Marriott Hotel Manila”
My first impression of the Marriott Hotel Manila as I walked through the door - opened by (and greated politely by) a bellman was a good one - very nice. Having to go through the metal detector and pat-down beforehand is something I have grown to expect now in Manila, unfortunately. The brand new building is well architected. The lobby is open and inviting. The bar at the back in the open great room space is a nice touch. During my few days there, all of my interactions with the staff were pleasant ones. The rooms are very nicely done. I especially liked the desk area that was actually functional, unlike many hotels that add the work area as an afterthought. The price per night is a good value - just keep an eye on the other expenses that try to make up for the affordable room cost, like a fairly pricy buffet and internet charges (I really wish hotels would simply make internet a standard included service). I had a chance to try out the pool - clean, fairly good sized and staff at the ready with towels - just get there in the morning if you want sun. There are many other features of the hotel I did not get a chance to look at. I hope to explore more of this hotel in future visits. If you are looking for a class act hotel in Manila, the Marriott should be on your short list.
Great Hotel close to the airport!”
Although we enjoyed our stay at the Marriott, it was not our first choice. We should have been in Tacloban City instead. Unfortunately, the APEC summit in Manila adversely impacted our travel plans and we had to arrange alternate lodging last minute. We have stayed in the Marriott before and knew what to expect. We paid $336/night all in, which is more than I like to pay for accommodations in Manila but certainly in line with a last minute reservation in a very nice hotel with so many Manila hotel rooms already booked for the summit. Marriott restaurants, although pricey, are excellent! Great buffet! If you like fine dining with outstanding ambience, try the Marriott steakhouse - Cru. WE enjoyed a Caesar salad prepared tableside, foie gras, shrimp gumbo, and USDA prime Angus Beef ribeye steaks. Yummy!!!! Cru also has a good wine list, especially for Manila. Too stuffed for desert!
me and my husband have taken a break from work and are travelling around at the moment. we stayed in marriott hotel manila for one night for a stop over. the hotel was very ideal and it is next door to the airport. the hotel itself is very clean and lush. when we arrived at the hotel, we had a quick check-in, which was very nice, we were seen to straight away and were given attention straight away. checkin and out was very smooth. the room was lovely, very spacious. we felt very relaxed and enjoyed our night stay. we made use of the steam room, sauna, spa and jacuzzi which were very relaxing and calming. the staff were very helpful and kind. in the evening, we went to the restaurant and again we were not dissapointed, the food was delicious. there is a variety of retstaurants in the compound that you can chose from, you will be spoilt for choice. overall we enjoyed our stay at the marriott.
not all Marriotts are the same, this is different!”
this marriott is part of resort world manila, with more hotels and a casino, shopping mall, and a ultra modern theater. sure it has a u.s signature, with the oil portret discrete in a lobby corner of j&w marriott him& his self, but, even a big place, they manage to have an individual and personal approach. rooms are splendid, with a trendy bathtub ( not for stiff elderly btw), service excellent, almost the best breakfast in manila,( sofitel( new) has just that little thing extra), and top # 1 location! you don't need all the hassle of the # 3 worst traffic city in the world, and if so: the new skyway brings you within 10 minutes right into the heart of makati, the business center. their own car fleet is overpriced, but with pleasure the concierge arrange a trusted yellow cab for you, and this hotel has a high standard of security. if you have a marriott membership, and are senior who is able to handle his own breakfast in the room, at least 25% is your advantage .
5 star treatment all the way”
Very conviently located to the airport and not too far from Mall of Asia. Only downside is the extremely congested Manila traffic. The security into the hotel grounds and hotel itself is tight. Great for guests safety. Room was spacious with a luxurious bathroom as would be expected of a 5 star hotel. Service was excellent every step of the way. Breakfast was included and a great selection. The airport shuttle runs on the hour so was not available on our arrival. Cannot book the hotel shuttle transfer which is a negative. However we highly recommend the Marriott Hotel Manila.
5 star all the way”
Very impressed with the tight security at Marriott Hotel Manila. Staff were very professional in their approach and always available to assist. We were introduced to the Manager and were very impressed that he escorted us up to our room on check in. Breakfast was included in our deal and what an excellent selection. Bathroom was luxurious. Hotel is conveniently located to the airport. Would highly recommend.
Comfortable room, great service, and fast internet”
I enjoyed a great stay at the Marriott Hotel Manila. The staff was very helpful and very accommodating. The Marriott is next door to one of better malls in Makati which is the place to be in Manila. The mall has restaurants and clubs and you really don't have to leave the hotel for nightlife. The Marriott is also very close to the popular Bonifacio area for more restaurants and shops. Very fast internet which is a huge plus. You can't go wrong staying here.
Personalized Service at Enormous Hotel”
the marriott hotel manila is conveniently located near the airport and offers clean contemporary rooms serviced by warm, yet professional staff. although i had to take a taxi to meetings in other parts of metro manila that ranged in time from 20-45 minutes depending on location and time of travel, returning to the marriott every evening felt like i was returning to a refuge. despite the enormity of the establishment, staff often addressed me by name, making it feel like a much smaller hotel. breakfast buffets offer a mouth-watering array of warm and cold dishes from a range of regional and global cuisines and provide an excellent way to start the day.
This hotel is near the airport and literally just beside Resorts World Manila mall and casino which is great! I would say that their rooms are great but when it comes to service, it's kinda just the average. The moment we got out of the car, the staffs are just staring at us, and when we were about to get our luggages out of the car, that's the time they offered help, and they didn't seem to be happy about getting it. Obviously, you can see it in their faces. No one even gave us a stub for our luggages. Their staffs outside definitely need to undergo training again. Checking in was a breeze, depends on you if you would like to pay an incidental deposit for room services, etc. Good thing the front desk officer assisted us with our luggages since we were not given stubs. For their room, it was great and has a modern touch. Since we opted for 2 twin beds, we were surprised that their single bed is really huge and pillows were fluffy (sweet!). The breakfast buffet is great, they have a lot of choices for beverages, you can customize your own smoothie, and they also have bottled fresh juices, fresh buko, coffee, hot chocolate, chocolate and strawberry milk. How great can it be? For the food selection, it's okay, however the food from the chinese section lacks flavor. Also, the service in Marriott Cafe is also great, the servers would remember your name and they would always ask if you needed anything else. Very attentive. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would definitely go back here in the future.
I booked th Manila Marriott as a special surprise for my boyfriend after having spent the past 4 months backpacking. This was way out of my budget but it was definitely worth the money. First off I liked seeing how well the security was when my taxi pulled up and the men checked the car for bombs. As we walked into the hotel we were greeted by bomb sniffing dogs which made me feel secure. Check in was smooth and our room was super! Nice comfortable bed, great view, bathroom complete with glass window. The location was excellent. We walked next door to the casino and saw the best show in my lifetime! I really enjoyed everything the Manila Marriott had to offer and would love to stay here again.
The most comfortable nights stay ever”
We stayed 2 nights at the Marriot to be close to the airport. We were hoping to have 2 nights of in-house luxury for the end of our holiday and that is exactly what we received. The beds were so comfortable; we have never slept better in a hotel before. Also, the rooms albeit a little dated have modern features like a LCD TV with connections, like HDMI, PC VGA and video on demand streamed to our room. On the down side, we did have construction until 8.30pm every night, the hall smelled moldy and the air-con unit made a scratching noise every 30 mins or so. But this is did not stop us sleeping in. Then, we woke up to one of the nicest buffet breakfasts ever enjoyed in a hotel which catered for all tastes. The gym, sauna and steam room were amazing and relatively quiet during our stay. There were lots of places to eat and shop in the local area (Pasay) and the high security over the Easter period made us both feel very safe (for a place in Manila). The only other down side was the cost. This was not a cheap stay, with the cost of a local beer at over 200 pesos this was the most expensive place to drink and eat we encountered. Therefore, we mostly ate and drank outside the hotel. Otherwise, excellent!
Sweet Suite for New Year's Eve”
I booked a Junior suite for our family's New Year's eve stay and upon check-in was upgraded to a Marriott Suite, twice the size of what I booked and paid for! It was 180sqm of luxury for a very reasonable price considering we were able to accommodate several more extended family members for Media Noche (Philippines' New Year's eve meal/feast). Adjacent malls and the casino were a convenient quick walk from the hotel. Fireworks from almost all of Metro Manila were visible from our suite and it was such a visual feast! Staff were all nice and helpful. Breakfast buffet at Marriot Cafe' had a good selection, although I would say Shang and Sofitel have more (this is not a complaint, just an observation). I had access to the Executive Lounge which I didn't get to try as most of us relaxed at the pool, sauna/gym and/or did a little bit of shopping at the malls. I would recommend this hotel for a family stay-cation.
the best for the the airport”
well, what can one say..the marriott hotel manila is oppulent, everything is first class, from the time you arrive to the time you leave ,you feel at home, the staff are more than helpful,we will definately be staying with the marriott again and again.the pool bar is a lovely spot to unwind, with the veiw of the pool and golf course, then you must venture to the steam room to really unwind.the rooms are of generous size with amazing bath-room.we really loved our stay.
A very good place to stay”
I arrived in Manila in the very early morning, i got to know that the hotel has the 24 hours coach, so i waited at the designated gate. The coach arrived at the airport on time. And the hotel is actually very close to the airport. After I arrived at the hotel, i checked the time, it was still 7AM. I asked one of the staff if I can have the privilege to have early check-in considering I am the Marriott member. The staff helped me checked the room and told me that I can have the early check-in. I was so tired and the hotel just made my day. Everything I saw within the hotel, especially the Staff's performance makes this hotel a true 5 stars level
Marriott Hotel Manila”
When we decide to visit the Philippines, we had no idea where to stay. We picked Mariott because we have stayed in other Marriott hotels before but not in Asia. We did appreciate the feedbacks/reviews we got from Agoda. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by very friendly and accomodating staff. We loved it right away. When we entered our room, we loved it even more. It is just like home away from home. The security system in place made us feel sage and secure. We tried their buffet lunch and it was excellent. We love Filipino food but it also included North American cuisine as well. This is great. If we visit the Philippines again, this is the place to stay.
Wonderful Hotel. Great service”
the marriott manila is one of the most beautiful hotels i have had the pleasure of staying in. that's why i stay there exclusivly when i am in manila which happens to be every month. the staff is the most accomodating people of any 5 star hotel. the restaurants are fabulous. price is low considering the accomodations.
Highly recommended, excellent hotel overall”
Good location, physically connected to Resorts World (casino, restuarants and shops) and 5-10min cab from airport. Marriott Manila also provides regular shuttle buses from airport to hotel. Service is unbelievably good, all requests are catered for and staff are very friendly. Great facilities (pool, jacuzzi, steamroom, sauna and 24/7 gym, spa for massages, bars, resturants). Breakfast and dinner buffets are amazing! Will definitely stay again if I return to Manila.
Luxurious Hotel in the heart of Manila.”
Ive stayed at Marriott Hotel Manila, it was wonderful. The location is accessible for those who want to stay after their long flights because the location was just in front of Terminal 3 Airport. The hotel has a huge casino and even accessible to the New Port Mall. Dine, Watch a Movie, and shop all you want till 10pm. Facilities are clean and nice. Over all the hotel is a big thumbs up.
Great Room at a Great Price”
We stayed at the Manila Marriott for one night on our way through to Boracay. From the shuttle at the airport to check-in and room service, we couldn't have been happier. Because we had two small children and the flight was late they upgraded us to a suite. The breakfast was excellent and the transfer back to the hotel was smooth. Can't recommend it highly enough.
Christmas Party Staycation”
I have this habit of staying at a hotel where my Company Christmas Party is being held. In 2016, it was at the Marriott. I understood why is it a bit pricey, the room was beautiful, spacious, has a bathtub, a big bed, and you can see through the bathroom (haha). It was also easy to access the restaurants since the exit actually leads you to Resorts World Manila. The pool is also good as I spent most of my time there before going home. If there is another opportunity to stay in the area then I will book here again.
