"Very beautiful location. It's remote from the rest of the island, but if you are going to Koh Tao, it's really nice to stay at this hotel for a couple days. The snorkelling in Mango Bay is quite good, especially if you head to the right (east) along the island, you can go for hours and it's some of the best snorkelling I found on the island, and I was always totally alone. The hotel runs a shuttle boat twice a day from the hotel to Sairee and back, no charge. Also, you can indeed walk from Mango Bay to Sairee and other beaches if you are in good shape, and it's a really pretty hike that takes you to other remote beaches. They also have a kayak you can borrow and scout around. Staff is really sweet, Burmese mostly. The tour boats all stop in Mango Bay for a couple hours mid day, but the rest of the time you have the place to yourself. "

"Stayed here for 4 nights. Originally booked 2 but loved it so much we stayed for 2 more nights! A few things to mention first. If you are looking for seclusion and a very relaxed and tranquil stay, this is it. It’s completely out of the way of everything else (what we were looking for). It’s only accessible by boat taxi from the main pier to Mango bay. When you arrive to Koh Tao, the hotel organises a free transfer to Mango Bay. This is not clearly advertised so please look out for a man holding a mango bay sign with your name on it, otherwise contact the hotel on arrival and they will arrange for you. DO NOT GET A CAR TAXI - COSTS 2000 baht! And the road up the mountain to the hotel is treacherous to say the least. Call hotel, sort the free boat. The rooms are absolutely immaculate. So clean and fresh, cleaned every day and hugely sized and modern. Air con really good. Amazing views of the bay. We were on the very top of the resort the highest but up. It’s a looong walk up steps so if you are hard of walking, don’t come here. Didn’t bother us at all. Free snorkelling, kayaking, the water here is the most beautiful I have ever seen, defo worth a dive. The sun lounge area is clean and lots of beds available. There are only 14 rooms in the resort so it is never crowded anyway. The staff are lovely and played games with us which was fun and kept us entertained. There is a free shuttle boat to and from Mae Haad Pier twice daily. It also goes to nangyan island which is nice but overpriced and very busy would recommend to visit once. The last boat back to the resort is early, at 3.30pm, but if you leave early in the morning you can see most of the island before then anyway, it’s tiny! I absolutely loved my stay here. I can’t understand negative comments in previous reviews, this place is heaven! Of course only if you want to get away from it all. Thank you for a wonderful stay! "
