Staff were very accommodating”
PRO's: > Staff were very knowledgeable about the know-hows and go-to places for first-time solo travellers like me. > Paid for 1,100.00 for my air-conditioned queen-sized bed PLUS a hearty homemade breakfast. > No curfew. > Room service is well-managed. > Location is VERY near the Bacolod South Bus Terminal. CON: > Although location is near the South Bus Terminal, it is quite far from Bacolod City Proper. 20-30 mins ride.

Very good”
The staff were very good and helpful. I had to leave early in the morning at 5am and they insisted they make us breakfast before we leave . And the food for our stay was very nice. The place was undergoing renovations during our stay which we did not mind as the place needed it.

Good value for money”
Staff are friendly and helpful. Although the place is undergoing repair at the moment, they make sure you do not feel the inconvenience. I love the breakfast as well as the homey atmosphere. The place is accesible but i strongly suggest that they put a bigger and clearer signage for people to see.

The best hospitality we have ever experienced in all the places we have travelled! ”
We booked to stay at Manna Pension house for 1 night, and ended up staying for 4! It is a family business and home, Karen, Gladys and the children who work there are so kind, generous and friendly. On our first day we went shopping at the market with them and got to experience making some Philippino food. The bedrooms are spacious and have good airconditioning. The breakfast was different every morning, but always really delicious and filling! We highly recommend you stay here! If we had more time we wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you so much for everything, it is one of the best places we have ever stayed, we finally felt at home in the Philippines!

Staff and breakfast only”
Came to Bacolod for the Masskara festival. The house was a bit far from Lacson street which was the main venue for most of the activities. The room we stayed in was small. The AC didn't cool the whole room so we had to borrow an electric fan. No hot/cold shower and the water wasn't clean. On our last day, there were residues of we think were rust or dirt in the water, it was horrible. We had one more guest with us so we had to pay for the extra fee but not once did they mention the bfast was not included. I really don't like leaving a negative review since the staff were very nice and accommodating but the only saving grace of our whole stay were them and the good breakfast. I'm grateful to them but I won't book here again.

Value for Money stay with very friendly staff”
It was a great stay at Manna Pension House. We only paid around 1k and the room is a bit small, TV is very old, shower room and toilet are shared. But it was still great because the staff were very friendly and accommodating. They treat their guests as family members, offering coffee in the morning, being attentive to concerns, and even giving service to wash our dirty shoes after Lovedance party. The place is also not too near from the hustle of Lacson Ave, at the same time not too far. Their location is just right if you want to relax, at the same go to the busy stores and parties in Lacson.

Best reception ever, anywhere”
The owners and staff went so far out of their way to make my stay pleasant that I haven't adequate words of praise. They made sure I had the opportunity to taste many Philippine fruits and prepared foods for the first time. One male staff member took me on a day trip to the mountain park, Mambukal. When it was time to leave, one guy took me to the bus station and stayed with me til the bus left. I will always stay in Manna Pension when in Bacolod.

very friendly staff and a comfortable clean room”
i was a solo traveller staying at this pension house. my stay coinciding with the masskara festival in october 2013. my room was very clean and was just what i expected. the shower in my room was good and the air con worked fine. the staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable during my stay and always made me feel welcome. the pension house is kept well guarded and secured at all times. i would be quite happy to stay here again on a future visit.

Clean rooms in a quiet location”
two of my friends and i stayed in manna during the masskara festival 2012. the other places in bacolod were fully booked so manna was our last option. but it was a good place to stay-- ms. gladys and her staff are super friendly and very helpful-- they even called for a van to take us from the pension house to the talisay ruins and silay airport on our last day. it was like staying with family :d the rooms are ok, a bit old but they are clean and very comfortable. the bathroom is super clean. the location is a bit far from the lacson tourism strip (a tricycle ride away-- and some tricycle drivers aren't familiar with the location-- just say mabini cor. san sebastian street) but that only means you are far away from the noise and "tugs tugs" of the festival. they also have a friendly and well-behaved resident doggie named stitch. would recommend this place for families and those looking for simple accommodations that are quiet and comfortable. thank you,

homely and accomodating”
I was generally satisfied with our stay at Manna. Except for the small glitch in the hot/cold shower which at first we had a hard time turning the heater on, then the water at the sink tasted metallic. I guess you have to leave it running first before brushing your teeth, the beds were a bit low compared to a standard bed we are accustomed to. The room has its own bathroom and air-conditioning and very clean. we just had to request for floor rugs to place in the doorway of the bathroom area because none was placed when we arrived. The cable channels were complete unlike in circle inn hotel where we stayed the night before. surprisingly enough, we were more satisfied staying at manna pension house than our one night stay at circle inn hotel. the location was a bit hidden and taxi drivers aren't familiar with the place. it's a good thing we were with a friend of mine who lives in bacolod city and helped us guide the taxi cabs every time. the staff were very accommodating and even offered to do the blow drying on my friend's hair which was kinda odd but it was okay, though they charge Php50 for the use of a blow-dryer. My charger wasn't functioning after i plugged it in at circle inn hotel and the staff of manna pension house provided me with their universal charger (free of charge). the living room looks homely and they have an area for computer rental of like P10 or P20 per hour and a small sari-sari store in case you wanna buy a cigar or some chips and soft drinks. their dog stitch was very friendly and clean as well. =) we were assigned the room near the living room though we were hoping to stay upstairs but i guess at the time they were full because of the masskara festival. wouldn't mind staying at this place again because it is very affordable clean with cable tv. they can cook for you upon request and for some extra charge however me and my friend eat out because there are lots of interesting dining areas around the city.

looks good in the advertisement but when you see the room for yourself, it's different. the comfort rooms are outside of your room and the water isn't clear.

Herzliches Personal, bellende Hofhunde”
