Good but some issues”
My stay here was mostly good with the exception of one thing- It's strange to me that a 5 star hotel doesn't have proper power outlets. All the outlets in the room were either loose so the plug fell out, or too small so the plug did not fit. I would not expect this at the Mandarin of all places. Also I'm from North America which uses 110 volt appliances and they didn't even have a converter here...is it really 5 star? They lent me an an old adapter which was useless.

Not much to say about this hotel. It meet my expectations according to the budget. Only main negative point that has been already highlighted in previous comments is the noise from the corridor while you are in the room. All the rest is fine. Clean, private and reasonable price.

Bad service ”
We paid for 6 nights but stayed there only 5 nights. We also informed the receptionist about that when checking in and asked for an upgrade room. The receptionist agreed and asked us to wait for an hour for the setup. When entering the room, we found out that room was the standard one. It rained very hard in the 2nd night. In the morning we saw the water was leaking from the ceiling terribly. We called the room service and the lady suggested us “to use the existing umbrella” in the room (because she dis not understand English). Then we had to called the receptionist and moved to another room which was smaller than the 1st one. Terrible experience!!

Conveniently located near Sam Yan MRT. 10mins by taxi to Chinatown and 5mins taxi to MBK center. Outside hotel there’s a Starbucks and convenience store. Hotel staff is friendly and efficient, rooms are clean and comfortable.

Good Hotel to Stay in Bangkok”
Pros: Facilities are OK my Kid enjoy much more the swimming pool. The hotel staff and the chambermaid who always clean our room are generous, polite and kind including the staff in front desk information. Great breakfast! My wife enjoy the gym facilities. Shuttle service are free with designated drop off points for shopping and historical landmarks near the hotel. Cons: Hotel are not attentive and did not response on my request in online booking thru Agoda for the upgrade of my beds. They charged us at the Hotel during our arrival for the upgrade of bed for my older kid. For transpo use Grab Online once you will go to shopping it is much cheaper rather than calling a TAXI and Tuktuk they will charge you a higher fare once they know you are a tourist grrrr .... Do not ask for the help to get TAXI at the front concierged it's a holdup! The TAXI booked by their staff charged us 360Baht going to Pratinum Night Market @ 8PM hope this will call the attention of Hotel Management....Ty.

I was put in a room w water leaking when raining. I called the helpdesk, but they seemed very slow in action. I had to go to the receiptionist to report this leaking issue, then thing was done after that.

Great serviced but this time smaller room”
I loved to stay this hotel on Songkran period because everything so convenience . Great service from friendly staffs from concierge, front desk, fitness staff , house keeping n 'Krua Luang' restaurant but this time I stayed at another building it's quite smaller than last time this time my lift near gym n swimming pool It seems another building bigger just only this point that I concern. But restaurant outlet take long time on everything good n bills.

Hotel is good, though it would be better if it was carpeted so to prevent noises from outside the room. The floor tiles was sometimes felt a bit dirty too, not sure if housekeeping mop it daily or just sweep it. Location is good if your travel destination is near MRT, however a bit troublesome if you travelling alone and need to travel by BTS as you need to transfer and will cost you a lot of money. If you are traveling in a group, GRAB might be a better option. Good and friendly staff.

I had an excellent stay at The Mandarin and would highly recommend it. The hotel is very clean, modern and comfortable. The hotel is in a good location walking distance to transport and the MBK shopping centre. The staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful also. The only negative I would say is the gym was lacking in size and equipment but that is a minor flaw. I will definitely come back to stay at The Mandarin next time in Bangkok
