I do not recommend”
First of all let me say that after Mantra Hotel I spent 5 days in a small village where there was no water, electricity or shower. However, the comfort of the village was better! My room was number 212, it was a double room with a 'bathroom'. The size was good but it smelt so much of 'mildew humidity' if that makes sense in English. There was no mosquito net and the window of the room was broken. The water of the bathroom was very smelly, I tried to wash my clothes there and the result was worse! The room had a fan and air conditioning. The fan was included in the price but the air conditioning was not (I think it costs $3/night). I bought a bus ticket at the hotel which cost $7... when I met people in the bus they had paid $4-6 so I think they overcharged me. Breakfast consists of instant noodles with egg, cheesse omelette or egg with bread. I chose this hotel because it was closer to the temples. If I went again to Siem Reap I would choose a hotel in the city centre.

Great value for money ”
We came originally for 3 nights, but stayed a week and truly loved our experience at this property. I think for the money we paid we had a great stay. Our room was spacious and clean, the only downside it was facing a road and was pretty noisy starting at 5 am. Everyone from a staff was attentive, caring and responsive. When we left I forgot my purse in the room and the owner found us later during the day returning my purse and everything in it. The food we ate was good, people were friendly and overall we had a good stay.

Most accomodating staff!”
Karuna and his team had been very accomodating even before our arrival. Our inquiries were always responded to, and upon arrival, tuktuks fetched us from the bus station (for free!). Bottled water is also provided (unlimited) and our requests were all made possible (early breakfast, Angkor National Museum tour, assistance for transfer to Bangkok, etc). The staff were very friendly and accomodating, our Cambodia trip was so wonderful because of Mantra Angkor Botique Villa's service.

Excellent value for money, lovely staff”
Took a quick trip to Cambo with my best friend, and this place was perfect for our trip. The room had AC and a fan as well, along with hot water and two clean beds. We had a breakfast included with the room, which was a nice start to the day, and the staff did a great job helping us arrange tuk-tuks to Angor and into town. They were so friendly and helpful the entire time, and made sure we were taken care of. I will definitely stay there again if/when we visit Cambodia again.

Great Staff”
The best about Mantra for us was the great staff who was so accommodating and friendly! We really felt that they were interested to make everything comfortable and to help with everything. Not all members speak english very well but in case they don't understand you they will ask for a member who will understand, ask again to get it right etc. The room price was absolutely fine (AC, fridge, cupboard, big bathroom) and the restaurant and bar offered asian and western food or cocktails to a fair price. Breakfast (ham or egg with bread or a noodle soup, tea or coffee) was included. Its located a little bit off the city, so its actually calm at night. Its also closer to the national park, they rent bikes at the hotel and you can cycle to the angkor wat if you like. We really enjoyed the stay, thank you very much! We would visit again!

Affordable Place To Stay”
I just back from Siem Reap. I love the location, its in middle between Angkor Wat (3km) and Pub Street (3km). U can go by Bicycle or even walk if you're active person and don't mind to walk 3km. If you like Enjoy recommend to stay near Pub Street. But I choose this place because i like relax, Calm and silent place. And of course it near to Angkor Wat and even u can go pub street. 3km from there. Yes its Value for Money, I get this room US$7 Per night. Including Breakfast. If you're 2 person, it's very cheap US$3.50 per person + including Free breakfast. And Wifi also super Good. Cleanliness: Its just average but I think its ok because it also cheap. Everything is ok, they got tv, freezer, Fan, Aircond, Toilets, Soap, brush etc what u need everything they provide it. Staff: Very helpful, I like All staff. They are so friendly. including the Guesshouse manager Mr. karuna. he help me a lot. Facilitties: Everything is got. If u need tuk tuk, bicycle, just inform them. they will arrange for u. But if u need the foods u have to go Pub Street. Somehow its not so far. Only 3km from there.

Good location if you just want to visit ankgor”
For a couple of nights it is ok if you just want to visit angkor temples. It is far from the city center. No bed bugs in our room. A/C and comfortable beds. Toilet with floods and little bit dirty. Staff is nice but they want to sell you all their services, more expensive than outside. Mountain bikes ok, but cost $5, not the price the show in their office that was $2. I will recommend to rent a motorbike if you want to visit angkor and the sunrise, it is cheaper than tuk tuks and you can see whatever you like. Water bottles and laundry you will find cheaper outside the guesthouse. After a week in camboya I have discovered that 1'5 l bottle water should cost 2000riels....

BED BUGS!!! WORST HOTEL”
most importantly: 1. i was very clearly bitten by bed bugs. 100% sure (no bites at night and then a line of telltale bedbug bites in the morning). when i showed the front desk the tons of bites all over my arm he accused me of get bit when being around town. i insisted on a different room which was given to us thankfully BUT they rented out our old room after nothing more than routine cleaning before we left. Bed bugs can spread fast and they clearly arent taking seriously. 2. the rooms are disgusting- sheets had large yellow stains, spotty stains that looked like blood, bathroom had clogged sinks and lots of shaven remnants from previous customer, and general grim and black specks of dirt all over the bed between the sheets. LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THEIR PICTURES. 3. the general cafe is more like the staffs hang out area. anytime we wanted service for food or drinks (most other options are a ways away) we had to go find someone or wait around for someone to notice us. the staff was often in and out of uniforms so we were often confused as to who was working and who was just hanging out and constantly using the pool table. so of the people they had hanging around would leer at female guests and general created an uncomfortable atmosphere in the evening making us feel like our choice to have a couple beers was inconveniencing them. 4. inconsistencies : we were charged more for renting bikes than what was posted. the hours of the kitchen and hangout area was at their whim (one might they said the kitchen was closed at 730p, dinnertime?). everyone morning at breakfast we had a second cup of coffee (very small cups) with no mention of charges. our last day someone mentioned a second coffee would cost more and then when we were leaving they tried they tried to bill us for our previous coffees. *****BED BUGS**** this place was bad and dirty but more than anything else they have bed bugs and aren't doing anything about it!!!!!

excellent service, clean, very quiet, pool table, close to the temples”
this place costs roughly half of the better equivalent places due to its location a couple of kilometers away from pub street and old market. it is however closer to the temples, to the temple ticket office, a couple of khmer rouge historical sites and an upscale condominium complex with good restaurants at fair prices. i hate to give it less than five stars on all criteria, as that is sometimes viewed as a failure due to overgenerous reviewers who call average exceptional. i am a retired travel agency owner who travels with my young family.

Worst customer service in 4months of travelling”
The location was good for temple sightseeing. This was the only real positive. Our room was next to mattress graveyard which attracted loads of insects. Our laundry was returned more dirty than we gave them...white t-shirts were stained and ruined. They was unapologetic but gave us our money back after asking for it several times. Our breakfast order was messed up and really oily (which tasted like it had been re-used too much). In general, they had no clue about customer service and every little thing is charged for (extra coffee at breakfast, making a local phone call to another guesthouse, not being to use the pick up option to be dropped off). We stayed 2 nights and elsewhere for the rest of our time in Siem Reap.
