    “Feels like home”

Felt like going home in a japanese house and welcomed by your dad, which is the host. Haha. The host was really nice, we came quite early before check in time, but he still accept us. He also educate us on how to go into a ryokan house, so you change into slippers when going indoor and there's another slipper when going to bathroom. And he gave us tour to the room and onsen facilities. I tried the indoor onsen and it's very rejuvenating. I haven't tried the outdoor because it was raining. The room is very traditional that you really feel like living there as a local. But all is very clean and maintained well. The view from my room also was great. You also need to set the futon bed yourself. I myself stacked it all, and used the very thick & fluffy blanket, and i slept like a log that night. The location is very near to the train & bus station which is Ohiradai. There's also a local minimarket near the bus station if you need to buy some food. Overall we really enjoyed this stay that makes us feels at home. Thank you to the host for maintaining such a great homey ryokan.

    “Free-Reign, but Cute and Comfortable!”

This ryokan is definitely a traditional style living space, as you're mainly meant to do things on your own (setting up your futons for sleep, maintaining your room cleanliness, and managing when you'll head out), but it was quite an endearing place! Comfortable and well kept, the highlight was absolutely the outdoor private onsen, genuinely one of the most relaxing experiences. My only complaint, which isn't a fault of anyone, is that the walls are a bit thin so you can hear everyone around you, but it was kind of endearing and entertaining. The location of Ohiradai was lovely, though it was a bit difficult to manage with many places being closed and public transit being a bit hard to navigate. But altogether, it was a lovely place to stay!

    “Manten No Hoshi Hotel”

We had an awkward hiccup in the beginning, and accidentally got placed into the wrong room. We somehow got locked inside not sure how, but we couldn’t open the sliding door and the key for our real room didn’t work on this room. We had a mini panic bc my partner needed to use the bathroom and there weren’t any inside the rooms. When that situation got fixed and we were freed, much to our embarrassment, we used the facilites on the first floor and got comfortable with our room. Layed out our beds, and we had a perfect view of this adorable cafe in front of us where we had the best meal of the night!!! We did love the outdoor onsen which the hotel had 2 of!! Private as well! They also had 2 indoor onsens, also private. We were given our yukatas and towels and any refreshments we could find downstairs. I loved that they had chargers in case you forget to bring yours.

“Comfortable stay with nice hot spring ”

This hotel locates far from town but just few min walk from Ohidarai station which is easy access to town. A convenient store right beside the hotel. There is one small restaurant serving perfect ramen and beer opposite the hotel. This hotel tatami style is so sweet, we enjoyed the yukata and private hot spring, too bad do not have enough time to enjoy the outdoor private hot spring. Overall it is very nice and lovely. We enjoyed the stay.

    “Great traditional Japanese stay”

Our recent stay at the property was fantastic. The facilities were exceptional. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cleanliness of the property was top-notch and the room size was perfect. The location was convenient and we found it easy to get around but everything around closes really early. We recommend this property for anyone looking for a comfortable stay with great amenities.
