke, coffee & tea -all complementary. The AC worked well as did the refrigerator & microwave. The shower was warm with a rain shower head. American & European style electric plugs. The auto window shades were a nice touch for a hotel in this price range. Room had 2 overstuffed chairs and a king bed. Travertine floors were elegant. Large umbrella was provided in room, which has been modernized. A little road noise in many of the rooms but not excessive. Good location and only 150 meters to metro. On my first night, the smoke detector malfunctioned and caused the staff to wake me up twice to make sure there was no fire. It was replaced and the staff left me a small fruit basket the next morning along with a formal letter of apology. Most hotels would not have done this. Overall, it exceeded my expectations and I would stay here again.

“Good Hotel and Location With Excellent Services and Facilities””
I stayed for 6 nights breakfast included with my two daughters. Our room is clean and big enough. The mattress and pillow are comfortable. The staff assistance, services, and facilities are excellent. They replenish the amenities and complimentary bottled water every day. The breakfast is also good. There are varieties of food to choose from, and they change the main dishes every day so you won’t have the same breakfast daily in case you stay for a week. The hotel is close to must-visit places in Bangkok and also offers a free shuttle daily on schedule. We had a nice and relaxing stay. I highly recommend the Mandarin Hotel.

Wonderful hotel with great location”
We stayed at the Mandarin Hotel Managed by Centre Point for 4 nights and was very pleased with the hotel and its staff. We stayed in an executive room which was nicely decorated and well appointed. We had a very nice view of the city and all it had to offer. The shower water pressure was perfect and the bidet toilet was heavenly. Location wise is perfect. It’s across from a large mall and the MRT, and a very short walk to the Silom area and dance clubs like DJ Station. The included breakfast had a huge selection to fulfill the tastes of everyone. We return to Bangkok in Feb for 5 nights and already have our room booked. Would not consider staying elsewhere.

Always expect that aspect of finesse when you stay here - when the gym assistant has quickly figured out your training routine and already has cold water awaiting you as well as fresh towels and the A/C set to your favourite temperature, all while proving that Thailand is the land of smiles. For those who wish to explore the vibrant Samyan-Chula area, this value-for-money hotel is well situated. With good facilities and sizable rooms that are clean and well-maintained, it is perfect for our family of 4. A 5 min walk away is the Samyan MRT station and across a major road is a new shopping mall. Chinatown is 2 stations away and a 15-minute walk brings you to Sala Daeng Station. When it comes to food, you are spoilt for choice as there are eateries aplenty. The area is a mix of old and new. You either like it or hate it.

Nice and clean”
Staff assigned to our floor is very kind and attentive to details! I returned the coke regular to change it to coke zero. He gave us coke zero the next day! Always giving smiles for our requests. I felt safe with the hotel. Has service to other malls unfortunately we weren't able to maximize it. Breakfast is nice but would like to have more western options. They keep the bacon though and you have to ask for it at the egg station.

The Mandarin was perfectly located for our Bangkok stay. Many restaurants and shopping centers located a short walk from the hotel. Areas of attraction were just a short drive away. Laundromat, 7/11 and anything you could need within a 5 minute walk! Hotel was very clean and comfortable, we stayed here twice while traveling throughout Thailand. The complimentary water bottles were very much appreciated on the hot days! Would definitely recommend and return again.

A Comfortable and Clean Hotel”
I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms were comfortable and the facility spotless. The breakfast buffet was wonderful with more than ample choices available. There were always taxis available outside the hotel. There is a large shopping area across the street which is convenient.

It was a comfortable and convenient stay. Good location, near to mrt and shopping malls. Room is spacious and shower water pressure is very good as well. Clean, value for money”
My family of 2 adults and 2 young kids had 4 nights stay in deluxe plus. The double bed is huge, so no problem fitting us. The room is not superbly big, just ok. The bathroom is equipped with small bathtub, so if someone who is big, I think they will have problem. Pool was clean and comes with big floats, the kids like them. Breakfast was alright, same dishes everyday. Location was right opposite small shopping mall, with 24 hrs supermarket and it was 5 mins walk to metro.

Found the Mandarin to have the feel of a expensive hotel but price was cheap . The staff were all polite and very professional Even though the hotel dates from 1965 it has been updated and is very modern and a high tech toilet you don’t find even in 5 star hotels Room had a large fridge and microwave oven that was a nice touch .Room was always spotless had a 10 day stay and enjoyed every day .Didn’t take the breakfast cause was in Bangkok to explore the food but it did look great . Location is good short distance to main tourist road close to China town and a 20 minute walk to the free river ferry to the new icon Siam mall . Mall across the street had lots of choices for food one thing though is this area is part of the university so restaurants and 711 don’t sell alcohol so have to go a little farther from hotel for that .Will stay at this hotel for sure next time in Bangkok

The hotel was extremely clean and the staff were very warm and welcoming. The breakfast was phenomenal and plentiful. One of the best features was the beautiful swimming pool which was very clean and well maintained and the temperature was perfect. Service: The staff at the reception counter are super friendly and helpful. Room: room is spacious, bed is very comfortable. Microwave oven in the room and a big size fridge is a bonus. Location: MRT is 4 minutes walk away. There are 7-11 & Starbucks in walking system. Breakfast is good. Will come back to stay here next time I visit Bangkok.

If you want a 10 minute walking rom make you should choose this hotel. Also Starbucks just near- 30 seconds walk. Rooms were clean, great pool and gym. One of the people who clean my room accidentally throw my Starbucks cap (not one time use), I let the reception know about that and they gave me cash money back on that after they checked it. Great hotel, definitely come back!

Location of the hotel was very good. The Samyan Mitrtown mall was a short walk away with the Samyan MRT station. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there were massage services after a long day of travelling. Rooms were also very clean.

Very nice hotel, cleaning staff was amazing, always on time, always friendly. Very good wife, could work without any issues. Everywhere the hotel looks clean and fresh. Two minor remarks. The lobby is very cold, my wife and I were freezing every time. And the breakfast is average, reasonable selection, but almost without exception all the food trays were open, meaning the food was cold. But still a really good experience, and excellent value for money in Bangkok

As a Japanese, I am happy with the following Clean room with bidet I stayed on the fourth floor and the only view from the window was the parking lot. LOL! I don't particularly care about the view, so there is no point deduction, but if you are looking for a good view, please try a higher floor! If you can use the train, it is very convenient because of its proximity to the Saam Yarm station. However, as mentioned in other reviews, the fact that there is a shopping mall right in front of the building is not a particular addition. Personally, I would not recommend this shopping mall. I would recommend going to the Central World area. It takes 40 minutes to get there even if you walk slowly. All in all, it would be my first choice for accommodation if I were to stay in the Silom area. The Sukhumvit area is good for sightseeing but I don't like it because it is too crowded.
