Private onsen for those have ink”
We like it. We checked in pretry late due to transportation issue but the staff still stayed until we came. Appreciated! The room is clean and have free jacket and yukata. The 2 inside onsen are quite old and have smell but the ones outside are perfect. Female toilet is clean but the male one is quite stinky.
Nice experience of traditional Japanese room”
Room was large and you have to make your own bed. The shared bathroom is clean and was very near to our room. The private bath was awesome and there is yukata that is free to wear. It gets a little busy at night so just need to wait for your turn to use the bath. We went for the outdoor bath, very private space. The person who runs the place can speak English so communication is not a problem. The only downside was there was no restaurants nearby that opens at night. Even the convenient store closes at night. We had to take a train to the town for food. Most places closed early. Was luckily to still find a soba restaurant that is open. But we were basically the last batch of customers before they closed at 7pm.
New experience & traditional japanese culture ”
Superb stay with the owner guiding every step on the first day u arrived. Facilities were good and clean altho is a shared one. Onsen is one of best highlights. Totally recommend if need a place near the station with private onsen and food stall that closes at 10 across the place
Great traditional Japanese stay”
Our recent stay at the property was fantastic. The facilities were exceptional. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cleanliness of the property was top-notch and the room size was perfect. The location was convenient and we found it easy to get around but everything around closes really early. We recommend this property for anyone looking for a comfortable stay with great amenities.
My short stay at Manten No Hoshi”
The hotel is nice, clean, and quiet in the Ohiradai part of Hakone. Although we knew that the hotel had shared bathrooms, we didn't expect to pay for the use of the hot spring. The room is sufficiently large and the tatami sleeping arrangement is good for us. As for food, we were disappointed that there is only 1 restaurant across the hotel. Will pack some food if we were to stay here again.
