Will come back again”
Thank you. By couple I mean two men who have reunited after 20 years shared a 2 bedroom apartment but to our surprise, we were upgraded to a 3 bedroom HUGE room.... even though the 2 bedder was large too. Excellent location right opposite the water and very short walk to the night spots. Thank you
I booked for a one bedroom apartment but was checked into a standard hotel room upon check in. According to hotel that was the confirmation they receive from booking site. I will appreciate if Agoda is more careful with the confirmation sent out to hotel for guest's booking. After hours of travelling, last thing I need is to muck around with such issue. Luckily the Mantra staff/manager sorted it for me within 10 minutes with the nearest room to my original check in so I did not need to go far and muck around more.
Great view & location”
The location was perfect. Nearby to many shops, restaurants & supermarkets. We stayed at the 2 bedroom harbour view apartment. Great view from the balcony. The apartment was spacious & had all we needed. Few things need improvement though. 1) The washing machine need abit of cleaning specifically at the soap dispenser - lots of dried/clogged detergent. 2) The lifts in the hotel was not operated by the room key card - which means anyone can go up to the room floors. 3) Hotel guests should be given free parking at the hotel underground secured parking.
Hotel too old needs to be refurbished.”
For first 2 nights, stuffy aircon, not cold, lights not working, toilet flush dont flush well. Room and hotel have seen much better days, worn out look and old. Only good point is location, very near main shopping belt. Staff not too friendly.
Comfortable & convenient”
A spacious 3-bedroom apartment facing the sunset sea view. Clean room with comfortable beds. Basic toiletries like soap & shampoo provided. But no bottled water provided. Quiet surrounding. Good location - 3-min walk to Crocosaurus Cove, 5-min walk to Coles supermarket & Woolworths supermarket on the other side (slightly further). Near eateries, about 10-15 min walk to the Indonesian Halal restaurants (about 3 restaurants at different location) & near shopping 'The Mall' with a few souvenir shops there. No free wifi, need to be a member. The best part, got an early check-in. Overall, had an enjoyable stay in hotel.
short but sweet stay ”
Only had two nights here but very enjoyable. Great balcony overlooking the Park and water across the road. Great location and so close to Mitchel Street. Didn't actually use the restaurant but the breakfast buffet did look nice. Pool was great.
Large 3 bedroom apartment”
We booked a large 3 bedder View was sublime Facilities for a girls weekend great Movies facility is good Pool was lovely Toileteries were great - beautiful products. airconditioning was also very good. can highly recommend for a group booking - was very reasonable. only problem I saw was no furniture on the balcony.
In the heart of the city, secure parking, good breakfast and big rooms.
Nice bright apartment, beautiful view, lovely staff. The only difficulty was with finding out what restaurant credit in our deal consisted of and we did not receive that credit although we spent money in the restaurant.
the property is dated and the bathroom has mould in it it needs totally refurbishing it is beyond cleaning also there is no security on the premises therefore the aboriginals use the toilets sit on the couch charge the phone really not very good I was disappointed thank you Silvia
a bad attitude from 1 staff member can spoil the whole visit”
I had a great stay, really nice location and nice food. Upon leaving I was unlucky enough to be served by a woman who had obviously just eaten an onion sandwich and was downright impolite and way too officious. One of the types of people that talk to you while looking at a computer screen. Very bad check out.
Happy with 3 bedroom accommodation, but disappointed car parking was not included in the price.
Run down bathroom.
The ambiance really great”
The place and the cleanliness and the staff is friendly
I requested a higher level with two beds, I got the base level, with one bed. When we asked if we could get a higher level after we checked in they said yeah no worries. Was abit of a stuff around. but enjoyed our time
Great stay at Mantra :)”
We stayed over the New Years, great location, cleanliness and good service. We would stay again! However, blanket on bed is only a thin sheet of bedsheet. Perhaps it's an aussie thing but it's just a lil bit odd.
We had a one bedroom apartment with views of the bay. It was very spacious, separate bedroom, big bathroom, a proper kitchen with a big fridge, a balcony and even a laundry washer and drier. We were on the second floor, so the views were partially obscured by the huge palm trees. If you have a choice, ask for a higher floor. From the back door of the hotel, you were right in the restaurant and pub environs, and in front of the hotel was the Esplanade with walking paths.
Good but not great ”
The resteraunt was the telling feature for me. There was a limited menu which was fine but twice(the only two ties I ate at the resteraunt for dinner) what I wanted was unavailabe. The breakfast buffet is overpriced and very poor quality. In saying that the facilities are very good and the staff are friendly but they can be understaffed at times which can make getting service difficult.
Booked a no service room but continuously had to go to reception to ask for refills of washing powder and dish washing products. No quilt, only 2 blankets to keep warm, had to ask for more blankets. Hot water system not a consistent temperature. Would run cold for a couple of mins when first turned on. (Waste of water) Couldn't leave my kids in the shower unattended incase the shower turned to boiling water! Carpet was amazingly soft and cooshy! I got this hotel on a deal but if I had paid full price for this apartment I could have been completely pissed off seeing as it's a (high grade hotel)
